WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Workshop Name: Centaris Custom Crafts, Inc. (CCC for short.)

Location: Keldabe, Mandalore, situated on the Kelita river.

Specialty: Personal Weapons and Armor.

Tier: I

DESCRIPTION
A small enterprise, CCC was opened by Alkor Centaris upon returning to Mandalore and rebuilding much of the lost civilization. In order to stimulate the economy and allow for the production of weapons suited to the Mandalorian people, he took his knowledge of Smithing on the road and studied under the renown Mandalorian Metallurgists, adding a whole new level of skill to his repitore. The endeavor took several years, and even then, Alkor was far from a true Master of the craft.

Despite that, he toils at the Forge to increase both his skills and reputation among the Mandos, and offers custom work to any member of the culture who is referred to him or who seeks him out. On very rare occasions, he will do work for outsiders, but the cost is steeper.

He refuses to skimp on quality, however- someone willing to bleed their wallet for his work will receive nothing less than the best he can create.

The Forge burns via a natural heat vent, utilizing the planet's own- and very prominent, post-terraforming- magma to burn much hotter than coals. Situated on the river, Alkor is able to divert some of the flow into his work area in order to quench blades, and in dangerous situations, flood it entirely.

RATIONALE
When the Mandalorian Empire retook Mandalore and began slowly shaping it back into an inhabitable world, many inventors and company owners jumped at the opportunity to set up shop. Keldabe and Sundari were soon teeming with hungry entrepreneurs, all eager to dip their hands into the infant market. Alkor took the opportunity to seize some of the prime real estate for himself, and he built a modest sized Forge on the banks of the river.

With the foundations built partially in the water, Alkor set up an irrigation system that allowed for him to utilize the river itself to quench his work and even flood the forge in the event of an emergency. This added excess humidity to the workplace, so to combat the danger of oxidization and scaling during the Forging process, he designed the work area to be self-contained and sealed from the enviorment.

Because of his limited funds, the lack of circulation in the Forging area meant long hours at the anvil, and frequent breaks. While it was far from ideal, the final product made his efforts worthwhile. At current, Alkor offers custom work at fair prices to Mando'ade, but limited to one job per person at a time.
