Points of Interest:

  • Esra Dashiell Memorial MedCenter : In some cases, the medical center located on Celestia Station is the last resort for residents of Tabaqui and the more rural parts of the Tingel Arm. It contains eight bacta tanks, surgical suites, as well as an emergency trauma center. A large recovery ward is also on the floor, along with various rehabilitation and therapy services. Esra Dashiell Memorial MedCenter is partially staffed by local governments, sending their own medical staff on a rotating basis to be trained and returned planet side to help their own. The medical center runs completely on private donations.

  • Mara TibX Fueling Station : Part convenience store, part necessity. One of the few fueling centers that can be found on the Tingel Arm. Often a port of rest for weary travelers in the area. Also an excellent resource for catching up on news in the area. Station workers often pass on information about jobs, pirate attacks, blockades and more.

  • Government Offices : In order to keep sprawl off Tabaqui and surrounding planets, government offices are located in Celestia Station. Typically used to meet anyone looking to do business or extensive work in the area. Diplomacy, military affairs, and system safety are the day to day tasks carried out in these offices.

  • Control & Communications : Located at the very top of the station. Monitors local frequencies for distress calls and looming threats, amplifies and sends messages for all guests and residents of the station. Upkeeps the HoloNet communications with the rest of the galaxy. Also acts as the security and environmental controls for the station.

  • Salacia Consolidated Tingel Arm HQ : Secondary offices for Salacia Consolidated can be found at Celestia Station. The biggest offices for the company outside of Ceto, their focus is only within the local region, rather than galaxy-wide. Found in these offices is the control center for salvage dispatch, monitoring all crews who venture into the region. Marketing, sales, employee relations, security, research & development, and technical support all have a presence at the Tingel Arm HQ. Security Director [member="Dirks Hutchinson"] has been relocated to focus on the security of salvage crews and various shipments moving in and out of the sector. In addition to offices, a showroom with limited product availability is also found on the lobby level of the HQ.

  • Salacia Consolidated Salvage Intake : Salvage from all over the sector funnels through this intake system. After sorting, its shuttled down to a facility on Tabaqui to be refined and shipped back out to buyers across the galaxy.

  • Firemane Outpost & Training Center : Owned by Firemane, the company uses Celestia Station as a waypoint and an additional training center. The company owns enough space for expansion and also has exclusive use of a docking bay near their facility.

  • Manufacturing Center : Mainly used by the ‘big three’ corporations in the area [ Salacia, Arceneau and Firemane]. However, the manufacturing center is massive in size, with room for expansion. Merchants of all businesses sizes are able to rent space to produce their wares.

  • Levantine Astronautical Academy Annex : Classrooms, dorms, and training spaces provided for students of the LAA. The Annex does not provide as many services or classes as the Oswaft Station campus, but focuses on first aid and medical based classes instead, using the stations state-of-the-art MedCenter. Many students use the far-flung towns and villages found in the remote Tingel Arm to hone their skills and learn more about backwater medicine.

  • Living Quarters : Most of the living quarters on Celestia Station are comfortable, standard apartment like suites. Sizes range from studio to penthouse, mainly housing those who choose to live and work on the station. Others prefer to use their apartment as a fallback or second home while running the spacelanes. Judah Dashiell and the Alcori-Kerrigan Family both have penthouse apartments at Celestia Station, a handy investment given their time in the area.

Description: Celestia Station strives to create a sense of normalcy for outsiders in the backwater. First and foremost, it is a merchant and manufacturing center, providing a bit of a waypoint out in the Tingel Arm. Most stay for a short period of time, drawn by its fueling center and a chance to trade goods and wares. Others come to strike it rich, using Celestia Station as a base of operations for their businesses. It is truly an oasis in the Tingel Arm, mixing the old and the new to create a unique station.

History: When first settling on Tabaqui for an expansion point, Salacia Consolidated came upon locals who feared outside technology and did not want it spreading throughout the planet. Lore had been passed down from generation to generation, knowing the enslavement of their ancestors before the Gulag Plague arrived. Upon arrival, Salacia was redirected to another portion of the planet, where they were allowed to build a facility and expand. To keep an agreement with the locals, it was clear that building a spacestation would allow for a happy medium between all parties involved.

When setting out to design the station, Salacia knew it was important to give the illusion of a floating city to those who would be visiting, to give a sense of the life they have back on their home planet. In addition, with the lack of infrastructure in the area, becoming a leader and pioneer was not only important but vital. Most planets do not have hospitals, cities, manufacturing centers and schools.

Using an old Haven-class Medical Station, years of extensive construction and retrofitting work began. Salacia used reclaimed materials or ‘greener’ options when available, trying to cut down on waste and also operating costs in terms of energy and fuel.

Intent: To finally put a face to Celestia Station after years of being SWRP Canon.
