GENERAL INFORMATION
Name Celestella Designation Sentient: Fully intelligent species capable of abstract thought, complex language, emotional understanding, tool use, and self-awareness. Most humanoid species, as well as many alien and droid species, fall under this category. Origins [Centerra] Average Lifespan 900 Years Estimated Population Rare – A small number of isolated groups, typically confined to a single planet or system. Uncommon and rarely seen outside their origin. Description Tall humanoids with feathered wings, horns, and ethereal, glowing features. -
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Breathes - Can exist in a wide verity of atmospheres and adapt.
- Type I Atmospheres – Breathable to most humanoid species without special equipment. Standard oxygen-nitrogen mix. Comfortable temperatures and pressure. Most habitable worlds fall into this category (e.g., Coruscant, Naboo).
- Type II Atmospheres – Breathable but requires a breather or filter due to trace toxins, low oxygen, or particulate matter. Prolonged exposure without protection may cause health issues. Examples include worlds with volcanic activity or pollution.
- Type III Atmospheres – Unbreathable without full life-support gear. May contain toxic gases, extreme pressures, or incompatible chemical makeup. Usually only droids or sealed suits can function here safely.
- Type IV Atmospheres – Immediately deadly to most lifeforms. Highly corrosive, radioactive, or otherwise extreme environments. Total environmental protection is required to survive even brief exposure. Often found on hostile or devastated worlds.
Average Height of Adults 9'-12' (274 cm - 366 cm) Average Length of Adults N/A Skin color Can appear in any color or combination thereof; See images for examples. Hair color Can appear in any color or combination thereof; See images for examples. Distinctions The Celestella are slender, graceful humanoids with elongated limbs and softly pointed ears. Their most defining trait is their extraordinary color variability. Every part of their body, including skin, horns, wings, eyes, and hair, can appear in any hue or any number of hues naturally. Individuals may exhibit bold monochromatic tones, vibrant multicolor gradients, or hues that shift with emotion, thought, or environmental factors such as light.
Their skin may be soft and matte or carry a pearlescent sheen. Many Celestella display natural bioluminescent markings. These glowing patterns can appear along the skin, horns, or wings. Some individuals appear to shine brightly in low light while others are entirely dull and non-reflective. Bioluminescent features may be constant or pulse with emotion. They often appear along the spine, across the collarbone, or around the eyes and fingertips.
Horns grow in curved, elegant forms such as spirals, crowns, or ridges and may emit a faint glow. Each horn bears delicate linework unique to its bearer. These markings are often seen as a reflection of the individual's emotional state or focus.
Celestella possess between two to six wings. These are typically feathered and multi-jointed. Wings vary greatly in size, color, and pattern. Some are translucent and softly glowing while others are opaque and richly pigmented. Long rutter tails or trailing tendril like feathers are common and assist with balance and subtle expression during flight.
Hair is equally diverse in color, texture, and brightness. Some Celestella are born with what is known as Mythic Hair. This rare trait causes strands to shimmer like threads of light, shift color with mood, or glow with a soft internal radiance.
Eyes are highly individualized. Iris shape and color differ from person to person, and the sclera may be white, black, or a mix of both. Some Celestella have glowing flecks in the iris or a faint ambient light behind their gaze.
There is little physical difference between male and female Celestella. Maturity is typically marked by deeper horn markings, more defined bioluminescence, and richer color complexity across the body as well as larger horns and wings. Elders may appear as radiant, living mosaics.Races N/A Force Sensitivity All – Every single member of the species is born Force Sensitive, though most lack formal training. Examples: Neti, Vahla.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESES
Strengths ➤ Celestial Channeling
Celestella can draw directly from the Force-rich cosmic lattice of stars and planetary energies. In areas of strong energy, such as Force nexuses or beneath open starlight, their abilities are significantly enhanced. Healing, telekinesis, and precognition become more fluid and powerful than what is typical for most Force users.
➤ Fate Perception
Rather than reading minds, Celestella sense the momentum of choices and events through the Flow. This gives them an intuitive edge in diplomacy, negotiation, and combat. They naturally anticipate how situations may unfold based on the unseen patterns around them.
➤ Harmonic Aura
Their bodies emit a passive vibrational resonance that gently influences the emotional field of those nearby. This makes them particularly effective in tense or unstable environments, allowing them to ease fear, calm anxiety, and promote clarity without conscious effort.Weaknesses ➤ Sonic Vulnerability
The Celestella's harmonic biology makes them highly sensitive to sound. Sudden, chaotic, or discordant noise can overload their senses, causing disorientation, headaches, or temporary loss of control over their Force abilities. Environments with excessive auditory disruption can render them fragile and unfocused until equilibrium is restored.
➤ Emotional Distance
Celestella experience emotions deeply, but rarely express them outwardly in ways familiar to most species. Their serenity often masks longing, confusion, or even sorrow. As a result, they struggle to form close bonds with outsiders, and may quietly envy those who live passionately or love without restraint. This emotional repression can lead to internal instability during prolonged isolation or spiritual conflict.Unique ➤ Cosmic Attunement
Celestella are intrinsically bound to the natural rhythms of the galaxy. They can sense the subtle movements of stars, moons, and planetary forces, granting them intuitive foresight, spatial awareness, and a heightened sensitivity to cosmic disturbances such as shifts in the Force or planetary alignment.
➤ Astral Projection
Through deep meditation, a Celestella can project their consciousness beyond their physical form. This allows them to travel vast distances in spirit, engage in telepathic communication, or observe distant places across the galaxy. While projected, their body remains vulnerable and must be protected.
➤ Harmonic Resonance
Each Celestella emits a unique internal frequency that resonates through their body and voice. They can manipulate these vibrations for various effects, including accelerating healing, stabilizing mental states, or emitting dissonant tones to disorient and incapacitate enemies through auditory overload.
➤ Melodic Influence
Sound and music are sacred to the Celestella. Their voices and instruments are capable of stirring deep emotional responses, calming fear, inspiring hope, or gently altering memory and perception. Trained performers can use music as a form of subtle persuasion or therapeutic guidance.
➤ Force Vitality
The Celestella are so profoundly intertwined with the Force that their survival depends on it. In areas where the Force is absent or suppressed, their strength fades rapidly. Prolonged disconnection leads to severe physical and spiritual deterioration, and in some cases, death. To live without the Force is, to them, a form of unbeing.
➤ Shapeshifting
Celestella can alter their physical appearance at will, allowing them to take on the general form of most humanoid species. These transformations are limited to organic structure and cannot replicate cybernetics, vocal patterns, or genetic signatures. Used primarily for observation and infiltration.
➤ Natural Hyperspace Navigation
Celestella can navigate hyperspace. By attuning to gravitational fields and star currents through the Force, they can chart safe paths through hyperspace, including unstable or unmapped routes. This ability is instinctive, not taught. -
CULTURE
Diet Omnivore – The most flexible diet type. Omnivores consume both plant and animal matter, allowing them to adapt to a wide range of food sources. Their digestive systems are typically tolerant of most diets, though specific toxins or allergens may still apply. Communication Spoken languages (Centerran,) & (Song of Starlight), a melodic harmonic language.
- Spoken Language – The species uses vocalized words and structured grammar to communicate, much like Basic or other galactic tongues. Specify the language used (e.g., Basic, Shyriiwook, Sith, etc.).
- Bioluminescence – Colored lights or glowing patterns on skin, frills, or appendages are used to communicate mood, intent, or structured signals—similar to sign language through flashing sequences.
- Telepathy – Communication is conducted mind-to-mind. This may be species-wide or limited to Force-sensitive individuals. Some species speak in emotions or images instead of words.
- Electromagnetic Pulses – The species emits modulated pulses of electromagnetic energy to communicate silently over distance. Typically found in synthetic, insectoid, or cybernetic lifeforms.
- Color Shifting – The species alters its skin tone or surface texture as a visual language. Similar to cuttlefish, this can indicate emotion or be used as coded messages.
- Harmonic Resonance – Using tones, chimes, or harmonic frequency matching, this musical-style language may be soothing, complex, and unique to each individual or caste.
- Force Empathy – Rather than full telepathy, the species sends emotions, sensations, or memories through the Force. It may bypass language entirely but still communicate intent or urgency.
Technology level A hybrid Feudal-Space Age society.
- Feudal – These societies use simple manufactured goods and have established regional interactions. Tools are created by artisans or basic workshops. Agriculture involves domesticated animals and planted crops. Travel is done via animal power, sails, or waterways, and there are basic road networks. Writing systems are in use.
(e.g. Gamorr, homeworld of the Gamorreans) - Space – Hyperspace travel, extra-system colonization, advanced energy weapons (e.g. blasters), efficient industry, and droid usage define this level. Considered the pinnacle of technological advancement before fringe or exotic technologies.
(e.g. Dac, homeworld of the Mon Calamari and Quarren)
Religion/Beliefs Religion & Beliefs: The Wheel of Fate
The Celestella believe in the Force as an ineffable pattern that shapes all life. It cannot be fully understood or controlled. It is not a god. It is not a tool. It is the structure behind existence. All motion, memory, and change come from it.
Their belief system is called the Wheel of Fate.
The Wheel is the process by which the Force moves souls through life, death, and rebirth. Each soul is a thread. Talents, instincts, and memories are seen as echoes of past lives. Nothing is wasted. Every being returns and is rewoven into the design.
Celestella are taught not to resist the Force but to align with it. Their role is to protect the pattern and keep it stable. Creation and destruction are both part of the cycle. Trying to avoid change, extend life unnaturally, or rewrite fate is considered a corruption. Such acts fracture the weave and disrupt the renewal of the soul.
To be cut off from the Force is not just death. It is unmaking—the removal of a soul from the pattern itself. A soul outside the Force does not return. It disappears completely.
The Force does not abandon. If the Force cannot reach a place, the Celestella believe it is not the Force that has failed, but the world that has been broken.
Force-dead zones are treated as wounds in the galaxy. These are places where the pattern cannot pass. Most Celestella avoid them. Others regard them as sacred trials or resting places for those who seek true release from the cycle. Death in silence is not shameful. It is seen as a quiet return—an eventual rejoining through absence. The soul, they believe, will find its way back, even if it takes longer to reweave.
The Celestella do not believe the Force has a voice or will. The Wheel turns, but it does not speak. However, some heretical beliefs claim the Wheel has a center, and something waits there.
Fragments from forbidden texts like the Script of Starsong describe a hidden presence.
These words are not doctrine. They are warnings. Celestella reject the idea of a thinking force or consuming will. Those who believe otherwise are seen as spiritually lost.
It is the origin of life, the devourer of death. The Wheel is the purifying cycle to which all souls must be drawn. The agony of birth, death, and rebirth. This is the Wheel of Fate.
Still, the whispers survive. Some who enter Force-dead zones report visions. Others claim to hear something watching from the silence. There are ancient stories of beings who broke free from the Wheel and endured. Not reborn. Not returned. Unchained. These stories are considered blasphemy.
The Wheel must turn.
The Force must flow.
All souls return.
All threads are claimed.
What escapes the pattern will not endure.General behavior Celestella live alone or in small groups of two to three. They are reclusive and rarely gather except during major celestial events. They do not form families. Young are raised by spiritually compatible guardians chosen.
They value stillness, clarity, and control. Most avoid contact with outsiders and do not involve themselves in galactic politics. Some choose to travel off-world as silent observers, using their shapeshifting abilities to blend in and gather information.
They do not hunt. They cultivate native plants and gather only what is needed. Resource use is careful and balanced. They act when the Force is disturbed, not out of emotion or personal interest.
They are calm, quiet, and methodical. Most are active during the day and perform important rituals at night under the stars.
Celestella live in isolated, high-energy locations such as mountaintops, floating islands, deep caverns, or crystalline formations in orbit. These sites are chosen for their strong connection to the Force.
They build small, durable homes using stone, crystal, or metal shaped with the Force. Structures are silent and minimal, often open to the sky. Interiors include smooth platforms for meditation, rest, and reflection. Some incorporate glowing memory-crystals for recording thought or guidance.
Celestella may carve into terrain or construct raised sanctuaries aligned with planetary cycles. Their homes are meant to last for centuries and require no maintenance. They do not build cities or settlements. Each dwelling serves as a personal space for study, and observation. -
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
History No one knows when the Celestella first appeared, only that they feel like something remembered. Born of starlight or forged from the Force, their origins are shrouded in myth.
Even on their hidden world, Centerra, they are rare. Most wander the stars alone, drawn to moments of change. They do not stay. They do not lead.
They arrive, they guide, and they vanish.
