NAME: Celessa Beto
FACTION: The First Order

SPECIES: Human
AGE: 17
SEX: Female

HEIGHT: 5" 10
WEIGHT: 9 Stone
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Red
SKIN: Caucasian

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, untrained.

PERSONALITY:
Celessa was fairly shy and introverted as a child, and this didn't change upon becoming a teenager. She lacked confidence in herself and didn't trust others or befriend anyone. She didn't really know how to. Aside from losing her temper with any other children that bullied or harassed her in any way, she had virtually no interaction with people her own age.

Celessa's mother had been an alcoholic since her husband left her, not long after Celessa was born. Celessa was never even told her father's name, and any mention of him or questions she had (on any subject really) were answered by a chilly silence. Any time Celessa's mum was angry, which was often, Celessa would be punished for no reason and locked up somewhere, usually in her room.
Celessa never developed emotionally, learning to distrust and even despise people in general.

Combined with the constant lawlessness and violence in her area on Corellia, Celessa never believed that there could be any sort of peace in her life.
People simply saw her as antisocial, moody and withdrawn. Celessa really was hiding a great deal of pain, anger and frustration from the people around her. Who knows how differently she may have turned out, had she experienced a normal family life and a happy childhood?

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+ Strong-willed

+ Independent minded (not easily controlled or manipulated)

+ Quick thinking

+ Strong potential with the Force

- Physically weak (thin, lacks muscle)

- Lacks social skills

- Lack of emotional control, short tempered

FORCE ABILITIES
Telekinesis/Force Push: Strong, but completely untrained

Precognition: Celessa is not yet aware that she has this ability, but she has often had a brief flash in her mind of what is about to happen, just a second or two before it does happen.

APPEARANCE:
With what could kindly be called an 'athletic' build, Celessa needs to eat plenty and build up her strength after a year of living on the streets.
Not especially pretty, or even charismatic in any way, many would be put off from even talking to her because of her stern expression and hard look on her face.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Corellia to a single mother who was dirt-poor, in an area where most people of the Galaxy wouldn't even let their dogs live there, Celessa spent much of her life as a lonely and frustrated girl. She was often locked in her room by Sarah, her abusive and controlling mother, not allowed to play outside or even to eat if she had made even the slightest infraction on an every increasing list of 'rules' that existed only in her mother's mind. One day Celessa became so angry about how unjustly she was being treated, feelings that she had tried to bury were boiling over and completely out of control, that she unwittingly tapped into some previously undisplayed power within herself. Raising her hands in an instinctive gesture, and screaming in rage, an instant later the door that had kept her trapped was split in two, allowing her to escape.

After stealing enough credits to live on for a while from her mother's secret store, Celessa left home aged 15. She survived by taking what she needed from people by threats and intimidation. The long knife she had found on one of her thieving trips into a nearby Cantina's kitchen, helped her to be mostly successful. She would choose her targets carefully, the weak, the lame, the blind. She had no compunction about stealing from beggars, no matter how crippled they were, or if they were starving to death. Celessa had experienced such a miserable and dejected childhood, with no love or compassion shown, that she just could not bring herself to care a jot for anyone else.

To be selfish came easily to her, it seemed to be the only way to survive.
The crime and violence she had seen all of her life in that region of Corellia, caused her to be very cynical about people, and governments and authority in particular. She could not see any possibility of a peaceful and ordered way of life in this lawless and uncaring galaxy (from her limited point of view), though a small part of her locked away inside would always dream of such a life. Celessa spent almost a year wandering the streets, miserable, alone and without a purpose. She needed something to live for, a higher cause or at least something resembling a family unit, with support and structure.

One day Celessa was attacked by a gang of boys not much older than her. She screamed in anger, raising her hands again, and one of the boys was flung backwards and hit the nearby wall, hard. He would not get up again. The gang decided to leave her alone.
Shaking with fear and adrenaline, Celessa stumbled out of the alleyway, and walked for a short distance in a daze, before passing out in the street. Nobody tried to assist her in any way, no one cared particularly. Except for one. The only person who helped her was a man dressed in black, and when she came to he introduced himself as ().

Unbeknownst to her, his name was (), and he was one of the mysterious Knights of Ren.
Sensing her vast potential in terms of Force power, perhaps also moved by a degree of pity for the girl who was very thin when he first met her, the Knight decided to take Celessa and attempt to train her as a Disciple of Ren. After he demonstrated a little of his power and explained the principles of the First Order, also offering Celessa protection within the Order plus food and shelter, she agreed to go with him.
Celessa trusted this man, though this may seem unlikely, because he was the first to show concern for her as a person and teach her how to take care of herself. As time went on, she began to view him almost as the father she never had.

Celessa would always keep that kitchen knife that she used to steal from people and attack them, as a reminder of her time living on the streets, how life can be without discipline and order. A constant reminder of how her life could have been without The First Order...
