STRENGTHS
- | Cold Embrace | Celendis' lightsabers utilize Baas' Wisdom crystal, modeled after her usage of Cryomancy with the Force. Contact with the blade of the lightsaber inflicts frostbite, thus numbing and slowing the target they hit. This can be followed up by Celendis' use of Cryomancy to build up frost and ice to weigh or lock the area struck with ice.
- | Do No Harm | Celendis' lightsabers by default are set to utilize the Kathricite Focusing Crystals, lowering the intensity and power of the blade to inflict stinging and non-lethal hits. This allows for Celendis to neutralize hostiles without inflicting permanent injuries or killing them.
- | Rotating Crystal Chamber | Though designed due to Celendis' general disdain for inflicting harm upon others, the rotating crystal chamber offers Celendis the option to swap to a set of Rubat focus crystals when prompted to fight an opponent where she cannot hold back, or for allowing her sabers to cut through materials with a higher energy output.
- | Raised in Defense | Though more of a matter of principle than anything else, Celendis only will utilize her sabers as a means of self-defense, never drawing them with the intent to harm. While using the default Kathricite Crystals, she cannot inflict any bodily harm outside of a stinging blow, making it difficult to dissuade a persistent opponent.
- | Crystal Swap | Celendis is unable to swap between focus crystals while the blade is active. For her to make the switch, she has to switch off the plasma projection, allow for the crystal chamber to rotate out the focusing crystals and then reactivate for her blade to be effective in the mode it was designed for.
- | Standard Resistances | Celendis' lightsabers fall short when it comes to the expected materials that are resistant to lightsabers such as Phrik, Songsteel, Cortosis, etc. They will not be able to cut through such materials.
DESCRIPTION
Celendis designed and built her own pair of lightsabers, using a curved hilt design to aid in single-handed forms as well as accommodate for the fact that they are much easier to manipulate with a saber in each hand. As a practitioner of Jar'kai, it was only reasonable for her to utilize double lightsabers; one is a standard lightsaber she has named Discipline that is used as her main hand while the other is a shoto lightsaber named Guidance, used as her off-hand. Celendis utilizes Guidance as a parrying/deflecting blade while she utilizes Discipline for return strikes.
The most unique property of Celendis' lightsabers is its 'heart' which comprises of Baas' Wisdom. The choice to utilize these specific crystals stems from Celendis' attachment to the cold and her usage of Cryomancy. This in combination with her use of Kathricite crystals gives Celendis plenty of room to defend herself without harming her enemies. Imprisoning hostiles in blocks of ice where they are unable to reach and use weapons is her typical means of handling foes in a non-lethal manner.
