SPECIAL FEATURES
- A very high quality CEDF uniform composed of several fibrous materials entwined and sewn together to provide specific resistances for high level leadership
The necessity to protect high ranking Chiss officers is paramount, due to their experience and positions. Chiss engineers have worked diligently to painstakingly weave two separate materials of expensive and delicate threads, combining armorweave and shell spider silk into an intricate interlaced pattern that was carefully compacted on an even finer level with precise applications of machines. By seaming the two types of fibrous materials together, on an almost molecular level, the result was a flawlessly interwoven fabric capable of providing benefits from both source materials.
The engineers then produced a second exactly proportioned section of material, and applied the cortosis mesh, weaving it artfully to the measurements of the interwoven fabrics, matching exactly to the seam edges; and when the mesh was successfully sewn into the first layer, they then carefully applied the second fabric length, surrounding the mesh within. To ensure the cortosis mesh didn't sag or shift, it sewed along the expanse of the uniform, crossing and patterning it, securing all of the fabric fit together perfectly.
Then, from that large portion of seamed materials, individual sizing and cutting for officers took place, utilizing an entire sheet with minimal waste. When an entire length was used, more was created using the same process, before once again measuring and fitting for the next officer, and so on...
Strengths:
- Blaster Resistance: The combination of armorweave and shell spider silk threads offers a particularly high blaster bolt resistance (and deflection - see below)
- Cortosis Mesh: Having the lightsaber resistant material weaved into the fabric layers allows for lightsaber blades to short out on contact
- Deflection: The shell spider silk thread allows for deflection of vibroblades and blaster pistol bolts
- Cortosis impervious lightsaber blades will not short out on contact
- Offers little resistance to elements
- Offers no kinetic resistance
- Offers no solid projectile protection
