APPEARANCE:
Cecily is a well built, feminine woman with gentle curves and lily skin. She gets many of her features from her beautiful mother, inheriting her blue eyes, delicate figure, and golden blond hair. She has high cheek bones and icy blue eyes that allow her to put on an air of deadly seriousness when necessary. Yet, she is most widely known for her warm and loving smile, which she bears most often in public.
Her blond hair is mid length, falling between her shoulder blades and has a gentle curl. However, she almost always prefers to wear it up or in tight curls. A member of two ancient and noble houses, of Onderon and Naboo, she also owns a wide selection of beautiful jewels and ornate head pieces passed down through her family for generations.
She has an eye for fashion, tending toward beautiful cerulean gowns and ornate robes of aquamarine with gems sewn into the hems. She dresses to her station and is known by a great many people as an incredibly beautiful and well dressed woman.

ATTRIBUTES:
Cecily has been a high profile member of the Galaxy for many years and has come to be beloved by many. A central member of galactic politics, she has had a hand in setting many crucial policies and deeply impacted billions of species. Even so, she has not been without a share of flaws and pitfalls. Perhaps her most notable weaknesses stem from her strong adherence to principle. She refuses to deviate from her strong moral code and this often compromises what would otherwise be lucrative partnerships and deals. Meanwhile her greatest strength is, by far, her aptitude for leadership and policy making.
STRENGTHS:
[+] Cecily had the privilege of receiving one of the best educations in the Galaxy, first being taught on Naboo as a girl and going on to attend the Galactic University where she eventually achieved the highest academic rank in civics and law.
[+] For many years, Cecily has played a key role in galactic politics, serving as a Senator and high ranking Minister of the Galactic Republic. She wrote many laws, brokered powerful deals, and pissed off a lot of Sith during her time in power.
[+] For seven months after the invasion of Onderon, Cecily remained in the hands of the One Sith where she was tortured almost daily. She became resistance to influence of the dark side and was able to withstand the attempts by the Sith to corrupt her before escaping.
[+] After her escape from Onderon, Cecily took command of several hundred resistance fighters and led a short-lived rebellion. While this didn't serve as incredibly sufficient training, she learned a lot about battle during this time.
WEAKNESSES:
[-] Cecily is loyal to principle, but to the point that she refuses to deviate from her moral code. This stubbornness has created many obstacles for her in her capacity as a galactic player and continues to hinder her in the war effort.
[-] In addition to her stubbornness, Cecily is also proud. This pride has landed her some uncomfortable situations, including ending up on the wrong end of Sith's lightsaber on more than one occasion.
[-] Cecily also suffers from mild obsessive compulsive disorder. She longs for order and loath chaos in all of its forms, which can often prevent her from seeing the bigger picture because she gets swept up in minor details.
PERSONALITY:
Ever since she was a child, Cecily has had a deep affection for those less fortunate than herself. Attending her father at court and holding evident the teachings of the Church of the Force, she learned early that compassion for those of gentler birth was the most important attribute any leader could have and it has carried her throughout her later years. She is kind, understanding, and open-minded whenever she can manage, striving ever to put the needs of her people above her own and working for the sake of goodness in the galaxy.
While her general nature is one of kind-heartedness and understanding, she is also decisive, intelligent, and judicious in the execution of her duties. She contends readily with those she deems to have motives that are impure or otherwise without regard for the well-being of others. Her strict adherence to the law and the expectation of others to do the same is a hallmark of her role as a ruler. She believes that criminals can be rehabilitated, but only after just punishments have been handed down (she opposes capitol punishment and torture) and fights to preserve the rights of all sentient beings no matter the cost.
HISTORY:

Cecily Eleanora Marie de Demici was born on the planet Naboo to her father, Coriolanus Wulfric Demici, head of the noble House of Demici and Count of Onderon; and her mother, Olympia Marie Valeria, of the noble House of Valeria of Naboo. Her parents were married out of expediency, but grew to love each other deeply before the birth of their first child. Spending her first few months of life on Naboo, she and her parents later relocated back to Onderon where she spent a majority of her childhood with her younger sister and brother. Her childhood was a happy one and she spent her days being taught by her Governess in the ways of the Galaxy. She was raised to believe in the teachings of the Church of the Force and attended her father at court where she learned how to govern their modest county.
It wasn't until her teenage years that her parents sent her Naboo as a ward of her Aunt Eleanora, a high ranking lady of Naboo and head of House Valeria. While on Naboo she attended the school in the capital city of Theed where she was taught mathematics, sciences, civics, and history. She helped her dearest Aunt in matters of state while she served as an advisor to the King and learned a great deal about galactic diplomacy.
When she turned 16, she was allowed to return home to Onderon and went on to study law and civics at the Galactic Republic University. She focused most of her studies on administering the law and galactic politics, with little regard to the planetary politics which she had learned from her time on Naboo. When she wasn't working on her studies, she was often at the Onderonian Court where she became childhood friends with the Princess of Onderon, [member="Thalia Rist"]. She found little interest in the pursuits of courtship, but during her time at court she did find the eye of a young Onderonian nobleman who she would frequently be seen with in the gardens or dancing with at balls. This didn't last long however, as she neared the completion of her preliminary studies at the University and began focusing on achieving even higher ranks.
At the age of 20, the old Senator of Onderon, who was quite advanced in his age, died suddenly and the Crown of Onderon began their search for a suitable candidate to represent their interests in the Republic. They found what they were looking for in Cecily and she was soon asked to seek the vacant seat by close advisors to the throne, which she did. Already widely known as a philanthropist and loved by the people, she won the election handily and became the youngest Senator of Onderon. She was elevated as a close advisor to the rulers of Onderon and took part in many decisive projects on her home planet, but remained largely unknown on the galactic stage. She was just another face in a sea of senators, voting when required, but rarely making waves.

Slowly, she earned many allies and racked up a plethora of favors from her fellow senators over the course of the decade that she spent in the Senate. She became known for quietly squeezing in amendments to bills that gave favor to Onderon or generally expanded the rights of disenfranchised members of the Republic, but for the first decade of her service she remained largely off the radar of those who pulled the strings of the government. It wasn't until she turned 30 that she decided it was time to leave her mark on the galaxy and used her many alliances to jettison herself to the center stage of Galactic politics.
At first, she served only as an ambassador on behalf of the government, leading several delegations to neutral planets outside the sphere of the Republic's influence and putting her expert diplomacy on display by bringing them into the fold of the Republic. After several successful treaties were signed, at least in part, because of her diplomatic skills, she was given a nod by Prime Minister Lasedri to rise to the office of Minister of State, quickly becoming the second most powerful woman in the Galaxy.
In this new capacity she lead several attempts to unite the Galaxy against the One Sith, making strong allies in the Hutt Cartel, the Mandalorians, and the Galactic Alliance in addition to capturing the loyalties of a host of powerful corporations. She allowed herself to become the face of the effort against the One Sith, traveling the Republic and rallying the people to arms against their greatest enemy. She wrote several important pieces on the Sith, gave a number of moving speeches against them, and encouraged other governments to rise up and join the Republic in their fight against the One Sith.
All this caught the attention of the One Sith and put her in their sights for elimination. After sufficiently angering the Dark Lord and following a crushing defeat of Republic forces, a skilled assassin by the name of [member="Darth Ophidia"] was dispatched to the planet Onderon where, during a memorial service, she was given the task of eliminating Cecily. The attempt on the Minister's life was unsuccessful, however, and the assassin managed only to main her, killing the King of Onderon in the process. Many took her survival of this attempt on her life to be divine intervention and she was elevated to martyr status within the Republic and the Galaxy.

It was not long before the One Sith turned its eye to Onderon itself and soon they launched a full scale invasion against the planet. At the time, Cecily was still on the planet despite several warnings from her own security to depart the planet as soon as possible and head to the capital of Chazwa. Her refusal had dire consequences as she found herself in the heat of the invasion. She devoted her efforts during this time to ensuring that as many civilians as possible were either evacuated or taking to safe havens in the uninhabited regions of the planet. She managed to evade capture for a time after the invasion concluded.
In her exile on the planet, she lead a small resistance force of her own elite household guards and a contingent of Onderon common folk. This did not last however, only a month into the occupation, during one of their raids on the One Sith forces, Cecily and her household guard were captured. She was only allowed to live because of her status as a high ranking official and the last remaining authority on Onderon since the escape of the royal family. She was held prisoner for many months, used as a tool for propaganda and tortured for information regarding the Republic which she resisted.
During her last few days in captivity, she was visited by [member="Darth Vornskr"] who made a final attempt to extract information but... after he departed, Cecily resolved to never be tortured again and decided it was time to make her escape. She sent her handmaidens with a message to lower ranking officials in the capital city to gather intel on the state of the Republic. She was displeased to learn of the betrayal of the Prime Minister and departure from normality of the Republic, leading to her decision to flee, not back to the Republic, but to her mother's native home of Naboo and then to the Galactic Alliance with the help of [member="Darth Adekos"]
