Cecaelia Industrial

Corporation Name: Cecaelia Industrial

Headquarters: Tabaqui

Locations: Tabaqui [Ground and Orbital] , Laekia [Orbital Construction]

Operations: Construction of orbital installations. Typically space stations, orbital hospitals, refueling centers, and orbital mining facilities.

Rationale: After profiting from salvaged space stations, Salacia Consolidated saw the profits in building orbital structures as well. After all, salvaged space stations often require more effort than merely building. Increasing territory from powers in the Galaxy were making it hard to get away with hunks of scrap without paying for them. Not wanting to handle two subsidiaries at once, Judah Dashiell ordered the sale of Sedna Mining Corporation at auction. Using those funds, the new construction business would be underway.

Tier: II

Description:

After profiting from the sales of salvaged space stations, Salacia Consolidated quickly realized there was not a vast, endless supply of stations for the taking. In fact, most lay behind territory lines, making it difficult to retrieve the hulking items and haul them in for refurbishing and sales.

With Sedna Mining sold, efforts turned to territory in the Tingel Arm. Already having an outpost on Tabaqui, Salacia Consolidated was familiar with the area and its challenges. Yet it also held untapped potential for an effective workforce.

Most construction is done high above the planet, in orbit. Some manufacturing is done on Tabaqui, but this is mainly small items, such as terminal insets and cutting transparisteel down to size. Operations remain small at this time, although Cecaelia Industrial considers this an advantage, offering more personalized and inclusive service for the client.

Subsidiaries: None. This is a subsidiary wholly owned by the parent company, Salacia Consolidated.
