STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Force Capabilities -
(Cazoa has dormant powers that will only manifest with proper guidance and training by a Master. The ones listed below are the ones she has some control over. The ones marked with a *, are the dormant powers I'd like her to develop over time)
Force Stealth*
Telekinesis
Precognition
Neural Storm*
Life force detection
Telepathy (sensing emotions and altering them)
STRENGTHS:
Cazoa has a natural ability to recognize the easiest, safest route for her to take in situations such as combat and flying etc. She is able to be evasive, and escape tricky situations with her quick thinking and cat like reflexes. She makes a great stealth asset, keeping to the shadows using her ability to detect life-force near her, calculating their distance, before she pounces with elegant agility.
Growing up among gun dealers, Cazoa is skilled in gun wielding. Her choice being the DL44. Again, her quick reflexes make for an above average shot with all weapon types.
Cazoa is an empath, sensing what other people are feeling if she chooses to. She is also able to calm people's emotions, or stir them. Invoking fear on targets, or calming a tense situation. She has a knack for knowing if someone is lying. As well as this, her words have a strong impact on people. Not necessarily giving a command and it being complied, but a natural charisma, almost seductive, intoxicating, making her victim spill secrets, manipulation.
WEAKNESSES:
Even though she can recognise genuine emotions in people, Cazoa has a mistrust in people as their emotions change so frequently. Her upbringing hasn't given her faith in people. Therefore she often uses someone for her own gain, double crossing to protect her own skin if necessary. Self preservation. Though she is effective working in a team, after she often severs friendships, afraid of their authenticity.
Always has to be doing something, a job, no matter how dangerous. She often ends up around dangerous people.
Suffers with feelings of hate for the way her life turned out, a jealousy that runs deep when she see's people going about their normal business, and doesn't feel worthy of having a family or a stable home...but deep down this is what she desires.
Dislikes piloting and will avoid if she can.
Dangerous men
APPEARANCE:
Cazoa has long dark hair that reaches her waist. She often wears it up, so as not to get tangled up during one of her stealth missions. Her eyes are bright grey, skin pale, and lips a subtle pink. A natural beauty, captivating people around her, making it all too hard not to spill your secrets when she charms her victims. Cazoa often wears her combat gear wherever she goes, and dons a helmet to disguise herself.
BIOGRAPHY:
Cazoa never knew her mother and father, if they are even alive, if she had any brothers or sisters, or where she was born. Her earliest memories are of an orphanage on ____ (still haven't decided which planet), mistreating her, and eventually selling her to a small guns manufacturer on ___ (to be added) when she turned twelve. It was the time at the orphanage her force powers started to become prevalent.
She watched longingly as other children were 'taken away' to their 'new loving homes' with real parents. Cazoa spent a lot of time day dreaming about the time she would escape the harsh regulations of the orphanage. She thought she was going to be taken away and loved, grow up in a wealthy family and travel the galaxy. Her day came just after her twelfth birthday, but it was certainly not as she expected. The children weren't sent to new loving homes, they were sold into slavery. Cazoa's new 'family' would be on ____ (to be added). She would belong to a small guns manufacturing plant expanding their business on the outer reaches of the Galaxy. Her time there was less restricted, kinder, some days she even enjoyed her jobs.
Most of the weapons were custom ordered, requiring specific specs, Cazoa was to deliver the orders to the gun makers. She often lingered and watched the machines and gun masters craft them, and became intrigued by weaponry. She would disappear for hours, sneaking off climbing the large warehouse beams to watch the workers and droids test the guns. One day after the plant had stopped operations for the day, she was caught handling a custom pistol. She accidentally shot it while she peeked through the scope, and destroyed one of the droids oiling a machine. Luckily, her smart mouth and subconscious ability to manipulate emotions got her out of a hefty punishment. In fact, she even swung a 'promotion'.
Cazoa's new master, Elbie, kept her with him throughout the day, making sure she didn't wander off and cause trouble. He was in charge of meeting customers, discussing their orders and taking payment. He knew eventually she would make a good assistant, her smart mouth would be sure to win over some clients. This was her job for the next two years, and he was kind to her, and they became friends. They would meet clients, often in the small space port. It was there among the illegals and dodgy types, that she learnt much of the universe.
When Cazoa was fifteen, she met a client named Balzo Garris, and her life changed forever. He arrived at the manufacturing office disguised as a rich merchant and needed a custom order of rifles for his guard. Something was off about him Cazoa felt, maybe it was his rugged face full of scars, it looked like he'd seen more danger than his guise as a merchant. Cazoa told Elbie of her uncertainty after Balzo had discussed his order, put a deposit down, and left for the space port. Her master dismissed her worries, he was greedy, and Balzo's order was worth an exceptional amount of money, plus a bonus for it being completed quickly. The order went ahead, and Balzo came back two weeks later.
This time, he came back with fifteen others, donned in armor, wielding rifles. These were no merchants, they were thieves. They gunned down the guard, and rounded up the workers and droids, looting the production lines, storage - anything of high value. As soon as Balzo's energy entered the building complex, Cazoa knew something was wrong. The sounds of screaming and shooting confirmed her fears, she even sensed energies of betrayal, which she could only be omitted from the manufacturing plant's guards. She heard the office door lock click shut, Cazoa and her master were trapped. She figured it was because the safe was under the desk; it held all the takings from the week. And it was full. Balzo needed Elbie to open it.
Cazoa was scared, angry, desperate for an escape. Her feelings overwhelmed her. The door swung open, and in marched Balzo with two of his men. He ordered Elbie to open the safe, but he refused. Balzo raised his new shiny custom gun. Cazoa was sure he was going to shoot. Elbie was kind, he was the only father figure she had had. In her intense rage, she mustered up all her mind's strength and flung the gun from Balzo's hands, using her telekinesis. Commotion erupted in the room, the guards were confused, they restrained her and looked to Balzo for orders, but he simply started at Cazoa, his eyes wide, with what she detected as fear, then intrigue, then acknowledgement of something she didn't understand. He ordered his men to leave her alive. As she was carried from the room kicking to break free, she screamed 'please don't kill him, don't kill him!'. She didn't hear a gunshot, Elbie was spared.
After this ordeal, it took her awhile to function properly. Balzo had her in a cabin on his ship instead of a cell, and personally bought her food and tried to win her over. The guns weren't the most precious cargo now. Soon Cazoa came to accept her situation, and started wandering from her cabin. The live-in ship was made up of twelve men and three women. She overheard conversations as she wandered, about sending money home to families, and lighthearted talk amonst friends, it seemed they were just trying to make a living in the Galaxy. Eventually, Cazoa came to realize they weren't so bad. Gun thieves, jewel thieves, but not all bad. She was fifteen, but now she wasn't a slave, and the galaxy stretched out before her.
Balzo knew of her powers, and was certain she was one of those Jedi he'd heard stories about. He thought of her a high value asset that could help them on the crew's jobs. He taught her to use a gun, to fix druids, parts of the ship when they malfunctioned, he taught her how to fly the ship, a fighter, speeder, he taught her about the Galaxy and how it was, the factions, the struggles. Cazoa soon came to learn that Balzo was searching for his wife who had been taken by slavers. Each job gave him the possibility of finding her. She began to trust him more and more.
Soon Balzo had Cazoa gathering intelligence at space ports, dingy bars and clubs, infiltrating small manufacturers, just as he had done. Her success rate was outstanding, her intelligence accurate, and for a time they were prosperous. Balzo allowed Cazoa to accompany the team on heists, proving to be a great shot, and scout. With her around, there were less confrontations, the weak minded would surrender, or Cazoa would take them out in the shadows if she went on ahead.
When Cazoa turned twenty-two, Balzo had an unfortunate heist that would bring about his end. The crew had hit a rare jewel collector's store on the planet ___ (to add). The mission was a success, without incident...yet. Cazoa had returned to the ship before the rest of the crew to prep for a quick take off. A mile from where the ship was concealed, the crew were ambushed by bandits. One of their four speeders had been shot. Malfunctioning, it collided with another in fiery blaze. Balzo wasn't one to leave anyone behind, so he turned his speeder around to confront the bandits. It was there that the whole crew met their end - simply out numbered.
The crew had taken too long to come back, so Cazoa took a speeder bike from the under compartment of the ship, and headed back towards the settlement. In the distance she saw flames. Dread filled her, deep down she knew something was wrong. When she arrived at the scene, everyone but Balzo was dead. Carnage blurred her vision, limbs, charred bodies, blown speeders. The assailants were no where to been seen.
Balzo was hanging on by a thread, Cazoa held his head in her lap as he fought for his last minutes. He reached in his bloody jacket and pulled out a little book, and a little hard rock wrapped in velvet. The book was full of letters to Balzo's wife - a journal of his travels to find her again. In the front of it was a crinkled photograph of a younger Balzo and a pretty lady, smiling happily in a long lost world. Balzo asked the book to be given to his wife if Cazoa ever came across her. He told Cazoa to be careful of people and to conceal her powers. Her final orders from Balzo were to take the ship, and find her place in the Galaxy. He brushed the tears from her face and muttered his last words, 'you are the rarest, the most valuable jewel I have ever found, my daughter'.
Cazoa buried Balzo near the ship. She let in the anger, devastation, and loneliness. The emotions consumed her as she unwrapped the hard rock wrapped in velvet. It was a purple jewel, an amethyst. It glowed softly in her hand, like there were tiny little stars stuck inside. Which way would she go now? Where would her destiny take her?
--
I'm going to start RPing a year from Balzo's death! In that time she's traded Balzo's ship for a smaller model. For awhile she scouted planets trying to find Balzo's wife, but had no luck. She keeps the jewel on her at all times. For money, she does mercenary work. And keeps herself to her self, taking heed of Balzo's warning to keep her powers concealed.
