Catching up

The iktotchi sat calmly on his bar stool with a bottle of single malt whiskey and a basket of spicy nuna wings in front of him as he winked at a lovely bar maid. His steel Grey eyes just as sharp as ever looked the girl up and down as she walked away.

"the force may be something but the force she gives off is another story entirely." he said sipping from a Tom Collins glass.

His large hands grabbed a wing and brought it to his reddish lips to take a big happy bite. He had been out past wild space too long. It was good to be back.

Khal leaned heavily into the back of his seat. They hadn't seen each other in... feth, how long ago? Back before Contruum, heck before Telti probably. Before the Primeval had come around and started knocking on the Silvers' back, before his Exchange had grown into one of the biggest criminal syndicates of the Galaxy - put like that even Khal himself couldn't believe all the things that had happened since the last time they had seen each other.

A letter here and there sent; when either of 'em had something interesting to tell each other, but other than that? Both too busy? Maybe that was the word for it. And then Vaud showed that even though time might pass... it didn't have much of an influence on him. Khal snorted loudly, before shaking his head and taking a good chuck from his own drink.

"Ya're still the same ol', Vaud." the man finally said after putting the glass down. "Good to see some things don't change."

"The best things don't need to change." He said leaning back and pouring more booze down his throat, "If it ain't broke, and all that crap."

He looked over at his former student, padawan and apprentice didn't really cover it, and noticed he looked a lot older than when they first met, human genes he supposed. Vaudin had been gone a while, but he didn't think so much had changed, he was wrong. The galaxy seemed to be snorting blackhole or some kind of stims. Governments collapsed, new ones took over, catgirl viruses went unchecked, and he didn't even have to go on the holonet for that fetish to be brought to his attention. He took another sip and motioned for the bar maid to fill the glass. With another bite of his nuna wings and another sip of whiskey he looked around.

"Well, kid at least you seem to be doing well, not as pretty as me, but you're doing ok."

Vaudin grinned. Good to be back.
