Description: Catalys Maijora's personal armour is considerably complicated when compared to anything else that was found in the Primeval's arsenal. Unlike most armours, his was designed specifically to be moulded with his body; offering as much flexibility as possible by design with the materials in use. Rather than going with a Phrik or even Beskar base, the Exemplar chose a more obscure metal -- Laminanium -- as the armour's main body material; a material first used to armour droids tasked with hunting down and killing the Vong. Essentially, the armour itself is an exoskeleton more than a suit of armour. Highly durable, and with an energy resistant underlay, albeit not resitant enough to survive many hits from a lightsaber. Aside from the Laminanium, the armour's structure is held together by a limited amount of titanium, and reinforced with additional plastoid plating along the upper chest, shoulders, forearms, hands and legs.

Despite its already exemplary design, most of the effort was actually put into the helmet which is primarily made of Transparisteel and coated with a reflective coating to give it a one-way view; masking the wearer's face. Although it does create a more imposing figure, the reflective coating is actually used in a similar way to transition lens', keeping almost a constant amount of light coming in to prevent blindness from sudden brightness and reducing sun glare. The helmet is also reliant on a small powerpack located along the upper back of the wearer, this pack powering a digital display offering numerous tactical features to its wearer including an augmented reality tracking system and synchronizing HUD systems with compatible technology.

Of course, like anything, it does have its drawbacks. Primarily, the armour is too complicated to be easily worn and requires nearly twenty minutes to equip when not rushing. This also means that repairs take time, and even the Laninanium cannot swiftly repair anything but very small amounts of damage; anything too extensive would take a proper technician a day or longer to repair. Another drawback, is despite its many strengths, it's not nigh invincible like Beskar or Phrik, offering no superior defense against high energy weapons like lightsabers, nor will it survive the kinetic impact of an abnormally powerful projectile. Other types of energy, such as heat, will only be resisted for a short amount of time, and despite being vacuum sealed with a respirator, it cannot filter out toxins nor does it provide oxygen.
