  • Cassus has a singular will and a determination rooted in his being. He will not relent no matter how hopeless his situation.
  • Cassus is adept with small arms blasters, handheld rifles, and a wide arrangement of other plasma-based laser weaponry. His favored melee armament is a beskar dagger gifted to him by his adoptive father, the Mandalorian Silas Mantis.
  • Cassus is slow to trust and quick to apprehension. He needs proof of one's intentions before he can learn to rely on them.
  • Due to Cassus' past, he has adhered strongly to the Mandalorian concept of strength above all. He does not pity those weaker than him and claims he will not go out of his way to aid the downtrodden. Deep in his subconscious however, Cass remembers the helplessness he was prisoner to when he was younger, and often finds himself wanting to help those that cannot help themselves, even if begrudgingly.

APPEARANCE:
Cassus is physically gifted in both height and build, standing at a towering six foot eight with broad shoulders made even broader by the armor of his pauldrons. He has dark features, hair black as midnight, with eyes like pools of steaming coffee. His skin is a tanned bronze color. His armor is a mishmash combination of durasteel and beskar, it bears the insignia of Clan Mantis.

BIOGRAPHY:
Cassus was born on a planet on the fringe of Sith Imperial space in a village that barely contained a hundred souls altogether. His father was a warrior of the tribe, a hulk of a man with a reputation for ferocity. His mother was a midwife that served the village elder, and she provided the soothing touch that her martially inclined husband so clearly could not. Life in the village was simple, especially for a child like Cassus. Most days were spent learning lessons from his mother, how to make a fire and catch a fish, or how to tie a knot and set a trap. His mother also taught him the tribe's moral code. How they found honor in duty and glory in combat. How they had to rely on one another because they were stronger together, and weaker alone. By the time Cassus could run there were already weapons in his hand. His father taught him to swing both sword and club. He showed him the ins and outs of a rusty blaster he had inherited from his ancestor decades ago. Until the age of ten Cassus spent hours training to be a warrior cut from the same cloth as his father. All the training in the world could not have saved him for what came next.

Cassus remembers the events in flashes. The day the Sith Lord came. The day his village was turned to ash and bone. The sentries and guardsmen were the first to die, Cassus only ever heard the screams of their families as they saw their brother's, husbands, and fathers murdered in droves. His father stowed him in the wooden loft of their home, armed him with the blaster he had trained with for years and charged off to die a valiant death. Cassus never saw his father again, the Sith Lord finished his rampage and came to slay the boy cowering in the attic of his home. When all seemed lost salvation arrived in the form of a blaster bolt. A man clad in steel armor from head to toe cut down the bloodthirsty Sith. Cassus did not know it yet, but the warrior before him was Silas of Clan Mantis, and he was of Mandalore.

Cassus was claimed as the man's foundling, adopted by Mandalorian tradition that he could not yet understand. His warrior culture made the transition from one lifestyle to the other easier than most. Silas did much the same as Cassus' father had done before him. He taught him of weaponry, of ancient Mandalorian rites and of the history of their people. He didn't know when the changed had completed, but one day he saw himself as just as Mandalorian as his adoptive father, and the rest of the world began to view him as such. Donning the armor of his people, Cassus looked as Mandalorian on the outside as he felt on the inside, even if his suit of armor was more durasteel than beskar.

Despite his young age, Cassus was brought by Silas on his jobs as a bounty hunter. The two proved to be an effective duo in the field, taking in most of their targets cold, and taking in the more cooperative ones alive. Cassus has cemented himself as more than adequate backup to his father, especially when utilizing his monstrous frame to his advantage. Still, he looks to his future with an apathetic lens, and wonders if there is more to this world than the thrill of a hunt. Only time will tell if he continues to live his life chasing the will of others, or if he will grasp his own dream.
