    Chapter 1 - New Cub

People often ask me about my family, how I came to be involved in this silly universe; and I always find amusement explaining it. My birth, like most others on Felacat and I'm assure on other civilized and non-civilized planets, is pretty much the same. Dad swooned Mom. Dad Married Mom. Dad and Mom did the dirty deed; and nine months later I was born. And yes, I'm the oldest of three. Two younger Brothers whom I recall growing up were brats. But I did love them. But here is where I stop talking about my family directly. Some stories are best left unread.

So, as I said, I was born on Felacat and grew up there for the better part of my younger years. Like most girls at a young age, boys were not on my radar; but writing, learning other languages, and learning about droids and tech did fascinate me. I was a nerd; I openly admit that: well, still am. So, whilst most of the girl's my age chased uninteresting dreams and fantasies, I chased my own in hopes of getting off the planet one day. I knew early on that I didn't want to spend my life on Felacat. Don't get me wrong, the planet is perfectly fine; but not for someone like me. My mind and eyes always stared into the stars above, curious what laid beyond. As they say, curiosity killed the cat....and it almost did later on in life.

Anyway, a few later as I drew close to finishing my schooling, a great opportunity had presented itself. And naturally I leapt at it. Little did I know then that this choice would change my life dramatically, and quite drastically. But I couldn't resist this chance to get off the planet, even though I would be doing something alien to me, though fascinating by description, learning about ancient civilizations through spelunking through ruins and learning about ancient cultures and new languages. And the scholar, I admit, was rather beautiful. Girl crush, I know.

Chapter 2 - The Universe and Its Learning Curves

I've heard many people speak of the horrors and dangers of the universe, how one can simply vanish without a trace, lost for all eternity: some by choice, some going unwilling into the void of disappearances. There is much truth in said words, but there is beauty, majestic and wonderful beauty as well. I've seen things that I could never describe, things that made my heart jump delightfully, things that brought watery tears of joy and amazement to my eyes; things that people should once see in their lifetime. My heart aches for those that will never have an opportunity to see the beauty the galaxy has to offer.

I recall the first planet I visited along with the scholar's team was a planet called Felucia. Dangerous in some respect, but the colorful foliage, the massive plants that shined brightly like a congregation of sunrays, the way the aura of the planet just seeped inside you; breathless. This was also my first introduction to an ancient ruin, which in its own right was extremely articulately designed; inside and out. I stood in awe! Inside we discovered remnants of a lost civilization that even the locals Feulcian natives were unaware, and to my delight a lost and dead language. Of course, we couldn't really decipher the language with it having no direct lineage to Galactic Basic; none-the-less, we discovered it. This was just the first of many we would discover over the years; years I also grew older in.

By the time of my tragedy, we had visited eight planets; Felucia, Dagobah, Pantora, Kesh, Bakura, Cattamascar, Kashir, and
Soto'lok Winda'nia. The first seven planets mentioned provided us with many artifacts, cultural findings, and interesting stories about ruins and decrepit infrastructures. It was the last planet, the spooky one, where my life, as I mentioned earlier, changed.

Chapter 3 - My Waking Nightmare

I have spent countless hours and days trying to recall what exactly happened that day on Soto'lok Winda'nia; and some memories, I imagine, are best left buried. All I know is this. I was the only survivor from the exploration team; everyone I called friend had perished that day. I have spoken to those that rescued me, and for a lack of a better way of expressing the explanation, quite literally put me back together like some patched up monster. Just gaze upon my face, and you can see the scar, the discoloration of my natural skin color, and the lost beauty I once possessed. Covered, and protecting the eyes of others, is far more monstrous than any novel of holomovie could ever describe or depict. At times, I wished they had let me die that day, I truly believe that would have been more merciful than creating whatever I am now.

Fortunately, I have not lost the ability to shape shift, or my tail, thankfully. No, what they did was pump me full of technology called cybernetic implants throughout my body, head, and eyes to help keep me alive, pieced together, and to enhance my once-ruined body; but my psyche is still debatable. That is the nicer parts. As I said about what's underneath my clothes and outfits, not so much. Not all those pieces of flesh are actually mine, well, what I was born with anyway. Patched and stitched together like some movie monster. I guess I should be thankful that was all that needed patching and stitching; it could have been far worse, like having someone else's left leg or right hand. Small victories and all. But I am a freak, a morbid version of what I once was. However, we make do with what is giving to us, right?

Anyway, it took me a couple of years to come to grips with what I am now. I took up using weapons, blasters and blaster rifles to be exact, to not only defend myself, but to always be prepared; because who knows, maybe one day there will not be someone there to fix me up again. And I took to writing novels, mostly about my travels before the....accident....and the current state of my life. Have a few books published actually, and a movie coming out from one of those novels. I learned to be stealthy from a former Jedi Shadow, and elevated those passions I had as a young cub, knowing over a hundred plus languages fluently, building and repairing droids, and well, anything technology wise.

Recently, a friend started calling me Nine; a nickname he gave me because I'm Felacat (ha ha) and he once told me about a story of a cat being put together by nine cats to make him whole. I know, not the greatest of nicknames but I must admit, it is fitting. So, I go on with life: writing, building, and oh yes, exploring ruins. It may not be the most perfect or extravagant lifestyle; but it's mine.

"I do know that for the sympathy of one living being, I would make peace with all. I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other."
