SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Fusion Reactor: Powering the Cassel-Class is a fusion reactor, which controls its fire.
  • Comms Station: The Casel-Class is fitted with a military grade comms station attached to every cannon, allowing the gunnery crews to pick and coordinate targets either with other friendly batteries, or provide naval vessels support.
  • Sensor Array: To aid in targeting, the Cassel-Class holds its own sensor array.
STRENGTHS
  • High Range: The Cassel-Class is designed to be able to fire from ground into the void.
  • Accurate: The Cassel-Class is known for its high degree of accuracy.
  • Heavy Hitter: With an entire reactor providing power to it, the Cassel-Class has some bite to it.
  • Shielded: The Cassel-Class, unlike ion cannons or hypervelocity guns, the Cassel-Class is able to fire beneath the cover of a shield, thus not making other emplacements beneath their protection vulnerable.
  • No Ammunition: The Cassel-Class requires a reactor to fire. This reactor powers the gun, and recharges its shots, meaning that unless the reactor is damaged, it can fire with impunity of shells and lesser ammunitions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Grounded: Despite there being battlecruisers potentially able to provide the Cassel-Class a home aboard themselves, the Cassel-Class is designed to only be fired from the ground, into the void.
  • Gargantuan Size: The Casel-Class is a battery requiring a full compliment of soldiers and engineers to staff. Unsurprisingly, the Cassel-Class' size makes and tactical potential makes it an easy target for bombers or protracted, ground based assaults.
  • Small Targets: Despite its accuracy, the Cassel-Class struggles when firing at smaller targets such as corvettes and some smaller frigate models. Firing at fighters is out of the question with the projectiles incapable of catching up to their speed. As such, it is best used in a support capacity against heavier vessels.
  • Blind Spots: The Cassel-Class has some blindspots. Its barrel is exceedingly long, and its targeting only allows for certain angles to be covered. As such, a vessel flying low enough could avoid the gun and its excessive payload.
  • Limited Magazine: The fusion reactor means that the Cassel-Class however cannot fire excessively, and after firing five shots in quick succession, requiring sometime to rest the reactor. [OOC: This is intended for the battery to have a one post cool off period after firing]
DESCRIPTION
The Cassel-Class Anti-Capital Weapon can be summarised as a big turbolaser. A really big turbolaser. A turbolaser so large as to warrant the attachment and installation of its own power supply, comms post and sensor array. That's how big it is. It requires a large crew to staff and secure it. Using a fusion reactor, the Cassel-Class has a reuseable source of power, meaning it doesn't need such acoutraments as ammunition or cells. But the reactor has limitations. It can only fire in volleys of five or so before requiring a grace period to recharge and rearm itself.

However, despite this the Cassel-Class is an impressive specimen of engineering. It is able to fire from ground to space with remarkable accuracy and substantive firepower behind it. It does however have some draw backs. There are certain blindspots, meaning a larger transport or invasion vessel travelling at a certain angle may avoid its wrath, it is fixed in position and it struggles with smaller targets. Corvettes and small frigates stymie it, let alone fast moving fighters. However, the Cassel-Class can sit behind a planetary shield, a luxury not afforded to other weapons such as hypervelocity guns, meaning that it can fire effectively with impunity from Base Delta Zero doctrine.

Two pounds shy of a bomb.

Just two easily fixed issues and you're good to go.

  • Ammunition Capacity: 5 Rounds [Before a 1 post recharge period]
Needs a valid rating here.
  • Accurate: The Cassel-Class is a highly accurate vessel, and is able to hit its mark with surprising accuracy.
I'd also ask you re-word this part. Vessel was obviously a slip up, but the second part skirts that area where people might assume you're calling shots despite your intent. I'd honestly just leave it as 'The Cassel-Class is known for its high degree of accuracy.'

Entirely up to you how you address it, however.
