Krasnaya Xue
Red Snow
Intent: To create an incendiary weapon.
Development Thread: [N/A]
Manufacturer: The Rebel Alliance; Krasnie Drives
Model: Agent Cardinam
Affiliation: The Rebel Alliance
Modularity: [None]
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Deuterium; Proton Fuel; Methanol; Illerium; Dygian Coolant; Plasticene Thermite Gel; Iron Oxide
Description: As war raged on, the Rebellion realized they required a new substance for demolitions and incendiaries if they wished to hold their own in direct conflict. Cardinam was developed as a solution for large-area assaults or simple door-breaking.
Cardinam combusts through ordinary ignition or kinetic impact (due to the Deuterium content) as long as it is exposed to oxygen. It clings to solids and burns at extreme heats (up to 2,800K)--hot enough to melt even beskar if left to immolate for long durations. In order to extinguish it, the affected surfaces must be smothered/voided of oxygen. The combustion process is nearly inaudible, making it a great tool for silent demolitions.
Cardinam is a rusted red in hue and maintains a gel-like state at temperatures between 175K and 800K. It is kept in airtight barrels or capsules. It is easy to manipulate prior to combustion.
