Pirate Life is the Life for Me: A life living in the stars on various ships has made Nic a surprisingly good team player and competent pilot, ship captain, and ship engineer.
Blast 'em!: He's also great with blasters, despite his mother's aversion to them. But even outside of blasters he is a great hand to hand fighter and loves melee weapons
Fly By: While completely unaware, Nic is an incredibly talented pilot and captain due to his innate ability to travel the stars. He believes it is his mother guiding him through the galaxy, but truly he is naturally gifted with instinctive astrogation. His feverish charisma in battle is also a type of unrefined Battle Meditation.
Man Child: Nic is also charismatic, however his charisma only gets him so far. Being as polite as possible, Nic is a man child. He doesn't seem capable of taking anything seriously which can be off putting and also detrimental to his line of work.
Why's the Rum Gone?: He's also inherited his father's alcoholism.
APPEARANCE:
Nic is a tall, imposing figure. Blessed with Mandalorian genetics and a hard life as a pirate, his body is solid and muscled. Though his age is starting to show through via his graying hair, his tan skin and energetic personality say otherwise. He has several tattoos all over his body and a scar from a besbev on the right side of his torso.
BIOGRAPHY:
You're probably wondering why I've got you bound up with eight blasters pointed at your skulls. Well, let me tell you a little story. About me.
Nic "Skirata" Howard, aka ME was born Nicholas Howard as the illegitimate son of Gilamar Skirata and a spacer named Illana Howard. There's no courageous story of rescue or a concerned spacer nursing an injured and young warrior to health and them falling in love, oh no. This was just spur of the moment. This was your classic one night stand that got dear old Ma knocked up. She was an older woman than dear old Dad, and if I'm being honest she's still a little bit of a cougar but that's just how she was. She'd spent a lot of time flying from place to place, saving peaople and all that jazz, I think she was one of those Wardens of the Sky you always hear about, and she just needed to let off a little steam, and I guess so did pops, and well, that's how I was conceived! Of course Ma, being the strong free spirited woman that she was raised me good. But you see, the galaxy had other plans. A pirate crew had taken over the space station we were living in, drafted all its young men and women to fight in their fleet. This was before all these big governments started to recover fully from the plague see, so there wasn't much anyone could do.
So from the ripe age of 13 I was raised on board a pirate ship, treated no better than a slave. Every night I planned and re-planned how I was going to take over and kill all the karking pirates that had ruined my sweet little life. Of course...Then I started to get used to it. Finally even became a proper member of the Captain's ship. But I didn't give a dag.
So I blew it up.
I snuck in to the engine room, planted some explosives and high tailed it out of there faster than a Skywalker on a podracer. I made it home as soon as I could, but the life on the stars changed me. Ma didn't even recognize me. I couldn't find any work on the station because everyone that I knew was either dead or thought of me as a traitor. So I left. Being a pirate was all I knew so I started up my own crew...Heh...Knew...Crew...But I digress. Eventually I caught up to Dad, or rather, he caught up to me. I guess I had caused a large enough ruccus that someone put a bounty on my head. Apparently he was some big shot with the Mangolorians or Mangelorians, whatever you call 'em. When he found out I was his son he tried to tell me that I had some sort of duty to return to Mandalore. I told him to shove it up his loading ramp and well...That's how I got this scar on my stomach. One of his men got pretty mad about what I said and well, lets just say he's with the Force now. Pops gave me some credits to fix my ship and told me to never show my face around Mandalore again...But you know, I liked his last name. So I took it as my own. Skirata...It has a nice ring to it doesn't it? Hmm...Captain Skirata. Figured it would piss him off if he ever got wind of me again.
But anyways, that leaves us more or less to where we are now. Kinda. There's a few holes I'm sure you're just DYING to know about...But, well. We've got other matters to discuss.
You stole from me something very precious. Luckily I caught up to you thieves, but now its time to get some answers out of ya. So, as a little payback, and incentive for you not to lie to me,
