STRENGTHS

• Sulfur Stimulants - As a Devaronian, sulfur has an adverse effect on Beloved's body, increasing his bodies speed and strength, allowing for quicker reactions, and more powerful blows in hand to hand, or melee combat.
• Agile and Dexterous - Even without sulfur in his bloodstream, the Captain is known for his nimble quick body, as well as his admirable dexterity with any weapon in his hand, whether be a blade, blaster, or slugthrower.
• (Selectively) Honorable - Though some may not see it as a strength, the Captain can have some measure of honor. To others, this is a virtue to be regarded as a strength... when he chooses to follow his moral code of course. No one is perfect, but at least the Captain has the faith to repent when he knowingly dishonors a foe...
• Ferocious Anger - ... usually after they have pushed him past his patience. Once his limit for stupid has been hit, he often "let's loose" so to speak, and allows his aim and blade do the rest of his talking. Very quickly, bluntly, and often unforgiving lethal.

WEAKNESSES

• Dyslexic/Illiterate - Captain Beloved is dyslexic, and thus gave up on reading and writing as a child. Though he could probably learn, he chooses not to.
• Sulfur Addiction - The sulfur stimulants he uses to increase his performance? Beloved is addicted them, and has been for years. This has taken an adverse tole on his body, meaning without regular stimulants, he finds himself weaker and more fatigued than usual.
• Lecherous - The sexual desires of Beloved are... extraordinary, and unorthodox. However, while these desires are often made obvious, it is unusual for the Captain act on them except in extraordinary circumstances. Due to his faith, he keeps his desires locked to his chest, even as he wears them on his sleeve. When in the wrong mood, the Captain is dangerously uncomfortable to be around...
• Mercy/Sympathy - While a virtue to some, it is a weakness to the Captain, as his sympathy extends even to those who are undeserving... and sometimes he gives mercy to those he would be unwise to grant mercy to. This has bitten him in the back many times, and his lesson is never learned.
  

APPEARANCE:
Captain Beloved is a roguish looking Devaronian with prominent horns, usually seen with gold earrings, and often wearing a trench coat with a scarf, knee-high boots, and forearm guards on his sword arm.

BIOGRAPHY:

A dream dressed as a nightmare​

This Devaronian is one with a history of misdeeds operating from his frigate of ne'er–do–wells. After years of service under his own Captain, eventually ascending up from a poor illiterate adolescent taken in with no where else to go, he became the Captains first mate. So, when worst came to worst and the Captain died, it was "Beloved" as he was called by the former Captain, who became the commander of The Mercy's Scar.

It was said that before the Captain died and "Beloved" assumed command, that the male had an improper relationship with them, engaging in lecherous activities both would be ashamed to admit to, if pressed. In fact, it is said the Beloved was named so, as he was known to engage in many adverse such activities with much if not most of the crew. However, once the Captain died (his dearest, some would say), Beloved found faith in mourning them, and this is where has learned his own self-control, where he has learned mercy (the appeal to his strong sympathy for the weak) even in the face of his own ferocious killer desires. His reputation as both a ruthless, and a merciful pirate (contradictory reputations) has spread among particular circles. Few are really sure what to make of the Captain, who refuses to use a given name.


When his home colony was overrun in a Yuuzhan Vong attack he found himself taking a ship full of civilian passengers and barely escaping with his vessel intact. The Mercy's Scar now follows the vagrant fleet. He struggles to deal with the burden of his helpless passengers and the expectation that he is a voice of leadership and representation for his crew, particularly because of his vices.

A hero to few, but still a villain to a great deal more.

SHIP(s):

• The Mercy's Scar - A Discril-class attack cruiser, an 85 meter long vessel with a class 2 hyperdrive, and a class 3 back up drive. The ship is crewed with himself and 50 other gunners, along with 100 other crew members, and presently 100 civilians invading troop quarters as well as some vacant crew quarters... the ship is armed with five laser cannons, 4 Tri-particle beamers, and three tri-laser cannons.
