Private Can't Escape the Sea

More like her? That was going to be interesting. The only other person that Brooke met that she had anything in common with was that agent she had been working with at times… Peyton? She came from Naboo but it seemed that both their parents were of Brubreen descent. It was interesting to note, but it seemed Peyton had her own things to handle, namely beating Imperials with stunsticks until she found whatever secrets they held. Brooke, well she had done that once upon a time, but now?

Now the Brubreen was spending more time on Kattada, cultivating her research, and the next generation of Jedi and Witches. As long as the witches weren’t using the Shadow Magick. No, they were going to be using the Light of Dawn, or the Light Side. It was better to be used to protect oneself and their friends. And the way she was using it? She was finding ways to enhance the world around her and using it to help boost anyone who needs it.

Healing, or more combat oriented skills. Not that she was one to be on the field, but she could easily help support her Jedi cousins.

Still, that wasn’t here nor there. The petite hybrid was at the main landing center for Kattada, a suggestion to the new Jedi to meet her on this world as she seemed to be water-based as well. Hopefully it would be worth her while. Holding her trident, with her lightsaber on her hip. She wore a form fitting water resistant outfit that exposed plenty of skin, with a shawl that looked more akin to a fishing net over her shoulders. A smile on her face as she watched the ship touch down.

The journal in her hands was open to a partially completed sketch of a male figure in profile, sat in a cockpit with the beginnings of a control panel around him. It was just the bare bones of a sketch for now, lacking in detail, shading, and color, but she was pleased with the effort she'd made the last few hours. A soft chime and a pale, flashing light on the broad screen showing flight details heralded the transport's approach to Kattada and was shortly switched over to an exterior view as they broke atmosphere.
Irri quickly put her pencils and journal away in her backpack, letting her oceanic gaze settle on the spectacular view as the ship descended through the atmosphere and broke through the clouds onto a perfect, bright, sunny day. It was a beautiful planet with enough oceans to suit even her desire for them. Between the view on the screen and the one outside of the viewport beside her seat, she lost track of the time as the shuttle descended and eventually landed near the Temple complex.
Gathering her things, the young woman nearly skipped through the small spaceport and quickly checked her datapad. Even with the delay in the ship's departure from Kashyyyk and subsequent arrival on Kattada, she still had enough time to make it to her first meeting with her Master on time. She couldn't have been more delighted to have been chosen for training, and rushed as politely as possible through the sentients milling about the area and attending to their own business.
It was the trident Irri noticed first, then her gaze took in the site of the charming blonde holding onto it. She waved as she approached, smiling brightly and speaking perhaps a little bit rushed with all of her attendant enthusiasm.
"Hi! I'm Irridia...but you can call me Irri. It's really nice to finally meet you."

It was definitely exciting to see that she could be running into another like her. Not many that were able to do both land and the water well. And well, even Brooke couldn’t do the water too well, not as well as she’d like, anyway. But training was for that, obviously? She was smirking, she was going to be training someone now? How stellar was that? Also how silly of an idea? Brooke shook her head.

She’d been in the game for a while now, she was a higher level Knight if she stuck to full Jedi, but she branched out into Spellweaving, that just seemed to be a bit easier to get the results she was looking for. As she watched trainees, younglings and padawans disembark, she couldn’t help but smile. The Jedi Order had worked on a lot of different ideas for this world, and settled on this blend of old and new, technology and art, and pollution free. She felt it suited Kattada, and even some of the other transplants felt the same.

As she saw the dark haired woman wave, Brooke grabbed her trident a little tighter and smiled. A head nod that was short of a bow as she approached, Brooke offered a warm smile. “A pleasure to meet you Irri, welcome to Kattada. I’m Brooke Waters. Jedi Knight and Spellweaver of the Blue Coral Divers Clan… And I’m realizing how that sounds. Just multiple schools in me!” She laughed to herself.

“A good flight?”
