Note that a player-made corporation can never own a canon corporation.
This change removes probably the largest distinction between canon and player-created corporations and further evens the playing field. The rule was made at a time when relatively few people played the corporation game. Now we have dozens and dozens, plus a thriving Marketplace.
Remember that a writer can still only own one canon corporation (with exceptions for established canon subsidiaries, like Tarascii Explosives for BlasTech).
