Just Plain Ginger

Ashen Ren’s black boots traveled easily through the sand of Tatooine, but she worried that the worn out soles would disintegrate or perhaps even burst into flames. The heat of the twin suns was like nothing she had ever felt. She had ditched her heavy black robes in favor of a dark colored tunic, and a pair of cargo pants that tied at the waist. Isla had tied back her flame-colored hair, in hopes that it would help cool her down, but it had just been wishful thinking. The back of her hand reached up to wipe the beads of sweat from her forehead, and she kept walking. For the moment, she was near an outdoor market, her green eyes watching the various shady characters going about their equally shady business.
She was not here on official business for the Knights of Ren, but rather on a personal quest for exploration. Even though she had already crafted her own saber, the prospect of finding a few adegan crystals while she was here was reason enough to brave the heat. Isla’s gaze grew wide for a moment; a ripple through the force had caught her attention. It was a presence that was as light as she was dark, and it was almost sickening. Her tall form turned slightly, watching for a sign of the source, but they failed to find it. If Isla had felt the presence of the light, she was sure that being would have felt her presence too. While she was still quite new to the ways of the dark side, she was eager to put her new knowledge to the test.
She was not so skilled to know how to diminish her force signature yet, so she would travel as stealthily as she could. Isla’s footsteps began to take her in the direction of the light-sided signature, and a wicked grin spread across her face. She was the predator, and she was honing in on her prey – it was moving into the desert, away from the bustle of the market.
Isla’s fingers twitched at her sides, ready for action.
