Discovering that her mother had been kidnapped by Carnifex and her location currently unknown. Dreidi knew that she needed help, first in locating where Carnifex might have imprisoned Jairdain. But she also needed help in rescuing her mother. Dreidi was not foolish to believe that while she was fully embracing her witch origins now, that meant that Dreidi could handle a fight with the Sith Lord. The dedication to all aspects of being a Dathomiri Witch were still pretty new and while Dreidi knew what it entailed that she could do far more than she ever did before. There was still a lot that Dreidi needed to learn and that was going to leave a massive gap between herself and where Carnifex was. Confident in every skill he had.

Which was why she returned to Dathomir. The Jedi could not be trusted. The Jedi were the reason for why her mother was captured in the first place. This required the help of her sisters on Dathomir, in particular, the Warden herself. Dreidi also hoped that getting Vytal to help her could also mean they could convince the Manda'lor and his Mandalorians to help in raiding whatever base it was that Carnifex held Jairdain on and rescue her. Dreidi hoped that their hatred of most Sith could ensure that they would be willing in demonstrating that Carnifex was not an all powerful god who could do whatever he liked without consequence.

Dreidi was going to sear into the Sith Lord's mind that messing with a witch and her family was the biggest mistake he ever made.

"Grisial, go back to the temple. Inform the witches there that I will be returning soon." Her voice was now permanently changed. Layered with the voices of her ancestors, Dreidi spoke and held herself differently. She was not a nice witch, the good person, that others might have thought of her once. Now she was a warrior, embracing the legacy of the good and the bad of her family.

Wandering through the land, Dreidi arrived at the meeting point that she had set to meet Vytal to discuss what she had described as something critical. For Dreidi, it was the most important thing in Dreidi's life right now and she could not assist the Warden with whatever she needed, nor could Dreidi feel comfortable assisting the Mandalorians until her mother was safe once again. Dreidi knew that she would do anything to ensure that her family was safe once again.

"Take care not to lose yourself to the chorus, Sister," a sharp, accented voice echoed from under the many thick brambles and out of the countless shadows cast by a red and cold star. The pale Witch and Warmaster sat atop one of the thickest thorny branches of Dathomir's 'trees' that arched high over the ground below.

With scarcely any movement, Vytal dropped down a lower arch below, closer to where Dreidi now stood.

"For what reason does my Sister draw heavily on those that linger?" Their ancestors were strong. None would contest it. They had a will that endured the test of time even after their passing beyond. Others would fade into the whole to be spun back out again in other ways, but not those Dreidi held close. But there was always a danger in such things. The spirits had their own desires cut in the same stone as their will to endure. If a witch wasn't careful it was they who did the bidding not the other way around.

While she waited on a reply, bright emerald eyes regarded Dreidi. It was clear to see of will there was no doubt. A purpose had driven her to this place and their exchange. Little chance whatever held her thoughts would be deterred; Vytal prepared to find a means of facilitation then to see her Sister through the trial she'd chosen -- or that had been forced upon her.

Letting out a relieved sigh, it seemed that Vytal answered her call very swiftly and Dreidi was grateful for that. "It is something new. I have forsaken the Jedi ways that I was still attempting balance with being a witch." Dreidi confessed, looking over to Vytal. "Doing that... The ancestors' voice became stronger and it was something I found useful in intimidating the Jedi." There was a soft chuckle to her voice, while she was no longer the Jedi Witch that had been a title for years that Dreidi maintained, she was still herself. Someone who enjoyed small moments. It just felt harder to enjoy them with the danger looming over her mother now.

"My mother was captured by Carnifex. She is heavily pregnant." There was a deep look of concern in Dreidi's eyes. Giving birth was a traumatic experience in the best of conditions, being in the presence of a Sith Lord like Carnifex, a number of things could go wrong for her mother. "Her useless Jedi husband failed to prevent this capture but I intend on rescuing her and I wished for your aid in this." Dreidi knew that she could not do this alone and there was never going to be a chance that she would simply wait for the Jedi to do their job since they were the ones who allowed this to happen.

Breathing in deeply, "I know it is a lot to ask. He is one of the most dangerous beings out there in the galaxy. But this is my mother, I cannot simply wait for the Jedi to finally act. I did hope that if you agreed that we could meet with the Manda'lor and seek his assistance as well as the help of the Mandalorians?" There were few that Dreidi could turn to for help now in the galaxy and this was a big move for Dreidi to be asking for help, she was not always keen on showing such vulnerabilities but there was little that could be helped. It was not problem currently.

"If you cannot help, I understand. I just had to ask, there are not many others that I can turn to now."

Some would have found Dreidi renouncing the Jedi ways concerning or even abhorrent. Not Vytal. She held no ill-will toward that kin or belief, but they were not her ways. Serenity. Peace. The endless pursuit of managing a galaxy rife with selfishness and corruption. She'd seen the ways their valiant efforts had drawn them away from their own identities. How, at times, they'd "fallen" and become Sith -- rather than championing justice they espouse dominion over all. To trade the imperfect for the broken was no means or progress in her eye.

But to embrace the blood of Dathomir... Yes, some wouldn't see a distinction, but Vytal did. Provided Dreidi managed to control her transition. The Force or Manda or Power... the name of where one derived their abilities did not matter in the slightest. To exchange one philosophy or another left both mind and soul open to exploitation and corruption. They were dangerous times. Even if the ultimate outcome was intended for good, great evil might come instead.

A dark brow drew low when Dreidi spoke of Carnifex having taken her mother, on the other hand. Carnifex? That odious creature still haunted the galaxy. Some times there were circumstances that tested a woman's restraint. A temptation to hunt him down and dispense of him once and for all lingered, but it would -- like so many Jedi -- only led to being distracted from the things that truly mattered back home.

Though it was different to hunt an evil because a Sister sought your aid in righting a crime. That was a matter of home.

Then Dreidi sought to leverage the Mandalorians as well. Vytal did have a dual role in society. Warden of Dathomir, Warmaster of the Mandalorian Empire. Two for one. Vytal could not fault the woman for being efficient in her pursuits with time being short. "I will aid you in tihs, Dreidi. As will your Sisters. I can only promise to send word to the Mand'alor not ensure their participation." A sharp snort followed. "Though I doubt much love is lost between them and the Mand'alor." Some might believe the Mandalorian Empire and Sith Order were 'close' because of the Mand'alor's personal tie to the Empress, but Vytal had yet to see anything suggesting such.

"Did Darth Carnifex act alone? Do you know where he has taken your mother?" Twenty questions Vytal would not ask, but if they were to ask the Mandalorians for help then she would at least know the general scope of the conflict to come.

Shaking her head, "oh, no. I did not expect you to be guaranteeing their support in this fight. I just desired the chance to plead my case in garnering their support. While my mother is not Dathomiri and holds no ties to the empire... She is still my mother and I will not be able to do anything to help ensure this empire grows and help you as I promised to do so until I know she is safe." There was a lot concern and panic in her voice, while others might demand that she slow down or take a moment to breathe. But Jairdain was heavily pregnant, this was not a safe time for her mother nor was it the time for Dreidi to think of anything other than saving her mother.

"As far as I know he did. One of his many sons is my stepfather, meaning this child inside my mother has Carnifex's DNA so that could be reason for the kidnapping. Could also be to torment my stepfather." There could have been a million reasons for the kidnapping but those were the prominent two in Dreidi's mind. Dreidi remembered Carnifex's attempts to kidnap or control one of the Noble children years ago. It did not feel a stretch that the same thing was happening here as well. "As for where they are. That I do not know. My supposed stepfather believes he will be able to discern the location through the Force bonds he has with my mother and Carnifex. My faith is more hopeful that we could potentially scry for the information using a spell of some sort if possible?"

Dreidi figured that Vytal might have more information if anything like that was possible with Magick, Dreidi thought she had heard somewhere that it was possible. But she also knew it was technically possible to cause a person across the galaxy to die a horrible diseased death. Though the spell was terribly complicated and there was no rushing the process either.

Vytal reached out to touch Dreidi Xeraic Dreidi Xeraic 's shoulder. "Sister, it does not matter if they are of Dathomir or the Empire. They are your kin. Tis enough that you are from us." If they had been from either group there would be all the more reason to help, truly, but that was only a matter of degrees in the passion of the pursuit, not in its quality.

That was when Dreidi laid out some heavier truths. The child was that of Sith heritage, grandchild of Darth Carnifex. And so this child -- this stepfather -- must not be an active or practicing Sith Lord if Dreidi had been with Jedi. The Sith, however, were not above deception. The Pale Witch grunted softly, but steeled herself not to think less of the matter. If there were... challenges along the way, they would be dealt with once their nature was known.

"Jedi visions," in that the Witch made no effort to dull her chortle. "They can scarcely stand to see the Sith any more than a person can stare into a yellow star." It was folly to rely on them foreseeing anything concerning the Dark Side.

"Tis well you come to us, Sister. Our scrying can find even the powerful in this life or the next." Vytal's hand fell away and she gestured the way she'd come. "If you are open to sharing this burden with others, a Circle will make short work of this matter. If, however, you prefer to keep this private... there is a tendency by the powerful Sith to overlook their minions are not so well-shielded." Carnifex might veil himself, but did he bother to veil his janitors? Or the merchants conveying cargo? Just how paranoid might someone with an Empire be to spread themselves so thin? And if he had, how easy would it be to find the center of the web where he lurked? Yes, they had many ways to find where Dreidi's family had been taken.

There was a relieved sigh from Dreidi as she felt the reassurance from Vytal on the fact that the support from Dathomir would be there and that her mother's ideology and status was less of a concern for Vytal. It was always easy to defend the people you connect with, harder to fight for a stranger, at least that was what Dreidi had felt and seen in the galaxy. She was just glad that Vytal was willing to assist in ensuring that her mother did not remain a prisoner of Carnifex, or face a worse fate.

"I know. I also do not wish to wait an age for the Jedi Order or the High Republic to organise and save my mother, I have doubts they would consider her an important figure to save." Dreidi stated firmly, she held very low views on both factions, they did not have a reputation that Dreidi thought highly of. Too many of the richest benefited far more from the High Republic that anyone else from what Dreidi had seen. Something that she could not stand.

Glad to hear that Vytal agreed that the witches could scry for something, Dreidi nodded her head right away at the idea of sharing this plan. "I will go with whatever gives us the best chance for success. While I would like to be quick about this, I also do not think that speed of the rescue attempt should come at the cost of precision or power. We need to be at our best." Dreidi was not going to underestimate the Sith, while Carnifex may have acted alone in kidnapping her mother. There was something in the back of her mind that stated the Sith Order might work with Carnifex in maintaining her mother as prisoner.

Avoiding a similar fate as the Imperial Confederacy and looking unable to hold prisoners or defend themselves from attacks.

"There has to be someone, some way to break into the minds and the more sisters we have in this circle to better our chances in finding that weak link for sure." Dreidi breathed in deeply, "once again, thank you for doing this. The news... I have been angry and scared since learning of her fate. We were never the closest but she is the only parent I have now."

"No one is out of our reach, Sister, if the need is great enough." Vytal wasn't worried about whether they could find Jairdain. That was inevitable. Especially if Dreidi was accepting of forming a Circle of Sisters. As Nightmother, Vytal had sought to teach young witches and warlocks of the power of uniting for a single spell. Much as Mothers on Dathomir gathered a chosen few in the use of ichor. As a woman flung far from home, Vytal had unearthed techniques to make up for ichor itself; the follies of her youth had helped supply the power, and she'd come far since.

"The question is how you wish to respond once we find her. Breaching a stronghold will not be easy unless Carnifex is careless." Doubtful, but not impossible. Jairdain would likely be held somewhere able to seal or withstand her Jedi art. Kept from being 'felt' by any Jedi Master that would go looking for her, and perhaps this 'stepfather.' So, equally doubtful they'd just step through the Nether and free her in a moment.

"When we find her, I could put you in contact with her. Perhaps she will give us information to help in assaulting the location." If there was someone that would know the defenses best, it'd be one already inside them. Perhaps she could reveal other information. If not, then they might glean someone with their own eyes as they haunted the hallways.

"I know, that is why I trusted our ways far more than the Jedi visions." Dreidi stated, she was never going to feel confident in the visions that Jax had. While he was sure that he could interpret the name more, Dreidi felt that Carnifex could easily manipulate the visions that Jax was having. Trick his mind as he had tricked the Jedi several times in the past. Dreidi knew that her sisters, the witches, would be able to garner some more trustworthy information and more concrete evidence of where her mother was held prisoner.

Nodding her head, "rushing to the rescue was not my plan, I desire to force either one large strike team or several smaller ones. Something that could penetrate the fortress or prison that she is held in. Hence my desire to gain the support of the Mandalorians. I also know that my stepfather is trying to get support from the High Republic and the Jedi Order. I do not know his success there but it is only sensible that once we are prepared to strike to inform them so their forces could join ours." Dreidi stated, while she did not want her stepfather anywhere near her mother ever again. Dreidi could not stop her mother from continuing the relationship, nor could she deny Jax the final chance to redeem himself.

"That could work as well, making sure that we know as much about the defences and security as we can. However, if he limited access to the Force for my mother, she might have limited information, she is physically blind so she uses the Force to see." Dreidi mentioned, figuring that she should steady the expectations of what could be learned from Jairdain, it was something not many would assume when meeting her mother but something that Dreidi had always known.

Breathing out slowly, "if the mission becomes too difficult or too many lives are lost in the pursuit of saving my mother is one last thing I will do. I will offer myself in her place. I will serve the Sith Lord to ensure my mother can live safely, peacefully." Dreidi stated firmly, it was not an option that she wanted to take but it was one that she knew that Dreidi needed to open towards.

"If I do that, I would appreciate if you could look over my son, keep him safe and continue his training and understanding of Dathomiri culture. He is of this world as much as we are and the Magick has changed him into part beast, part man. He will need help with that transition when the time comes." Dreidi knew she was asking a lot from a relatively new friend but there was no one else on Dathomir that Dreidi could trust to oversee her son.
