DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Darth Abyss Spirit: Unchained from his Physical body, the spirit of the Sith Lord Darth Abyss now lives on inside a mask, created only for that purpose. It holds the same power that Abyss possessed in live, only that he now is even closer to the force. Within the spirit is his essence, knowledge, personality and his memories.

Partly Lightsaber Resistant: The joints of the armor are made out of alchemical altered durasteel making them very hard to break with an lightsaber, or many other weapons for that matter. The mask is also made out of Alchemical Durasteel. The rest of the armor is made out of it as well, but the alteration of the material is less powerful there.

Imbued with Sith Runes: The armor holds a multitude of runes, some of them created to keep the spirit bound to the mask or to allow the force to flow through it. There is also a specific set of runes inside the mask designed to negate the biological resistant that some species posses against mind related force abilities

Retractable Cortosis Claws: The hand of the armor are outfitted with a set of retractable Claws made out of Cortosis, allowing Abyss to block of any incoming lightsaber strikes with them, while also giving him a simple hidden weapon for surprise attacks

Mechanical Jaw: There is no need for Abyss armor to have a mouth, as he doesn't need one to speak, yet the sith lord decided to give his new body one anyway. Controlled by the force, the Jaw can create as much force as a human one, and is outfitted with a set of very sharp and long Teeth

Poisoned Teeth: Each of his teeth is based on his Throwing Knifes, giving his bite a poisonous effect.

Crystal Network: Red Lightsaber Crystals are forged into the steel on a modecular level, which serve as conduit for the power that is held in Abyss mask.

Strengths:
  • Mind over Matter: While the armor is made out of physical materials, the spirit that controls it is not. Without the chains of the flesh many new possibilities and abilities become available to Darth Abyss, including a extremely high tolerance for pain and injuries, superhuman strength and speed, and superhuman senses in form of force sight, greatly enhanced pyschometry and darksight and a sonar like interpretation of sonic waves with the help of the force. Also there is no need for him to eat, sleep or do anything else to maintain a body.
  • Mask of the Mindeater: The armor only serves as a conduit for the spirit of Abyss, which is stored in a simple metal mask, which is hidden below his wooden mask. The duratsteel that it is made out of his alchemical manipulated to resist lightsaber strikes and other damaging influences. While it is by now means unbreakable, it still can take a lot of damage before breaking. Should the mask be removed from the armor, the spirit stays whole, but is unable to control the armor, and is only able to use a fraction of its power
  • Silent: With a weight far below the weight of any actual human, it is very easy to mask any sound of steps and movements. Also the legs of the armor are outiftted with a set of mechanical dampeners to reduce the sound even more.
  • Voice manipulation: Without a mouth to speak, Abyss has to use the force to create words. While he is able to manipulate the sound of his voice to some degree, it naturally sounds like an otherworldly echo, without any clear source, and completely inhuman.
  • Internal Weapons: As with most of Abyss creations, his armor comes with a set of additional hidden weaponry: Retractable Cortosis Claws on his hands allow for quick strikes and sudden lightsaber short outs, while his mechanical jaw is both painful and poisonous.
Weaknesses :

  • It's like bleeding: While there is no flesh below the steel, a cut still hurts. Not in the way a body would hurt, but still. The dark side of the spirit flows through a network of crystals inside the armor, and should it the flow be interrupted the power will spread outside of the meant way, reducing the strength of Abyss in relation to the graveness of the damage.

  • Force Light: Force light is far more effective against Abyss than it is against other darksiders. A normal blast can diminish his powers greatly to the point of rendering him stunned, a direct hit from it, summoned by a powerful user of the ability is able to pull out the spirit of Abyss out of the armor completely, which would lead to it fading away without an anchor to hold on to. Said simply, it could kill him.

  • Void Stone and Ysalamiri: Both Void Stone and Ysalamiri are more effective against Abyss new stage of being. Entering the field of a Ysalamiri renders him completely frozen in place, as the flow of the force is completely blocked. Void stone simply is more effective in reducing his power, so smaller amounts are more effective on him than on others.

  • Sensory overload (When using powers of the mask): The informations gained from the mask can become overwhelming in some situations, forcing the wearer to take it of sometimes

  • Overload (When using powers of the crown): The more memories are involved in a vision the more taxing it becomes to comprehend what the crown shows. The dark side inside the crown has a seducing effect, always provoking the wearer to go further and include more memories, to the point were it is possible that the user collapses under the overload of information.

DESCRIPTION
For long Darth Abyss, the mindeater and man of many other titles, searched for a way to get one step closer to the force while also gaining victory of his failing body. To him the core of the sith code was always the breaking of chains, and as his body began to slowly die, he realized that his body was the greatest chain to bind him to the physical plain. As a lorekeeper and historian of the sith, he had heard of many ways to trick death, but most of them only were short term solutions and they simply replaced his old chains with new ones. After a meeting with Aria Vale, he found a new idea, as she mentioned Darth Nihilus, the first to become what Abyss is now, a pure spirit bound to an armor, simple intent without any physical boundaries limiting his mind.

The way to what he sees as transcendence was a long and hard one. Beyond the years he spend on his training before he began his journey, he had to uncover the knowledge of the lost sith lord, a investigation he did with the help of his master, Darth Ophidia. During a trip to dathomir Abyss and his master traversed the veil between the plain of the living and the netherworld, allowing them to directly contact the last traces of Nihilus spirit.

The armor was forged by Darth Lykos for most of its parts, based on informations found while investigating the lost traces of Darth Andeddu. Beyond the alchemical manipulation of his mask and the joints of the armor to make the resistant to damage, the armor was also build with a network of lightsaber crystals which transfer the power from the mask through the rest of the armor, made akin to the force imbued blades of the Je'daii as the crystals are directly infused into the metal. The mask is a simple metal piece, and due to alchemy used on it had become resistant to damage, and while it in not indestructable, it can resist lightsaber strikes, blasters and kinetic damage as long there is no prolonged presssure on it.

To split his spirit from his body, a altered version of essence transfer was used, based on knowledge of the sith lord Karness Muur, and his ritual to bind his spirit to his amulet. This knowledge was found on a quest to korriban, inside a secret and forgotton lab of the sith lord, together with his allies Aria Vale and Connor Harrison
The spirit itself is encased in the mask, the armor is only a conduit for the power inside it. Should the armor be cut or damaged, the flow of the dark side is interupted, creating metaphysical pain, and also making Abyss less effective until the damage is repaired, as his ability to channel and focus the force through the armor is diminshed.

Due to his new state of being, Abyss is able to use a highly advanced version of Drain Knowledge, which leaves the target as an empty, mindless shell without any memories, if he wants to. While the effect depends on the strenght of his opponent, he is able to use it on up to eight targets at the same time, if they don't posses any real defenses against mindpowers. A very strong opponent on the other hand, can take up all his command over this ability at once.

Another perc of his new state comes due to being one with the dark side and the force, at least as much as it is possible. Due to this Abyss can interact with the flow of the force in its neutral, natural state, gaining inside about past, present and future with psychometry, darksight and highly amplified senses. Inculded in this senses, besides force sight, is a version of a old nightsister spell, which enables him to interpretated sonic waves into pictures inisde his mind.

The legs of the armor a designed after Abyss former cybernetic right leg in their form, and are outfitted with simple mechanical dampeners that allow the sith lord to make his steps as soundless as before his transformation.

The Armor is completed by the rest of Abyss objects, including his wooden mask which is connected to his new metal one, and his crown. While the armor works without both, its full potential is only reached when all are combined, as both artifacts share a deep connection with Darth Abyss.

The trick to live: Abyss is more dead than alive, and therefore is unable to feel the most basic pleasures of the flesh. Food, sleep, even the feeling of touch are gone, making Abyss even less human than it would seem at first. Due to this it can become hard for others to understand him, as his state is far from human understanding.

Darth Abyss said:
Hunger: The armor was inspired by Darth Nihilus, the lord of hunger. While Abyss has not become a wound in the force, his new state of being still came with a price: What had been a simple obsession with knowledge while he still was human, has become a metaphysical hunger for it, a desperate attempt to fill the emptiness and endlessness of his new mind with something.

Darth Abyss said:
Still Human in the end: While his transformation made him different from a human, he still is not above the errors of humankind. It brought him a great step closer to the enlightenment of the force, but he is neither omniscient nor omnipotent, and can be tricked like anyone else if done right. Also he has carried over his many quips and his personailty. While it might feel to him like he has no real emotions at some times, the right trigger can still make the human inside the armor come out, with all the dangers that come with it.
These are not armor weaknesses, they are character weakneses. Please remove them.

Are you saying that this armor can allow him to mind drain eight targets?

The mask has a rune cluster on the inside, which was desgined to create a spell that counters the biological mental barriers against mind manipulation that some species and individuals posses.
What is your intent with this? Please elaborate.

If you are adding the other parts to this, then please add the appropriate weaknesses.

Made some edits.

as for the two points above. Mhm. The thing is that he becomes the armor more or less, so these are not really powers that are given to him by the armor, but moreso by freeing his spirit and linking it to the armor. So he couldn't do it without the armor, but neither is it the armor itself that grants him these power. Should I delete these points as well?

I love the flavor of the lore, but I would just like to see what are the properties of the armor itself. I understand the character has now reached a level of new abilities and state he hadn't before, and that's great.

haha, but to judge this submission, I'd like to see it set apart from Darth Abyss the character so i know what is the armor and what is the character.

Once that is done i can review and if all checks out, I'll happily approve it.

Sorry for the delay, was caught up the past few days. [member="Cira"]

So cleaned this up a bit. It is pretty hard to say where the armor ends and where Abyss starts as a character, which is why I left some things in that felt reasonable to keep this submisson balanced without going to much into detail about his new state. Still not sure if I should change this up more, but I will do my best to make this work somehow lol.

Alright, I will approve it. However with the following cavats:

Darth Abyss said:

This will not mean that just because the armor is approved is the Factory validating this claim on what Force powers he's able to do and up to how many opponents.

Honestly, I rather this be removed mainly because it is setting precedence that such armor can get past species such as epicanthix, hutts, or any other species.

That's a racial trait that these species have for a reason.
