  • Enhanced Blade Temperature
    • The lens highly increases the temperature output of the blade, effectively making the blade hot enough to melt most metals and alloys upon contact in mere seconds.
  • Strengthened Blade
    • With the introduction of the lens to a hilt, it causes the blade to not only strengthen but adds more cutting power to the beam; essentially increasing the damage output of the blade.

  • Hot Damn(age)
    • The combination of the increased damage output, the enhanced cutting power, and elevated temperature of the blade makes the blade formidable to deal with; capable of eating through most metals, armors, and other material, metal, and alloy-based structures.

  • Overheating
    • The Dallorian Alloy only prevents the melting process, but with the blade running so hot; it can cause the lens to overheat, effectively malfunctioning to the point of, but not limited to, shorting out the blade or fluctuations within the blades solid form. In extreme cases, the hilt could erupt.

The Calidus Lens is manufactured by the Dark Court in their factories, then undergoes a Sith Alchemy technique to warp the lens' to give them their bonus properties. The lens is no friend to metals, alloys, and most materials, feeding off them viciously. The heat from the blade can be felt by anyone in a small general vicinity, which as a bonus, provides enough heat to keep one warm on those cold nights or cold-tempered planets. The temperature lends its aid to the beam, both strengthening it and adding to its cutting power. There is, however, a drawback to the lens. Due to the heat output, and the stress on the lens, it potentially can overheat, malfunction, or in the most extreme cases, explode.
