OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Czerka Arms
  • Affiliation: Crossroads Republic Armed Forces
  • Model: C-CU (Crossroads-Combat Uniform)
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: Heavy-duty cloth, Copper, Rubber, Leather, Temperature Control Equipment
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • There are five uniform components, blouse, trousers, boots, hat, and, when needed, a bad-weather coat.
  • Each field uniform, boots, and gloves has its own micro-climate control capability, able to seal and alter the temperature of the air and material against its wearer's body up to thirty degrees either warm or cold on command and when ordered can form an airtight seal to protect against biological and chemical threats, but cannot protect against zero atmosphere.
  • There is a wrist-mounted control pad covered by leather for governing the functionality of the climate control system.
  • Outer material of field uniform can come somewhat close to matching ambient temperature to make it less-obvious to see the wearer on thermal imagery, but it is unable to match it completely.
  • The snow version has a hood and standard-issue balaclava.
  • All material is strongly hydrophobic.
  • Garrison uniform is visually almost identical but does not possess the knee and elbow pads or the climate control system but is lighter and more comfortable.
  • A small colored arm band and cap band (Either red, blue, green, or white (For referees or observers)) is worn showing their team when taking part in war games.
STRENGTHS
  • Camouflaged material.
  • Comfortable to wear in most weather conditions.
  • Field uniform has a passive ability to come close to matching ambient temperature but it is not a cloak of invisibility, may fool a tired eye on thermal imagery.
  • Easy to put on.
  • Hard to discern officers from enlisted from a distance.
WEAKNESSES
  • Only the field uniform possesses the combat-oriented upgrades and climate systems.
  • Not a fancy uniform, may be slightly offensive to more prim and proper observers to see officers and enlisted wearing the same uniform.
DESCRIPTION
These uniforms have been in use by the CRAF for centuries, and have become a visual identity for them and a sign of their utilitarian and no-thrills outlook on combat and military tradition. This uniform is standardized with Patterns 1, 2, and 4 being used by Army troops. Pattern 3 is used by naval personnel. Their boots only come in two colors, black, which is expected to be shined to a mirror-like finish for the Navy, and a dull khaki color for the Army. Beyond what has been mentioned there is not much to these uniforms.

Outer material of field uniform can come close to matching ambient temperature to fool thermal vision.

This is the only thing I would say you should remove if you wish to keep mass production as

Particularly rare or powerful special features may necessitate using a lower level of production (cloaking technology, personal cloaking devices, gemcutters, crystal grav traps, moon dust, equivalent stealth or anti stealth technologies), or rare canon technologies (Hyperwave Inertial Momentum Sustainers, etc) and their equivalents will only be permitted at Semi-Unique production.

Camo coloring for the uniforms is one thing but the ability to fool thermal and sensors would throw this into stealth territory.

Updated to reflect more modern capabilities like some CRYE uniforms which are not completely thermal fooling, they just make it less-obvious.
