- The Serin (Darkhounds) - A hideous creature created by Darth Moridin that could only be found on Byss during his and his successor's reign. While they seem to have (luckily) vanished following the disappearance of the King and Queen there exists rumors that they still can be found prowling the underground tunnel system of Byss.
- The Garani - An extinct race of sentient and colorful people. Byss was one of their historical homeworlds.
