Affiliation: Open market, primarily used by public or private medical or search-and-rescue operations.
Manufacturer: Koensayr.
Modularity: Can be modified relatively easily. Major configurations include search and rescue, medivac, ambulance, medical transport, and cargo transport.
Production: Mass-produced.
Material: Titanium hull, transparisteel viewports.
Classification: Medical/SAR transport.
Length: 40m.
Height: 6m.
Width: 25m.

Armament: None, in any available configuration. Is sometimes modified to include a pair of laser turrets or other modest weapons, at the cost of space that would have been used for a portion of its scanners or medical equipment.

Squadron Count: Sometimes deployed in flights of 4. Designed for solo operation.

Special Features:
  • Miniature medical suite including a range of medical droids and equipment, including all standard role- and configuration-appropriate equipment
  • High-resolution, short-range lifeform analysis scanners
  • High-resolution, short-range dagnostic scanners
  • Long-range, high-resolution Idellian Arrays or Speizoc Arms lifeform scanners
  • Alert lights/beacons and atmo-only loudspeaker/sirens
  • Communications scanners
  • Subspace comm and hypercomm
  • HoloNet access, and realtime conferral with diagnosticians and physicians (in more expensive configurations)
  • Bacta/kolto/kolcta tanks
  • Brain mapper (in more expensive configurations)
  • Substance analyzer
  • Medical cocoons
  • Stasis chambers (in more expensive configurations)
  • Entropy field stasis booths (in very expensive configurations)
  • High-precision miniature tractor/pressor beams and cutting torches
  • Standard tractor beam (aft ventral) for towing
  • Force cylinder projectors (one dorsal, one ventral)
  • Omnicompatible docking collar/cofferdam
  • Comprehensive anti-radiation equipment
  • High-powered redundant inertial dampeners
  • Sub-standard ray shield generators
  • Improved particle shield generators
  • Athakam med unit stretchers

Maneuverability Rating: 5
Speed Rating: 5
Hyperdrive Class:
  • Class 1 is standard, Class 1.5 for tight budgets. Speed is a top priority for hypercapable SAR/medivac ships.
  • Hyperdrive easily modified or swapped out by wealthy buyers. The extremely well-heeled (sector-level noble houses, major factions, tier 4+ companies, etc., and/or as reasonable based on number of ships involved) might use a Silk Holdings QQ-C15 Silkworm Hypertransit Package (Class 0.5) or a MandalTech 500-Series (Class 0.6), for example.

Strengths:
  • Fast hyperdrive, with room for a faster one.
  • Very good medical scanners.
  • Standard Koensayr reliability and durability, including improved particle shields (for debris, collisions, etc.)
  • Somewhat quick at sublight.
Weaknesses:
  • Unarmed.
  • Sub-standard ray shield generators.
  • Too large for many enclosed spaces.

Description: The BTL-V12 H-Wing SAR Cutter is a highly modular light medical ship with a variety of configurations. Its primary design emphasizes interstellar ambulance functions. Fast and durable enough to perform search and rescue even on the battlefield, the H-Wing SAR Cutter can be outfitted for any budget, role, or range of operation. Even at entry level, lacking more powerful sensors and medical capabilities, the H-Wing Cutter can serve as a fully functional spacefaring ambulance, search and rescue craft, or light transport. The H-Wing has a minimum crew of four and a maximum crew of eight, plus medical droid support. It can hold a maximum of twenty-five patients, and has a consumables rating of two weeks (at full capacity) to two months (with crew only). Its lift/cargo capacity is comparable to a light freighter.

Development Thread: None.
Intent: A space ambulance.
