Intent: To provide a universal ammunition clip for the new line of Blas-Tech energy weapons, so that ammunition can be shared between most units or squad mates. Isn't retroactive, or works with other brands, but it is cost effective for the company and buyers.
Development Thread: No, will if you make me.
Manufacturer: Browncoat Arms | Cade Lee Designer
Model: Power Cell
Affiliation: Browncoat Arms
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Durasteel, Standard Production Materials
Description: For the new BTI-EOU series power cell, Blas-Tech went to the drawing board along with most of their weapons. While models of their old equipment would continued to be sold, the new CEO saw room for the company to expand while giving their energy weapons something to make them stick above the pack. The major draw backs to this new and innovative system are purely that it won't work with any other brand of rifle other than the new BTI models, and it isn't able to be used on older models of BlasTech Industries energy weaponry. So a cost effective, and battlefield smart plan was decided upon. All new Blas-Tech rifles would be armed with gas cartridges giving them each a rifle specific default amount of shots depending on their model and size. These are only useable on weapons ranging from pistols to sniper rifles, and aren't available for use on heavy weapons as the power draw is just too great. One new feature specific to these power cells is a safety feature "catch N lock." This system accounts for the random occurrences where a power cell is damaged or won't finish firing it's remaining shots. Thus the cell will discharge all gas safely out and making the canister empty so the gun can be reloaded with a fresh power cell. Only fresh power cells can be loaded so as to prevent malfunction in all new BTI series weapons.

They do allow for soldiers to share ammo clips in the middle of battle, as well as sell one uniform brand of ammuniton to all clients of Blas-Tech industries. This in turn lowers prices for customers and manufacturer a like, and affords lower priced weapons that are of very high quality and make. Easy to plug in, and ease of use between all new rifles in the BTI series. They have their drawbacks, and are limited to just their particular brand of weapon manufacturer and don't allow for older generations of Blas-Tech weaponry to use them. The low price and advantages inherent in the creation of this power cell outweigh the con and are the central product for Blas-Tech moving forward as it unveils it's new rifles.

Each canister comes with a set amount of power, and each different type of weapon has a different draw of power thus changing the actual available amount of ammunition for each rifle. Measurements for what a standard BTI-EOU Power Cell has in each type of energy rifle follow.

Unnamed Blaster Carbine: 200 Shots per power cell
BTI-CC13 Blaster Rifle: 175 Shots per power cell
BTI-R Repeater: 225 shots power cell
Sniper Rifle: 35 Shots per cell
BTI-WB Heavy Pistol: 50 Shots per cell.
BTI-CES Retaliator: 15 Shots per cell

Bulk Orders only, each crate contains 500 clips of ammo. 2500 credits. For massive orders, discounts will be given.

The way the energy drain works, the more shots equals the less amount of energy each bolt requires. Thus in clips with lower shots, the bolts are stronger, and do more damage.
