OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a versatile plasma cannon for use on Bryn'adûl Cruisers.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: The Bryn'adûl
  • Affiliation: The Bryn'adûl
  • Model: Plasma Cannon
  • Modularity: The beauty of the Modular PC is that its plasma gas is stored in a contained unit, switching the molecular properties of gas -
- Solar Ionization
- Superheated Plasma
- Ion

  • Production: Limited
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Cruised Plasma Cannon
  • Size: Very Large
  • Weight: Extreme
  • Ammunition Type: Modular/Pliable Superheated Plasma - Dependent
  • Ammunition Capacity: Unlimited - Dependent on the Reactor

  • Reload Speed: Low
  • Effective Range: Long Range
  • Rate of Fire: Low [Typically requires ten seconds to switch between firing modes, takes thirty seconds to switch to Solar Ion Plasma Variants]
  • Stopping Power: Very High
  • Recoil: Very Low - Continuous Beam(s)
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Crell Control: These weapons are controlled by a singular organism acting as a synthetically organic computer, operating the various weapons with accuracy and cohesive tactical fire lines.
  • Modular Battery Weapon: This cannon operates using concentrated beams of plasmatic energy capable of dealing precise and critical damage. However, the weapon due to its modularity can aslo be used to attack with wider beams with a greater area of damage, allowing for versatile fire depending on the enemies defences. Able to switch between standard plasmatic, ion and solar ion based beams.
  • Beam-Link: The conductive beams can be joint together, to create a massively powerful variant of the selected beam type.
  • Re-route: All of the ships weaponry can be repurposed and re-routed to focus into singular systems of weapons.
  • Firing Cycler: The Cycler is used to store three base plasma energies, each cycled out as the weapons are made to switch between the varied methods of damage.
Strengths:
  • Devastating: The Modular Plasma Cannons create powerful beams of modifiable plasmatic energy, able of using basic plasma or ion beams to brutalise shielding and fighters - or their more advanced solar ionised weaponry to devastate larger ships. These variants of the beams have shorter firing times when spread throughout the ship exterior. However, the solar ion beams can bypass standard shielding - melting the hull of ships. These weapons are the Bryn'adûl analogy for standard Turbolasers, however are several times more powerful.
  • Versatile: This cannon can be utilised to face a wide variety of foes, able to beam-link to target specific areas of ships with different weaponry - allowing for pinpoint accurate attacks.
Weaknesses:
  • Jack of All: By its inherent design, this weapon on a placement to placement basis is a counter-measure to serve a variety of purposes in combative situations. Thusly, this means these weapons are not as powerful as their limited production equals in terms of strictly ionic or plasmatic weaponry.
  • Automated: These turrets are typically under an automated control, similar to that of a computer based control, these weapons have no fallback of manual operation when the Crell is taken offline or killed.
DESCRIPTION:
These turrets were designed as part of a military testing site. Initially used as a flexible defensive system within Bryn'adûl research labs, these turrets were upsized in production and produced in masse alongside the first Bryn'adûl Cruisers, developed in Beledrad Shipyard on Edemar, these cannons were built integrated into the Bryn'adûl Heavy Cruisers - technically a part of the ship itself.
