Brutal Protector and Savage Beauty

I'd been putting things off for awhile now...I'd had chances to go back to Corellia for ages now but I hadn't wanted to risk the authorities knowing I was back there. Now though with some of the things I'd been through, some of the people I'd come to care for and even love I couldn't keep putting it off. Sending out a transmission to Jae's personal comm device I said "Cyar'ika I'm gonna need you to head to the Dauntless. I'm currently in the hangar on The Rogue's Salvation there's a trip I've been putting off for too long and I want someone I know cares about me to come on this trip with me." We'd been on Coruscant for an extended leave for awhile now and it was as good a time as any to make the trip to Brokellia, the ruins of my homeworld.... I quietly wondered what had happened to my family's estate. Let alone Seras, I'd been shipped off by her to Coruscant awhile ago and odds were if she'd kept tabs on me she'd know the moment I left this safe-house we'd been camped out in while on Coruscant. In any case I'd give Jae the rundown when she got aboard the Dauntless and we were airborne....

@Jae Jordan

Jae was down in the training room of the Rogue's Salvation, not particularly training too hard, just having too much energy and needing to do something with it. Throwing punches and kicks rather lazily and at times just spinning around. She was laying down on the ground when she heard Andorreth's voice through her personal comm device. Sitting up she listened to what he was saying before replying, "Oo, a trip! Meet you in the Dauntless in 5." She said before hopping off the floor and grabbing her jacket. She checked herself over and nodded as she had everything she needed and began her walk to the Dauntless. She wondered what trip Andorreth had in mind, noting he sounded rather serious. That and he stated he'd been putting it off for a while, which meant he'd been meaning to make this trip for a while now. Approaching the Dauntless she looked around and waited for him to meet her there.

Popping out of the hatch in my trademark beskar armor I motioned for Jae to come aboard. As she did I closed the cargo bay door of the Dauntless and said softly "We're going on a trip I've put off for awhile now Jae. To Brokellia, the remains and re-established bits of my homeworld. I.....need to see if my family's estate is still there. Also.....it's time I face the assassin who forced me away and killed my brother. To that end I want you there and also....odds are that my.....adoptive mother will be there on Brokellia. Her naem is Seras, and she is to my knowledge Dar'manda still. Not Mandalorian, she was exiled for her ways of assassination, information gathering, and selectiveness with who she killed and which contracts she took. She also gave me a family when I'd been exiled from my own, she's as close as I get in terms of a mother until I prove my innocence."

Pausing I looked at Jae and said "Also odds are she'll want to meet you.... Go ahead and get showered there's a gift for you in my cabin just follow the smell of pine smelling incense. I'll be in after I get the coordinates punched into the nav-computer and engage the take-off and jump sequence." I'd left a set of beskar armor suited for a young woman in my cabin. I finished getting the coordinates punched in and began the automated takeoff sequence. Hopefully she'd like the colors and fit...when she'd been out last time here on the Dauntless she'd been taken from me, she'd also been in a bacta bath where I'd had the medical probe laser map her body. Partially to see if she needed anything and partially so I could get measurements for a custom set of beskar armor. I'd etched and painted it myself, floral tribal patterns were etched into the beskar and light turquoise blue paint was used for decoration. As The Dauntless rose and took off I headed back to my cabin to see if she'd found her surprise yet, it'd be a long bit of time before we arrived at Brokellia....

She looked up at him as he spoke, listening to the plan he had laid out for the two of them. She nodded, understanding how important it was for him to return to his home world and come face to face with the assassin who'd destroyed his whole world in a matter of moments. She tilted her head slightly at the mention of his adoptive mother, interested and happily willing to meet her. She noticed how this topic affected him and his demeanour. Walking up to him she gently wrapped her arms around his waist, looking up at him. "I'll be there, right next to you." She said reassuringly, "And I'm happy to meet your adoptive mother." She smiled before giving him a quick peck and turning to go have a shower.

She went ahead and grabbed a cool shower, feeling refreshed afterwards. She was drying her hair off as she slowly walked up to Andorreth's bed and looked for the gift he'd promised. She came across a set of beskar armour, "It's blue!" She cheered quietly to herself as she picked up the armour and looked it over, proceeding to trying it on, not able to contain her excitement. She ran her eyes over the armour once she'd gotten it on, "Cool.." She whispered to herself. She heard Andorreth about to walk into his cabin and quickly hid in the corner and waited for him to walk in. As the door shut she quietly crept up behind him and clapped her hands over his shoulders, "BOO!" She laughed as he turned around and she removed her helmet. "Thank you for my gift." She said smiling before she leant up and kissed him gently.

Hearing Jae say she'd be happy to meet Seras put a smile on my face. Seras would like her that's for sure, odds were too that Seras would have her help hunt down Fives. Hunting for Seras was a bonding experience and odds were Seras would want to bond. Heading towards my cabin I heard Jae move off behind the door, smoothly too... Coming through the door she jumped out and said boo. Chuckling as she removed the helmet I grabbed her wrists and deflected them down towards the deck gently. Then I pressed gently along the underside of her wrists. Triggering the blades on her left gauntlet one on the underside of the wrist and another jagged blade along her forearm I met her eyes. Then the beskar segmented whip dropped from her right gauntlet and clinked against the floor. Returning her kiss I said "This is probably the best I can do to protect you cyar'ika, beskar is known to be able to take strikes from Lightsabers and not cave. Add all the features I paid for in that suit of beskar and odds are you could buy and outfit a small dropship."

"The armor suits you though, thigh plates can pop open with a trigger from the HUD in your helmet, and can store blades or other surprises. Your armor has magnetic points on it as well...." Leaning against Jae I softly touched her outer thighs. Then her waist and along her ribs and back. "Here, here, and here. This armor cost easily half a million credits but it is mapped specifically to your body the armor was designed for only you to wear it. Along with that fact it can take lightsaber blows but the chest and back along with thighs is where that protection is strongest. I had to have some kind of balance so while it can take hits from sabers to say nothing of just being able to soak up blaster fire it is more geared for stealth and ease of movement. To that end there's a small stealth field generator on the belt as well. No price is too much for you to have proper protection Jae..."

Gently pressing the wrist segment of her gauntlets I retracted the blades and whip into her gauntlets and pulling her against me I kissed her lips before saying "That was a fast shower by the way, makes me wonder what it is you have on under the armor..." As much as I could be sultry I knew I'd be back in the role of vicious hunter soon enough. For now though I was fine to let there be a little bit of happiness before Jae and I began some training as it was we had a good few hours until we hit Brokellia orbit...

@Jae Jordan

As he grabbed her wrists she watched carefully, feeling him apply a small amount of pressure to the underside of her wrists. She jumped a little as the blade shot out from her left gauntlet, her head whipping around to examine the blades and then looking down as her eyes trailed the whip on her right gauntlet, all the way to the ground. Her eyes met back at his as he spoke to her, expressing this was the best he could do to ensure her safety. She nodded a couple times, mostly to herself as she noted that the armour would be able to withstand strikes from a lightsaber, though that didn't mean she could be any less careful.

Jae followed his hand with her eyes as he started from her outer thigh and made his way along her ribs and back, smirking lightly at him as he continued to explain the features of the armour. However her eyes widened and her entire expression changed when he made a quick note of how much he'd spent on the armour. "HALF a million credits?! Andorreth!" She exclaimed at him, still in a state of disbelief of how much he'd spent on the armour. Though she didn't get mad with him, knowing that he'd only done this to make sure she was safe in the future and for anything they may run into. She looked down to the belt that was equipped with a stealth field generator, she liked the sound of that. "Despite the outrageous price, I do love my new armour. Thank you." She said smiling up at him.

As he retracted the blades in her gauntlets she leaned into him, meeting him for the kiss. She laughed lightly at his comment regarding her shower and what she had under her armour. She leaned further into him, her lips almost touching his but not quite before she said quietly, "Well maybe if you ask nicely you can find out..." Before kissing him once again.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

I heard Jae exclaim the number of credits I'd spent then my name. Smiling with a shrug I said "Mine cost an even million. Only reason your cost half that is because of some features that I didn't include also because the other half is what Seras will insist on adding to your armor. As for the armor your welcome cyar'ika I hope it keeps you safe." She'd laughed at my comment on what she had under her armor then leaned in against me her lips barely an inch from mine as she quietly said "If I asked nicely I could find out." Wrapping one arm behind her waist I pulled her tight against me as my hand gently squeezed her bum I leaned in and whispered in her ear. "May I please find out what you have under that nice armor cyar'ika?" Then I moved in and met her lips before kissing her passionately. At the very least I could give her a thrill while we made our way to Brokellia....

@Jae Jordan

After the foray we'd I headed into the shower in my cabin to quickly get cleaned up. The odds of Seras showing up when we entered Brokellia orbit were actually very high. After finishing up with my shower I dried off and re-dressed pulling on a charcoal grey shirt and black compression shorts as I pulled on the insulated body suit and began replacing the armor plates. Pulling on the beskar Cuirass I engaged the magnetic locks of my Vespera beskar'gam and then the armored segments sealed over the gaps in my armor. Then..... Hello Andorreth, it's been awhile prepare your ship to dock when you come into the orbit of Brokellia and be ready to hunt I've found him Andorreth I've found the man who killed your brother." ~ Seras

Well at least she'd given me a forewarning she'd be boarding. The weapons I carried were still magnetically locked in place on and in my armor, my sabers rested along my lower back, the container of sand at the right side of my belt, and Tamerlein was sheathed along my right hip on my belt. I was ready to go to war....The Verpine Rifle Seras had given me was locked against my right thigh plate and I meant to finally end this. Jae would be included in this hunt because she was my girlfriend, and though I may not have outright said it to her I did in fact love her. It was time to introduce her to my adoptive mother, time to hunt and begin a new chapter....

@Jae Jordan

Jae had been lying on the bed for a few moments after Andorreth had left to head to his shower and to get cleaned up. She sighed, taking in one last breath before heading to her own cabin to shower and wash off. After she was clean she dried herself off and padded over to the drawers, pulling out a black shirt and throwing it on over her head. Jae made her way to her bed where she'd carefully placed her beskar armour from Andorreth, smiling at it once again as she was excited to wear it again. Jae pulled on the armour and checked herself over, making sure all the armour plates were as they should be. She fiddled with the underside of her wrist a little until a pair of blades extended and ran her eyes along the silent blades, smirking as she retracted the blades. She took time to admire the floral patterns that had been etched into her armour. She loved every bit of the armour and liked knowing it was hers, still ever grateful to Andorreth for the money he'd spent on her.

After one final check she made her way to the door and exited the cabin, making her way to the Dauntless. As she walked down the corridors in the ship she couldn't help playing around with all the little tricks hidden all around her armour, smiling as she began to get used to being in the beskar armour. Jae couldn't wait to put it into use and see what it could do.

I'd been pondering why it was now that Seras was contacting me but I wasn't about to complain. We were approaching a drop point where we drop and jump the rest of the way to Corellia. I was warming up the engines of the Dauntless and triggered the loading bay doors so Jae could hop aboard. Watching the cameras I saw Jae coming aboard and closed the ramp after her. Triggering the drop bay in the Rogue's Salvation I jetted out and engaged the hyperdrive to take us the rest of the way to Corellian orbit. Jae had made it to the cockpit and began sitting down. Turning to face her I said "there are a few things to tell you about Corellia Jae, one is there's a lot of weird radiation in certain parts, second is we'll be moving through slums when we are on the planet as that's where hunters, assassins and the like hang out. Third, Seras will be leading us through some things and she'll test you in a few different ways but none would actually put you in danger."

Pausing for a couple of seconds I sighed and looked at my helmet sitting on the control console. Glancing back at Jae I said "you're going to need to kill people on this mission. More than that though we'll all need to be very careful and precise when we do kill people. The reason for the beskar'gam is part of that, another part is that we're hunting the assassin who killed my brother and framed me. Corellian law demands that the person wronged has to end the life of the person who actually committed the crime. In a public spectacle as there need to be witnesses to what occurred.... So Jae you will be seeing death, and you will be seeing me not fight this man. I'll be executing him...You needed to know what will be happening cyar'ika and more than that it will still probably shock you how precise and methodical I'll be on this hunt."

Taking her hand in mine I placed it against my chest and said "You're always here though Jae, and I need you to know that I love you." Looking at her I waited for her reaction to the things I'd told her and what I'd confessed...

@Jae Jordan

Jae didn't glance back when she heard the ramp closing after her as she entered onto the Dauntless. Entering the cock-pit she placed a hand on Andorreth's shoulder and squeezed gently, partly to greet and announce her arrival and let him know she were here but also as a subtle reminded that she was here. Here with him and here for him. She had yet to learn what would unfold in the mission but she had a good guess it wasn't going to be as easy as any other mission they'd gone on for Andorreth. She knew it involved his brother and going after the one who assassinated him. So she wanted Andorreth to know he had her.

She smiled when he turned to face her, listening as he proceeded in telling her a few things. She had no concerns about the mission, though if there was one thing she was secretly a little cautious about was meeting his adoptive mother. She didn't quite know what to expect from her and not only was she curious about the 'tests' but also to how Seras may react to her, given the time Seras and Andorreth would have spent together. Whatever the outcome may be Jae was more than happy to meet the woman.

Jae nodded her head in understanding, knowing from the moment Andorreth had mentioned the mission to her that she would need to kill people, he would need to kill people. And she was ready for that. She knew Andorreth had a score to settle with this assassin who'd turned his life upside down in a matter of mere moments, and Jae would gladly oblige in helping him achieve that. "Andorreth, you don't need to worry about me. I'm ready for whatever Corellia and that assassin plan to throw at us." She replied, smiling a small and comforting smile, "Besides, how are we going to keep things between us interesting if you don't keep surprising me?" She asked in response to him mentioning she'd be shocked at how precise and methodical he'd be, her eyes sparkling gently as she tried to lighten up the mood.

She watched as he took her hand to his chest and she could have sworn her heart skipped a beat as she heard the words that fell out of his mouth. She knew they were close, more than close. But hearing him say it, those exact words. It hit her like a tonne of bricks. She smiled at him and leaned closer towards him, sharing a simple but sweet kiss with him before parting, "I love you too." She replied, looking up to his eyes before leaning back in her chair, "And of course I'm always here, you ain't getting rid of me that easily." She said smirking.

Feeling Jae's kiss was like wind beneath my wings. Smiling I felt a slight lurch as we'd.....popped out of hyperspace? Glancing at the readouts I saw that we were, well I guess my talents now....somehow included hyperspace mapping...which was dangerous to say the least. A hailing frequency came over the shipboard PA and I heard."Dauntless this is the Basilisk prepare for me to come alongside and dock, Andorreth if you're at the helm that explains everything I always knew you were a better pilot than I could ever teach. Docking in 15 seconds going to be coming in through airlock by the cockpit so be prepared Seras out." Looking at Jae I said "get ready cyar'ika she may...surprise you." As if on cue I felt a slight lurch as the magnetic clamps of The Basilisk locked against the Dauntless' hull. Looking at the readouts I saw that the airlock was being opened and pressure was being equalized.

Placing a hand on Jae's hip I said softly "First test will be handshake, as she goes fro the handshake with you place yourself slightly in front of me and to the left, eject the left blade at an angle that could cut her wrist. It's a Mando'ade dominance test to see if you're strong enough to be a match against any potential suitor." As if on cue I heard the airlock being opened and Seras descending the ladder by a gun turret. I saw her boots first as she came into view fully and pulled her helmet off.

0992bba864e308e18da906e4067843b5.jpg
She shook out her hair briefly and smiled as she moved to greet me. Having had barely enough time to instruct Jae I hoped Seras would take it as a sign of dominance. Force knew she'd recognize the blade on my left hip that'd kill my brother. Odds were that'd warrant an explanation and longer odds were that it'd mean me, Seras, my girlfriend, and Celiana would somehow end up working together at some point. Oh well, "bonding" needed to happen through this hunt now was as good a time as any.

@Jae Jordan

Jae glanced up as the PA system sounded off, hearing a female voice sounding through the ship. She guessed it was Seras before she signed off using her name, her voice sounding full of authority. She smirked at Andorreths warning, "I'm ready for anything." She assured him with a cocky smile, but she was waiting in anticipation to learn who this Seras was, what she looked like, how she behaved, everything. She felt the ship lurch slightly as the two spacecrafts linked with one another.

As Jae stood and made to walk closer to where Seras would be appearing she felt Andorreths hand on her hip an paused, listening to what he said to her as she glanced down, taking in every word and listening to his commands. Jae only had time to return a subtle and barely noticeable nod before the airlock opened and she heard boots tapping the cold metal as Seras made her way down the ladder. Jae blinked as she took in her appearance and noted a couple things, nothing of extreme importance, simply observing a new acquaintance.

Seras wasted no time in walking forward and beginning her greetings, as she did Jae followed every instruction Andorreth had told her to do before she'd arrived. Standing a little in front of Andorreth to the left, not to block him from view but enough to now be in front of him, reached her hand out to shake hands and motioned for the blade to eject itself from its place beneath her wrist, angling it at an obvious spot where it could cut her. "Jae Jordan. It's lovely to finally meet you." Jae greeted with a warm smile. She wouldn't admit she felt slightly intimated, but she hoped she'd followed all of Andorreths instructions correctly.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Smirking as Jae ejected the blade I saw Seras' eyes cut to her then met her eyes. Seras looked her up, then down and back up again. Smirking she said "Well, if he didn't train you on that then well done indeed Jae'rika" Then faster than Jae could blink Seras had ejected her own modified version of the hidden blade and slashed it across Jae's beskar breastplate crossing from neck over one breast and down to the midriff before ejecting wickedly curved climbing blades and raking them back across the plates protecting Jae's toned tummy looking at Jae she said "The pattern is wonderful and he probably picked it out but you need battle damage and scars in that beskar'gam to inlay your own paint additions. Very important for blending to your surroundings Jae'rika."

Turning to cut her gaze to me she noticed Tamerlein nearly immediately. "Andorreth......where in the hell did you get that blade? And by the goddess! What have you done to my armor designs?!" Sitting I kept us on a descending course to Corellia. "Tamerlein was a gift Seras, from one of the last women to train alongside Fives, also approved by the woman who trained him at least in part. As for the armor....well You always said the point of a Verpine rifle was to be able to kill and never be in the same area while never being heard." It hadn't escaped my attention that Seras had called her Jae'rika either...little Jae the affectionate honorific. "You were trained by Celiana then? Akira was the one to overall approve you owning this blade?" She knew them then....strange Akira had known but had remained silent. Looking at Seras I said "Aye, they did." Glancing towards Jae I said "Jae how about you bring us down somewhere close to the markets and slums. I know you've got the skill to make sure nobody knows we're here."

@Jae Jordan

Jae stiffened slightly as she felt Seras' eyes on her, scanning her up and down. For a split second she let her mind wander into a bit of a panic, wondering if she'd done or said something wrong, missed a step in Andorreth's instructions, but Seras spoke soon after. She smiled at the term she'd called her by but not before her eyes widened slightly as Seras ejected her won blade and took a few slashes across her beskar armour. The action had taken her by surprise and she marvelled at how quickly Seras had moved, not even giving Jae time to flinch. She didn't know if she was terrified or amazed by it. Jae glanced down to the slashes along her armour and nodded at what Seras had explained to her.

She was still in a bit of awe as she simply watched the two of them interacting with one another and catching up in a sense, smiling at Andorreth. She was knocked out of her short gaze when he turned his attention directly to her and requested she land the vessel somewhere discreet. "You got it captain." She replied in a playful manner as she made her way back to the panel, took a seat and placed her hand atop the control column before she made her way towards Corellia. Even though it was a simple and short ride, she enjoyed being in the pilots seat once again.

Jae manoeuvred the spacecraft around Corellia and blended in with other spacecrafts that were travelling all over the place, everyone getting to the places they were needed at, not drawing any attention to the Dauntless as she did so. Jae then began making her way towards the markets and slums as Andorreth had requested. As she flew she could almost feel everything around the aircraft and knew which turns to make and where to lead the ship. Finding a suitable place to land she slowly began to cut the engines to the Dauntless, to slow down and also make less noise. She'd circled around the markets and slums once when she was blending in with the other spacecrafts earlier in order to pinpoint the best possible location for a landing. She flicked out the landing gear and as soon as the Dauntless was safely touching the ground she cut the engines completely. Before turning and smirking as she stood from her chair, "Am I good or what." She mumbled as she gently nudged Andorreth's shoulder, ever the modest pilot she was.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Hearing Jae's chipper tone of voice I waited as she brought us down I looked at Seras and said so Jae could hear "Seras, how'd you find him and where are we going?" A slight pause and then she spoke "He comes into the city every month, more specifically a pub called the Unknown. Assassins, bounty hunters and the like. One other thing Andorreth......he's set up shop in your families' old estate and made it his personal fortress. You know Corellian law, it must be seen in a public act." Sighing I said "Aye, I know Seras which means we have to bait him out and engage him through the streets. Draw attention to it, I'll need to appear as the protector which means....we'll need to force him into pulling the trigger first."

Rising from my seat as Jae landing I smirked at her gloating. Looking at Jae I said "you're very good, buckets on people. Time to go scope out the unknown, Seras you take point and we'll set up in the pub somewhere to wait and gather intel." Hitting a button I dropped the hangar bay door and headed out into.....rain. Well as omens went this could bode both very well and very badly. I chose to look at it as a mix of both and waited for Seras to emerge leading the pack.

@Jae Jordan

Jae could hear the pair of them discussing the assassin and what he'd been up to. And then what the three of them would end up having to do. As the three of them prepared to leave the spacecraft Jae gave one final look over herself making sure she was good to go and nodded to herself, before walking over to the hangar door where Andorreth was ready to leave. As the hangar bay door hit the ground she could hear the patter of rain hitting the cold metal. Jae sighed, the rain wasn't heavy, yet, but it was still enough to be noticeable.

Seras continued walking ahead of them to take point and lead the other two, heading towards the pub where they'd hopefully be able to gather some useful intel and information which would prove useful in their search for the assassin. She lagged behind a little with Andorreth, still keeping an eye of Seras so as to not lose her while they walked through the slums. Jae gently took his hand in hers, "You doin' ok?" She asked softly, simply wanting to check on him to see if he was holding up well, the mission had barely begun, but they were back on his homeworld and she wanted to make sure he was alright.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"]

Jae asking if I was alright was a nice quiet reassurance. Keying into her comms I answered "yeah just...weird being back here, that's all." The rain began intensifying and gripping her hand tightly I released it and began following Seras' steps. Looking at my HUD I winked on the nightvision filter so everything would be a little clearer, I also engaged the charge on my weapons as we moved through the slums. "Jae, night vision filter. Stick close cya'rika." As Seras led us further into the slums I perused the bounty lists and wanted criminals by the Corellian government. "Vespera, I've located the entrance to the Unknown. Be advised it's near a drain tunnel here." I received coordinates from Seras and forwarded them to Jae as we began heading towards the Unknown.

I noted my DC-15s Blasters were fully charged, my scattergun had been loaded with suppression rounds. Last thing I needed was to drop any more bodies than absolutely had to be dropped. As we'd been walking I noted there were reports for at least two bounties here on Corellia. We'd arrived at the entrance to The Unknown and Seras came around a corner just as i pushed open the door to a smoky, dimly lit, neon filled club. Dancers gyrated, the band was playing and the bartender was serving drinks. Looking at Seras and then Jae I said through the squad comms. "Fan out, now we need to gather intel. Don't drink anything you don't buy yourself, and keep comms open." I moved off into a hazy section of the pub to set up in placing surveillance bugs in discreet locations. The waiting game had begun...

@Jae Jordan

Jae nodded her understanding once she received Andorreth's answer to her question. She realised it would be strange for him to return to his home world after all this time, and she hoped he understand that she was going to be by his side the entire time should he need her. Jae began looking around the slums as they walked further into them, still keeping an eye out for Andorreth and Seras so as to not lose sight of them. She sprung back to attention when she heard Andorreth's voice in her comms and nodded, flicking her night vision on, everything become noticeably easier to see. "Don't worry, I will." She responded, taking a few steps closer to him as they continued walking. Jae loved new places and exploring but she doubted now was the best time to do so. She received the coordinates shortly afterwards.

Jae glanced up to the neon sign above the entrance that flickered on and off occasionally before Andorreth pushed open the door and the three of them walked into the club, music blasting through the dimly lit club. Jae looked towards Andorreth as he set out the instructions, nodding her understanding before giving the club a quick scan. She watched as Andorreth headed in one direction and she walked in the other. Lingering near the bar and watching the bar tender to see if he had anyone around him that may look suspicious. Jae kept her comms open for either Seras or Andorreth to contact her as she continued to move around the club, eavesdropping on a group here and a pair of people there, hoping she might get to mingle with someone who had useful information.
