DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
The Browncoat SSH Light Paddle is a utility paddle gun that allows the temporary construction of "lily' pads for crossing from one area to the next.

Strengths:
  • Light Bridge and SSH Technology: Each pellet can produce a temporary light disc of about a meter diameter, providing traditional light technology protection and density to stand upon. However, the discs only last for 5 seconds.
  • Can deflect lightsabers and blaster bolts for 5 seconds.
  • Plastiray provides increased resistance to electricity, EMP, and Ion weaponry due to its electrical resistance.
Weaknesses :
  • The discs only last for five seconds before dissipating, leaving anyone vulnerable to sustain attacks if being used as a makeshift shield.
  • This also is troublesome if someone is using them to cross from one area to the next from a high point. Stay too long upon the disc, and you may fall to your death from high altitudes.
  • A standard power cell only holds 20 pellets. If you need more than 20 pellets to cross an area to the next, you just might be out of luck.

DESCRIPTION

Browncoat arms decided to utilize existing light technology along with Solid State Hologram technology to create the Browncoat SSH Light Paddle.

A solid-state hologram was a hologram that utilized a low-level energy field to contain a high level of extremely dense photons, resulting in "solid light" that could have direct interaction with material objects. While "light Technology" consisted of technology much like a light bridge or lightbridge. It generated solid-light walkways sturdy enough to stand on and cross. Another example of such is a Light Shield, which uses the same principles as the lightsaber, and could deflect both lightsabers and blaster bolts. It was built in the shape of an arm bracer and was worn on the arm opposite the lightsaber arm. When activated, the shield instantaneously formed.

The light paddle utilizes pellets that burst out to form meter wide discs. Each pellet can produce a temporary light disc of about a meter diameter, providing traditional light technology protection and density to stand upon. However, the discs only last for five seconds. Can deflect lightsabers and blaster bolts. Plastiray provides an increased resistance to electricity, EMP, and Ion weaponry due to its electrical resistance.

These discs, however, can only last all of five seconds each before dissipating. The discs only last for five seconds before dissipating, leaving anyone vulnerable to sustain attacks if being used as a makeshift shield. This also is troublesome if someone is using them to cross from one area to the next from a high point. Stay too long upon the disc, and you may fall to your death from high altitudes. A standard powercell only holds 20 pellets. If you need more than 20 pellets to cross an area to the next, you just might be out of luck.

[member="Noire Vanya Tal"] - What level of durability, if any, do these discs have while active against various attacks? If one pops up and comes under fire or even melee attack, what sort of "health" are we talking about?

I am a bit confused by the question, let me check for understanding.

Light Shield Technology is as follows:

The light-shield of the Jedi was often used by young Jedi in training, as well as several full-fledged Jedi Knights. It used the same principles as the lightsaber, and could deflect both lightsabers and blaster bolts.

As such, since they are pellets shot, I added the following explanation in strength and weaknesses.

Also a bit like the Deathwatch Energy Shields.

The thought process is that if this is used as a "light shield", it can only linger five seconds regardless of the amount of damage, but it is only a flat disc. Not a bubble that can encase you. So one is still affected by say gas or anything like that can potentially curve around the edges.

Kinda like this but just floating in front of you. You still gotta worry about whatever else is behind you.

At the end of five seconds, it will dissipate. One cannot extend it or sustain it because the pellet would have exhausted it's "light energy" Five seconds and that is it. Kinda like a, oh poodoo impromptu shield as you run off, because if you stay under it if they are still shooting at you.. well it will suck once it disappears.

Does that make sense?

[member="Noire Vanya Tal"] - Sorry if the question confused you! I am still shaking off a long weekend at work. However, your explanation highlighted what I was trying to ask was a misunderstanding on my part, so it worked out in the end.

Thanks!
