Intent: A reward for a lucky explorer of Pax Insul, and a neat tool to keep tabs on Braith for that lucky someone.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Elders of Braith Achlys' tribe on Pax Insul
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Pax Insul
Modularity: None.
Production: Unique
Material:
  • Alchemized Durasteel
  • Alchemized Enhancement Jewel
Special Features:
  • Reverse Blood Trail: Created some ten thousand years ago around the time of a younger Braith's birth the Broken Compass was created through alchemy and a portion of the newborn Braith's blood in the exact opposite manner of a traditional blood trail. Rather than allow Braith to locate and/or track the compass, the compass instead will always point towards the witch and glow when within a somewhat close proximity - usually within fifty to one hundred meters. This function only occurs when the compass is opened, otherwise it is just like any other pendant on a chain, and does not emanate much of an aura in the force due to its small purpose.
Description:
The 'Broken Compass' is an amulet/pendant which acts much like one would expect from a broken compass - it always points towards a single point - only instead of pointing towards a random direction it instead will always lead the owner toward Braith's location due to the treatment of alchemy which causes the compass to rotate and point towards the witch at any given time. When the compass is within around fifty to one hundred meters of Braith the jewel that is inlaid within the pendant will glow bright blue. The tracking ability of this compass is essentially to the same degree as any blood trail would be, meaning hiding for Braith could quickly become an impossibility. And because the object is treated with alchemy and is made primarily of metal, it would theoretically be able to stand up to sustained lightsaber contact.
