Bridging the Gap

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
@[member="Ben Watts"]

As Ben Watts and Darron Wraith had stated, Valik was not to be allowed on the planet of Tython. With little other choice, he was sent to a small facility on it's moon Ashla. He didn't know whether Wraith, Watts, or some pencil pusher below the two had assigned him there, but he wondered what small chuckles the man or woman got for sending the Sith to the "light moon" of Tython. His Jedi 'guards' or watchers, seemed to have hopes that with meditation on the moon Valik would return to the light. While Valik found this humorous, it was also decidedly annoying. He wished the Jedi would have treated him like an prisoner, or at least an enemy, but they treated him like a hopeful. Whoever had chosen his guard had chose them well, with them being unreceptive to his prods and pokes over to the darkside.

They did not stop Valik from having his fun however. Valik had not revealed his scientific nature to the Jedi Masters, as they were more preoccupied with his allegiance in the Force, so Valik was given access to all of his equipment, and had been able to hack into a great many of the Jedi's files, all without a trace. He had managed to learn that the Jedi were going to meet the Sith on a planet named Lehon to see if the Rakata had any information on the Clockwork Threat, and while Valik doubted that it did as it would have Omni's evolution remarkably slow, it was possible, Valik had a great desire to examine and capture Rakata Technology, and Valik also bored of his Jedi company and wished to return to his roots.

Thus he spoke to one of his captors and requested they summoned Ben Watts, the Jedi who 'interrogated' him earlier. In truth, Valik had given him true and relevant information in order to direct him away from more sensitive information, such as his nature as a scientist and a creator, but what he told Master Watts was irrelevant to today's conversation. What was important is that the Jedi Master was willing to talk to Valik as an equal, and not a prisoner, if he cooperated. It sounded like a simple enough thing, but most Jedi, and Sith for that matter, were too blinded by their ideals in order to speak to the other without a blade in their hands or their tongue. Valik however, knew that every connection had it's uses, and there were a myriad of applications for a connection with a Jedi Master.

So Valik waited in his quarters for the knock of a Jedi, the beginning of negotiations, and promise of opportunity.
