Short bio:
The highlight of John's life was meeting the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Lesley Smith. In high school, John was the start athlete, which was how he met his future wife. John never really set his life goals too high; he just wanted to live his life out in normalicy, raise a family with the woman of his dreams. Thanks to a college sports scholarship, John was able to get a degree in mechanical engineering, something he would use to settle down and open his own hole-in-the-wall mechanics shop; Smitty's.

Lesley Smith
Julie-Andrews-1.jpg

Role: Mother
Face Claim: Julie Andrews.
Age: 40
Race: Near-human
Occupation: School Teacher
Force Sensitive: Yes, tested--Basic Jedi training, dropped out during padawanhood

Lesley was a pretty average girl growing up on Denon for most of her life. She tested positive for force-sensitivity during primary school, and would gain a modicum of Force training in padawanhood. She showed promise, but when work was going to move her father to Dosuun, she was faced with either being close to her family or dropping out of her training. The woman chose her family, and transfered to a high school halfway across the galaxy. There she met John Smith, the two hit it off gloriously and fell deeply in love. After high school, Lesley decided to become a school teacher, putting the modicum of her force abilities to use with calming excited children and helping them learn.

Ann Smith

Role: Younger Sister
Face Claim: Bailee Madison
Age: 17
Race: Near-human
Occupation: Student; Drug/Gunsmuggler
Force Sensitive: No, untested

Ann was born second to the Smith family. She grew up a small town girl in a loving home, with a pretty normal upbringing. However, as she entered puberty, Ann's natural good looks began to attract the boys--some of them older and less-than-good influences on her character. Ann, eager to fit in like every teenager, began to slowly compromise little by little till she began to go out with a young man named Jax, who was also a Rebel sympathizer. Jax was the head of a small, local gang, and Ann soon found herself as one of the drug mules in his little cabal. Even though it went against her conscience, at least it gave her pocket money for things she wanted...

Role: Youngest Brother

Fenn has always been one for mischief, with a playful smile and an impish look in his eyes. The boy has always enjoyed getting into trouble, but never anything serious. At a young age, Fenn aquired a pechant for the art of pranking from placing salt in the sugar shaker to putting numbing lotion in shaving cream, if he can think of it, Fenn will probably do it.

Co Business Owner of Smith and Westworld: HRD W3ST-W01RD 'Will Westworld'

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
++ Dedicated: Brent pushes himself, he always has, past the boundaries that most would.
++Hearty: Brent is fueled by his desire to make his family proud and provide for them. As such he can take blows that would cripple a man of his size and keep going or press through when most would quit. He has pretty good health (while he isn't an Olympian, he sure isn't a pleb) and as such, he can go for quite a while due to his military training.

++Acting History: Even as a child, Brent excelled at the arts, his favorite was acting. His skills were great enough in school for him to win planetary-level competitions and earn a full ride scholarship (that he never was able to use) to a university. This plays well with his skills as a deep cover agent for the FOSB.
++Mechanic's son: Raised in his dad's mechanic shop, Brent is very familiar with the way mechanics operate.
++Tactical: Your greatest weapon is your mind. Brent isn't the smartest man in the galaxy (that is to say he is not a doctor, surgeon, or anything of that level of book smarts or brilliance), however he is able to think two and three steps ahead with tactical prowess.
++Incredibly Normal: He doesn't dress flashy, there's nothing incredibly distinguished about him, and frankly, even his voice is pretty flat. The fact that Brent isn't exceptionally remarkable in any way makes him the ideal candidate to blend into most any crowd and evade detection for his sheer "plainness."
++Keen Perception: Ever since he was a child, Brent has just always had acute senses. Its not that his eyes are necessarily special, its that his optic lobes and reasoning pre-frontal lobes are larger than the average human's. He sees things like everyone else does, Brent just has the skills to put it all together. His skin is highly attuned, Brent can feel subtle shifts in the air, temperature, barometric pressure, and so on that most write off or hardly perceive. He hears the faintest alterations in sound and has a perfect ear for pitch (which makes him a skilled musician), enabling Brent to hear the tiniest alterations in noises. Its not something that can be taught, its more of an innate gift, and one that is prefect for a member of the spy community where the devil is in the details.
+/- Have a heart: Through all that he has experienced, Brent has still held on to his humanity. He hopes for people, he does not like to kill (but will do so when there is no other choice) and does not delight in harming others. If there is a way to resolve things without violence, he will do so. If there are innocent people in danger, he will risk his own life (but not those of others) to save them.
+/- Pilot of decent skills: While he is not the greatest of all pilots ever, Brent can hold his own with his ships and speeders. He is no Skywalker or Solo, but he certainly won't be the first to go in a dogfight.
+/-Hero: Brent believes in good, and the irony very well could be that he believes what he does is all for the greater good. He believes in helping others, taking risks to save lives, and the right for non combatants to live. While he isn't some crusader for justice (he has much simpler ideas for his life) if he can, Brent will stand up for what is right.
-- Just a Man: In a galaxy filled with Force users that are all but gods, Brent is just a man. He gets tired, he had limits, and so on. He sees himself not as a soldier, or an agent, but as a man trying to provide for his family.

--Regrets and PTSD: Murder, sabotage, political subterfuge, and even torture, Brent has ruined a lot of lives to get his jobs done. He doesn't enjoy what he has to do, and these things plague him in the end. Nightmares are a nightly thing. Sadly for a man in his line of work, therapy is out of the question.
--Fibromyalgia: Due in part to the constant stress he finds himself under, or partially perhaps due to some of the long term effects of combat time, Brent suffers from chronic Fibromyalgia. Sometimes it is mild, other days it can be crippling.
--Sensitivity: Brent's brain structure grants him the ability to notice things no one else does, but at the same time, it makes him incredibly sensitive to everything. Since he sees every detail, it can be hard for him to focus or hone in on details. To ease that, Brent wears sunglasses to block out the extra so he doesn't get overwhelmed.

APPEARANCE:
Face Claim: Keanu Reeves

Brent is a thinner, leaner near-human. He dresses in crisp, clean clothing that holds strongly to strait lines and a near militaristic uniform that shows his imperial upbringing and ties to the First Order. Still, most of his clothing holds a semblance of elegance through their rigidity. He is always cleanly shaven and well groomed. His voice is a baritone in sound with a soft accent betraying his "common" origins, he is crisp, clean, and always efficient.

There is nothing remarkable or extraordinary about the man. Brent is easily mistaken as just an ordinary person, who blends into the crowd as a run of the mill human male. He isn't strong, flamboyant, dressed brightly, or rich. There's nothing distinguishable about him; even his voice tends to stray along a forgetably normal, if not relaxing tone.

BIOGRAPHY:
Brent doesn't talk often of his past, not out of pain or indifference but mainly because he sees it as a very private matter. But if one could ever get him to talk......

Early years:
Brent lived a rather happy and care free life in the outer rim. His father and mother cared a great deal for Brent and his two brother and sister. As the oldest of four, Brent found himself working early on in his father's mechanic shop as an apprentice/help. Many of his fondest and most formative memories involved him handing his dad tools and assisting in the repairs of local speeders and crops.

When it came to academics, Brent was a B-average student. His social life was decent, if not totally stellar. In middle school he met his sweetheart that would last through high school and on. He showed promise in the fields of poetry, writing, and singing. Soon he was on the path to become a poet with eyes on an ivy league college with a full ride scholarship.

Formative event:
But the roads of paradise are filled with broken dreams. While John Smith working on an outdated J-Type speeder, the support prop holding it up failed. The vehicle fell on him, after 12 hours of surgery the results were bitter sweet--John Smith would live, but would forever be a cripple and need replacements for his lungs, heart, liver, and both kidneys. The family did not have the funds to afford this and insurance would certainly not cover it--let alone the current medical bills. Brent did the only thing a good son could do. He gave up on his dreams and went to find a way to support the family.

The search led him to sign on to the First Order as a Stormtrooper. The danger were great, the hours were terrible and the pay was bad, but it was what his family needed to survive. When he enlisted, the Order said that he showed a slight force aptitude, but not one worth the expense to train.

The Unlikely Hero:

After basic training, Brent found himself running a series of low-risk, mediocre paying runs as a storm trooper. Most of his work was nothing worth mentioning; simple garrison work and patrol runs through low-danger territories. The money was hardly enough to help provide adequately for his stricken father. While en route to the front lines for his first live-action combat, the FOSB recruited Brent to fill in with a high-risk drug ring infiltration. Brent just happened to be cousins with the stolen identity, and looked just like him. In the process, Brent aquired the Celestial Bishop and the droid R9-G8, "Gates" a black astromech droid who would serve as his co-pilot.

Brent would soon find himself thrown from one FOSB mission to another, and through the process, Brent's classification changed from a storm trooper, to an FOSB field agent.

But Fighting on Kaeshanna would prove to be a lot more of a fight than this field agent could handle. His sheer training as a soldier combined with his quick thinking acquired as a field agent, combined with his latent force ability alone were what kept him alive while everyone else around him died. The battle deepened Brent's connection to the Force, though his wounds would render Brent out of service for months ((The IC reasoning behind my own LOA following this for RL reasons)).

One of his first missions when he returned would be to help on the wastes of Nycteria to explore and reclaim a lost base on the frigid world that the order had lost contact with. Shortly after, he was called on to help capture and subdue the disgraced [member="Sara Lee Jones"], one of Brent's former comrades in arms that he had run missions with in some intense, deadly areas. The mission was difficult on the operative, but he managed. Following this, Brent was dispatched on Qeravert IV to help serve along the security of a mining colony establishment in an extremely lucrative planet.

During an hunting trip on Umbara, Brent ran into the Sith Ra'a'mah, who would change his life. The woman saw in him the Force, like others had. But instead of just passing him by or seeing him as a danger worth squashing, she instead took it upon herself to train him.

I love the amount of detail you went into with your character's personal life, especially with the family. People usually just don't do that. Our RPs should be interesting, since your character is FO and mine is TKO.
