Just putting this up as an OOC for the events happening in this OS vs RA Skirmish.

Please keep it civil and let's try our best to work with other writers.

I'd like to kindly request that RA writers give us a reasonable amount of time for the OS to post our responses.

The Skirmish on Csilla moved much too fast for some of our writers to feel as if they had time to respond.

This goes for OS members too, of course.

The reason why I advocate no OOC thread because 9/10 they go south and ruin a thread. Anyone joins them who have nothing to do with the thread and they start arguing with people over obscure things.

So with that being said [member="Sage Bane"] I appreciate your concern but I'm going continue to ask of the Rebel alliance that they do not post to these threads. If anyone wishes to communicate with any opposition just PM them or use Skype. I'm of a firm opinion that these threads hurt more than help.

It is here for the convenience of any writers who wish to do so.

I'm of the firm opinion that we should be able to be civil with each other and be transparent as well. This is an online forum after all. We should be able to have this stuff out in the open.

I can definitely see where you're coming from [member="Oddball"], absolutely. OOC threads can often get out of hand.

However, things can just as quickly go south if players have no easy avenue in which to communicate with each other. Some people choose not to use Skype, and as we all know PM's can be a pain in the butt in terms of speed and reliability. We'll all get confused, feelings will get hurt because someone didn't know about a decision, etc.

I'm sure we can keep things fun - I for one am looking forward to this thread.

No worries! Everyone has to start somewhere.

OOC stands for "Out Of Character"

We make these threads to make sure people can ask questions or ask for clarification about the events in the thread. Sometimes it's not always clear to writers who to ask.

They're also helpful for keeping OOC comments and questions out of the IC thread itself.

So the Rebel Alliance has been talking and we have been enjoying these threads with you guys so much we want to top it off with a finale to this great little arc that we've had going. Starting from Csilla and the attack on it the Rebels have stolen Sith IFF tags, 2 fighters, and a shuttle. Nothing really major. In return Oddball was captured and is now being tortured for information. Now here's where we are now, and here's where we'd like things to go.

As the Sith work Oddball over for information he eventually cracks and gives up the information of the secret base on Halm, once this has been done the Rebels break him out at the last second and get him to safety. However as the rebels flee from coruscant their communication arrays are disabled and they can't get warning to Halm in time.

A One Sith fleet arrives just as the Rebels return to warn them. This is our finale. The outnumbered and out gunned Rebel fleet must hold out as long as they can as the base evacuates. This makes for good ship to ship combat and boarding tactics. Maybe the rebels don't evacuate everyone in time maybe they do, but the Sith end up just glassing the base and killing dozens to hundreds of rebels. This continuing the struggle between the Rebel Alliance and the One Sith.

It sounds like perhaps a faction campaign thread instead of an open skirmish would have better suited your story needs, but here we are. It is an open surprise Skirmish where neither side really gets to claim control over the results.

Let's let the plot play out IC and not OOC.
