- Blaster-Begone: Simmersilk was designed specifically to repel, reflect, and in generally protect the wearer from blaster fire. There is a charge-neutralizing field that covers the external threading that makes up the Simmersilk, along with the metallic overlay that coats most of the threads which constitute it. However, this protection is not perfected and there are chances for the Simmersilk itself to fail to reflect blaster bolts, which would mean a kinetic discharge - the material itself still protecting from the majority of the blaster bolt itself due to its alchemical nature and molecular structuring. This dress in particular, however, has largely exposed areas - such as the arms, neck, and cleavage, as well as being made much thinner than the protective clothing Simmersilk is generally found in when replacing armorweave.
- Minor Blood Trail: While not as fully implemented as in most of Braith's creations - due to the amount of Simmersilk she makes herself - there is a blood trail placed on the Simmersilk that is caused naturally due to the inclusion of her own blood in a similar manner of a traditional blood trail, which allows her to locate/see the material with the force, though she can't track it as efficiently - or in some cases, at all - as one would with an actual and intentional blood trail.
Designed to be worn specifically by Braith - utilizing materials which she both created and invented - the simmersilk gown provides some limited protection from blaster rounds - clearly more limited than not, seeing as how a large portion of her upper body remains exposed to harm. Woven more thinly than one would generally wear protective clothing - as it is a formal dress, not something meant to be worn into a fight - the dress itself provides less effective defense against blasters than most simmersilk clothing generally would provide, even with its limited coverage due to the design. The clothing is roughly two-to-three times as heavy as a normal silk gown would generally be, due to the application of alchemy and the materials which made up the simmersilk.
