Intent: A downscaled version of another Balmorran weapon for individual use.

Primary Source: BPT-074 Balmorran Plasma Thrower - Some of the items are verbatim because it's almost the same sub, but I've scaled it down proportionately. I certify that I have permission to use those words.

  • Functionally the same as a Flamethrower, the Plasmathrower deceptively expels large bursts of plasma that burn just like fire.
  • Plasma, in a state between liquid and gas, tends to remain on things it touches. Therefore, a person or object that is struck will burn continuously until the plasma is either removed or quelled.
  • Plasma has an ionic charge, therefore it can tamper with or short electronics.

Can be armor mounted: Unlike it's larger version, this weapon can be fitted to armor or used independently, at the user's discretion.

Plasma: It burns, it stays burning, it's incredibly nasty stuff. Because of its potentially relative permanence, this insidious weapon is highly effective against armor and infantry, as well as artillery.

Ionic: The plasma has a chance of shorting out electronics, or tampering with their functionality.

Short range: In order to assure maximum damage output, and to maintain efficiency of the Plasma, the range for the thrower is severely limited. Within 3.5 meters

Limited dosage: Plasma is handled in small amounts, because too much of it even in containment could inhibit functionality for other systems in an integrated unit. This is doubly true for the smaller version of the BPT, which is severely limited by its scaled down size.

Friendly fire: Make sure none of your friends are in the line of fire. It's very indiscriminate.

"In tandem with our announcement of the Balmorran Plasma Thrower, we have created a smaller version to be utilized by infantry. Because of its nature, it's more limited in use and the run is much smaller, but it's no less deadly!

Put your bids in now boys, they're gonna go fast."

Unfortunately, three ratings over balance here.

As stated here, you will need to add a degree of wiggle room so that people can call their own damage. E.g. 'Therefore, a person or object could conceivably burn continuously...', 'Because of its potentially relative permanence...', etc.
