She was confused, entirely, all the way up until he made the shot. Her eyes widened, and she raised flattening hands as if to suggest they re-think this, but it was too late. This, whatever this was, was happening. She had no room to think, everything she had just concluded needed to be tossed aside. There couldn't be any room for scheming here, the timer had run its course, and now it was dinging. Time to move. She flashed a wildly aggressive glare at Kail just before the man took hold of her hair and began playing the part, speaking words which sounded cold and in-character. For some reason it sobered her, chilling down to the bone. Her yelp of pain and fear was a genuine one, realizing just how far Kail was willing to go with this. Her face remained in the cringed formation, glassy eyes beginning to release tears. Her whole weight trembled and slumped under his command, stumbling forward as Kail moved her like a horribly ungraceful puppet show. Her shaking submission looked forced, as if she had been previously threatened into not speaking a word. The loud silence, where behind closed lips muffled sounds lingered. Further diluted by a tongue glued to the roof of her mouth. Her clothes still looked as though they had been through a bombing, rips along dress's lining from where it had been... forcibly removed...

The audience gasped.

Kail was like a wild man, dealing with the civilians in a manner he had not expected. Not out of him, she had been counting him as dead weight. Crippling herself based on expectations she had no idea about. Who knew, he could bluff. Better yet, this was acting. She was already smiling when Kail whispered in coarse tones, requiring direction. She didn't speak, she knew better than that. Any cameras, if there were any, would pick that up as them communicating. It would be a small crumb along the trail typical justice, eventually leading to her identity's defeat. And soon thereafter her own, surely. Instead, she tripped over to her left side, yanking him heavily in the direction of the next turn. Crying with the pain of tripping, only to be held by Kail's grip on her hair, she lowered her head in pain and only then spoke with a voice almost too quick to hear.

"Left, left, door. Access code 23, 5, 14, 9, 1."

The directions to the hangar bay of private access, only a few tenants had restricted access. It was there they'd find the Nubian cruiser, one of her collection, and would thus be provided with far more luxurious comfort. Xenia continued to walk, as if frightened to death by the man and more than obeying whatever Kail's will should be. The halls and hangar would be made to look fancy, and the large, sleek chrome of the Nubian would be a welcomed sight in comparison to her Fanblade; she'd have to leave that here for the moment, no choice, and she'd be back for it.

Looping his gun arm around Xenia, lifting her back to her wobbly legs and keeping it over her chest to hold her on him, Kail stepped back - left - and followed to go left again.

He elbowed a Gran out of the way, even offering an apology. He was a mercenary, but if he was going to get attention, may as well be one with manners. Kail turned his head to see a large white door which must be the one. He came to the keypad and crouched behind Xenia.

"Hold on...," he whispered.

23, 5, 14, 9, 1

A flash of green from red and the door began to part quickly. He smiled and looked through to see a rather large hangar bay with three small one man ships and one sleek silver ship taking up the space - a Nubian. A Naboo royal ship. With a slight roll of his eyes, he nodded and pulled Xenia in behind him, sticking his gun arm out to make sure nobody was watching as the doors closed a moment after.

"Try anything and I'll snap your neck!"

He dropped his hand to her wrist and pulled her violently across the hangar, pushing her forward to the Nubian. Kail didn't know what observational security the hangar bays had, so just continued the charade. However a small pit was opening in his stomach - had had taken a young girl hostage in the depths of the city and now didn't know how either were going to explain it.

Overall, it had been respectable. Kail managed to remember the numbers, and toss her aside to jam them in when he got to the coded hangar door. It sprung open as it should, and yes, there it was. The chrome lining of the impressive ship seemed to make things feel better. And the charade continued, just as it should, all the way until they reached the ship's rounded hull. Pulling behind the protective cover of one of the smaller vessels, Xenia placed her hands over her mouth as if to silence her partner. With a small voice, she whispered "it's a fingerprint system lock," but she didn't have to say anything more. She was whisked into place by the ship's entrance, and 'made' into imputing her information. The hatch slid open, and they quickly boarded.

Falling on board, the hatch closing behind them, Xenia fell forward, finally released from the oppressive grip. But it wasn't even a second of silence before she swung around and flung a powerful voice in Kail's direction. "And just what the hell was that, Kail?! There goes this-- us, Kail, how can I be seen with you after this!?" She pointed to the space between the two of them as she spoke, though, for some reason she didn't sound mad. At all, instead there was some other emotion there. Adrenaline, and something else more raw. Her eyes, though she had made them so from before's act, were yet still glassy and red. "What were you thinking...?" With each commanding jab she took, she closed the distance between them until finally she was within reaching distance. Finally. That feeling in her gut had haunted her, and moved her like a zombie across the open ground. Told her to pounce, and she did, thrusting Kail hard against the back wall and following him so as to kiss him when he landed. Something spirited, and passionate, despite their priorities. Get, off, world, now. Fly anywhere, normal logic screamed at her, but that feeling in her body. She couldn't help it, the high of risk and danger animating her into a being of desire.

If they didn't leave, security would not let them, their window was small...

The small grin of satisfaction Kail beamed when they ran up the ship's ramp - and how NICE was this Nubian compared to the Fanblade, or any other ship he'd been on? - quickly faded into a look of contempt at the spoilt little rich kid before him, lashing out with her words yet again.

He looked at her, keeping his stance casual as he slid the SSX back into his thigh holster, and crossed his arms as she bombarded him with words. Not angry words, but - irritation and...disbelief? He knew the risks and he had just put himself in danger to get her out of a sticky situation and now probably earnt his face free air-time on the Holo-net across all sectors for taking a peace ambassador at gunpoint.

Stupid move, Kail....but yes, she was so worth it!

Kail rubbed his tongue along his metal plate and rubbed his stubble, listening and watching her step forward - jabbing, trembling, resisting.

Spoke to soon, because her face turned into that of a wild Nexu going for the kill of it's meal. Xenia pushed him back with her momentum, and he was slightly surprised at her strength. Hitting the rear wall of the loading hold, Kail didn't have time to retaliate before her warm lips were on his, tongue pushing through to find his. He reciprocated, arms out wide as he hungrily kissed her, and then he was on her, lifting her body up with a strong grip as her legs automatically wrapped around his hips. Firm hands held her curves through the dirty white dress.

Certainly her lucky white dress.

In the second he opened his eyes to move her back to stable ground, Kail shot a look through the hall towards the cockpit and noticed the illuminated flashing of red lights painting the front half of her ship. They had to move, otherwise this would be his final taste of the girl he lo-

"Xe..Xenia...mm...look, look..."

He pulled his head back and nodded forward, her head turning as she fought for breath. Silent alarms were now activated and they had minutes to get away from Bespin. They both released each other at the same time and moved forward to the cockpit.

Deciding to seat himself in the co-pilot chair, Kail swung around and looked over to Xenia and smiled.

"Do you ever get the feeling we've done this one too many times?"

She liked his seating choice. She had eyed him in his retreat all of the way from her walled position before, too focused on him, Kail, the way he moved and darted into his spot. She had seen that slight moment of hesitation before he chose the co-pilot's seat, and it had ignited the flame of a smile which remained there until she trickled in behind him and threw herself into her rightful place. The head of her ship, admittedly a ship she had not yet given much time to. Unlike the Fanblade, it was highly alike to most others sold in mass production on Naboo. Her fingers slapped levers, but she was moving as if she were confident in their abilities. When they were together, what could go wro-- well, something like that.

"I blame you."
