Description: The Primeval are mothballing old designs in favour of new ones and this warship is the first of many. The Boar-class Assault Cruiser is intended to replace the aging Carnage-class heavy frigate; although larger, the Boar-class sports a heavier assault armament but at the sacrifice of no hangar. Consistent with most Primeval warships, the Boar-class sports an advanced shield generator but lacks in any major additions elsewhere; this is partially due to ignorance in design and the necessity for higher production counts in order to meet deployment needs.
In actuality, the Boar was never intended to be and initially began life as an unarmoured supply ship until the military elite on Bastion decided its wide bow made the hull better suited to assault warship capabilities. Impressed with the Carnage-class Heavy Frigates during the Battle of Helska, The Primeval Fleet sought to improve on those successes in a larger version of the vessel. Thus the Boar-class' hull was chosen as the base for such a vessel. An additional feature are the twin ion cannons which are scaled down versions from the larger main gun of the Mendacity-class corvette.
