Blame It On The Alcohol

Location: Golbah City, Geonosis.

Akabane rested his feet on a familiar plateau, bottom on the ground and legs crossed as he entered a meditative state. Meditation wasn't something he did often as he'd only been taught how to do it recently, but he thought this was the perfect place for it. This place, this particular plateau allowed him to feel comfortable while closing his eyes, thanks to the CIS' presence on the planet and past experiences. Here, he spent most of his time relaxing when he first joined the Confederacy. Akabane also received a lightsaber after striking Master Metus' hand at this location during a practice duel. Though he didn't ever find out if his master was truly fooled by the attack. It was a wonderful trick either way, the combination of a force push and wind shaping.

While Akabane knew how to meditate he wasn't very good at it. Miss Ismet, the nice Jedi who gave him a lesson on it, found this out when he became angry in the middle of their telepathic communication and almost broke the link. He was able to calm himself down a little but Jairdain's support really helped out. Akabane was all alone now and he tended to get frustrated quickly, showing it through his actions. Instead of wasting energy destroying the soil, he dropped down from plateau's top and got into his ship. Akabane headed for the Confederacy's capital to get a drink.

Golbah City, a grand creation of the CIS with many things to offer and over half of them unbeknownst to Akabane. Usually he only had two reasons for going into the city, spending a night in his apartment or any kind of entertainment. Today, he was there to get a drink... or lots of drinks. If someone asked about his drinking problem he'd be honest. He knew it was an issue but a drunk Akabane amused most people. After landing he walked directly to the nearest cantina. As soon as he got inside, Akabane ordered and downed two shots of vodka. I'll regret doing that later..

Golbah City.

It wasn't her first time visiting the capital of the Confederacy, recalling the several dozen times before that she'd gone to visit her cousin and discuss the state of the galaxy. But if she were to be asked if she'd visited the cantina located in the capital, she'd have told you that there was a first time for everything. Even if that something was getting drunk on corellian ale and high grade wine; something the young brunette wasn't overly prone to do.

She was thankful that Dawaara was not like Skiss, leaving her to do what she liked. He was a stoic guardian, aged and capable, but he was far from the paranoid chittering and clicking mess that amounted to the verpine that her cousin kept in her company. As such, when she had told him she was going to be stepping out for a night on the town, there was little but a rumble and low whine from the elder wookiee. If she was going to get drunk and relax, she was better off doing it on her own.

Dawaara was a sour drunk.

Sure to sit by herself, ordering yet another round of corellian ale, the young brunette allowed her senses to be her guide as she appraised the crowds. The pirates, the soldiers and the droids were all something she expected; each one reading the same as they always had. It was the Geonosians that she remained unsure of. Language, theirs included, was never a problem for a woman who dealt with Hutts.

It was their anatomy.

Another one, making that three shots total so far. Yep, he'd really regret this in the morning if not already. A stupid person adding more stupid to them self through intoxication... not a good idea, but he did it anyways. One, because he enjoyed living recklessly and two, he'd possibly remember what he did the day before. Recalling what drunk Akabane did would be both hilarious and scary. A lot of things could happen in that situation. Though imagining those things were more scary than funny from from his perspective, since he was the one drinking. Akabane was being very bold by taking that many shots in such a short time even while realizing this.

Akabane requested a glass of whiskey, any kind, he wasn't picky when it came to liquor. He decided it was time to stop taking shots and go sit down with a glass before the fun began. Walking would be next to impossible with the whiskey adding to the mix in a few minutes. Scanning the room for a seat, a woman all by herself caught his eyes. He formed a grin and moved in her direction. Why the grin? A pretty woman was in the bar all alone and drinking a good amount of booze. Who would pass this opportunity up? As he got closer, he could see her facial features better. Oh.. how lovely, he stopped walking, glass in hand. Akabane used his free hand to point at the seat across from the young woman. "May I sit?" he asked, smiling.

Taking notice of the approaching man was not at all difficult. His presence was obvious, his angle in the Force very pronounced, but it was his intentions and thoughts that came foggy to the young woman. It was simple enough said that one of the reasons she disliked drinking on occasion was it's effect on her cognitive senses. She, like every other member of her family, was fond of Corellian Ale and even the most experienced knew what effect it could have on the body and the mind.

Only when he indicated the seat beside her did she take notice of his close proximity. Addled mind turned her to acknowledge his presence, blue eyes scanning up his body until they met his. Well he certainly wasn't hard on the eyes, that much was certain; though it hardly mattered. Or so that was how she justified her carnal response. Padding her finger against the rim of her glass as she pushed it away to deny herself another drink, she welcomed the new presence a bit too readily.

"I have the feeling you'd help yourself even if I said no," she amused herself with the thought as she uttered it. "So help yourself."

Akabane's free hand moved to the left side of his head, it started to throb with pain. At first he didn't know what brought the pain on, but then his memories aided him in finding that out. Aevan... he remembered that she asked him the same question in the past. He consumed some more alcohol in a desperate attempt to relieve the pain. Ah, the burn feels great, the burning sensation took his mind off of that misery inducing memory, and so did his new acquaintance's voice.

When the permission was given he sat down beside her and set his glass down on the table, body slightly turned her way to keep an eye on the woman. Akabane's eyes weren't on her because he was worried about what she might do, he simply enjoyed the view. The grin turned into a smile, maybe the alcohol was getting to him. Remembering her comment, he sighed. Do I appear that way? her assumption was wrong, this alcoholic had good manners or he tried to at least. "I am not that kind of man. Thankfully, my father raised me better. If my presence is unwanted I will leave without causing any trouble." he talked in a friendly tone.

Being the one to cause a woman's displeasure hurt Akabane's confidence. That was why he didn't care to remove himself from the equation if this was the same. She didn't seem to mind though so he got comfy in his new seat and prepared a question. "A pretty woman in this place all by herself? You must've either scared all the men away or they are just a moronic bunch." he always went for a compliment first. Akabane was most skilled at being a flatterer, or that's how he saw it. "Call me Akabane. Care to share your name, love?" he sipped on some more of his drink while waiting for an answer.
