Blade on Blade [HK]

HK-36

@[member="Qae Shena"]

HK ran at his opponent, his photoreceptors set on target as his robe fell down to the ground before he ran at the Nautolan. The droid jumped, flying at Qae in a low arc above the ground, doing a horizontal spin in the air, HK began with a powerful slash aimed at Qae's chest, nothing that could not be blocked, but there was also a low kick aimed at Qae's knees that accompanied the attack.

If the kick missed, droid expected for the slash to either miss or be blocked, it was an obvious attack, droid changed the direction of the kick, sweeping for the other leg as his whole body quickly turned, sending another lightsaber slash at Qae that went from his thigh towards the opposite shoulder.

Super Shaper Puppy!
Well this was an awkward looking attack. To make this kind of thing work required a certain amount of obvious telegraphing; flying through the air and kicking was always super-obvious. Part of needing to generate enough momentum for it was making big movements. So, three rapid steps back with his saber still in guard was perfect enough for it, for the dorid had to land eventually and one did not do a double corkscrew through the air without some very awkward landings.

Which was the perfect time to step in. A quick shuffle step forward, leading with his left leg as his already-forward leg, let him draw his blade to his left side slightly in order to parry the second strike, drain its momentum and enact a powerful horizontal swing from the droid's right side, twisting his body into it, using the slash's momentum to carry his saber over his head and perform a diagonal slash from the droid's right shoulder down.
