The Covenant of the Black Rose conducts alot of their business away from the watchful eyes of the galaxy. Secrecy is more than just a word to them, it's a lifestyle. Despite having a standing Army and Navy, they needed a unit to work under the radar.​

The unit is a Black-Ops unit that conducts several missions such as espionage, corporate sabotage, and assassinations. They also act as advanced scouts, fancy term for hidden bodyguards, in protection of the Grand Lady or any member of the Black Rose Council when they are visiting other planets.​

In times of war, they act like a special forces unit that strike at the enemy from the shadows rather than the battlefield itself.​
