SPECIAL FEATURES

• Coated Blade: The blade is coated with a liquidized form of cortosis, this allows the blade to repel and dissipate the energy from blaster weapons.
• Miniature Energy Web Generator: Hidden inside the handle is a miniaturized version of an energy web generator. This unit allows for the production of lightning-like energy that arcs across the blade, giving the blade the ability to disable all forms of electrical based devices such as but not limited to weapons and armor much like an ion cannon or blaster. It can shock and burn exposed flesh in the way Force Lightning does. The unit can be activated and deactivated by a small button on the handle of the blade.

STRENGTHS

• Lightsaber Resistant: With the blade constructed from songsteel, and with the coating of cortosis on the blade; it can go toe-to-toe with lightsabers, briefly shorting out the plasma-based weapon.
• Sharp Blade: The blade is refined to a very sharp edge, capable of slicing and cutting through most materials.
• Swift Slashes: The sword is extremely light, allowing for it strike swiftly and efficiently; utilizing quick slashes and strikes quicker than most melee style weapons.

WEAKNESSES

• Below Average Blaster Deflection: Even with the liquid coating of cortosis, it can only deflect and dissipate blaster energy for a short time before the coating itself dissolves. Subsequently, the blade would need to be recoated.
• Non-Concealable: The weapon, unlike small blasters and small melee weapons, cannot be concealed. It is attached to a sheath which in turn is attached to a waist belt. This can cause problems and issues where weapons are forbidden on planets.
• Nullification / Suppression: Certain Force abilities and technological devices can possibly disrupt the energy web generator.

DESCRIPTION

Not fond of the traditional lightsaber, and not sold on most melee style swords, Sahi decided to create her own lightsaber. Using a nameless blacksmith on Nal Hutta for guidance and aid, she went to work constructed her katana style sword. She selected songsteel for the blade for its lightweight accolade and its ability to handle the plasma energy from lightsabers, changing the color of the blade to black.

Cortosis, melted down into a liquid form was coated all over the blade, to handle pesky energy ranged weapons, deflecting and dissipating the energy. The handle and guard were fabricated from dallorian alloy; mainly for its ability to withstand extreme heat, but mainly because she enjoyed the feel of the alloy in her hands. The blade suits her well in life and in her profession.
