Black Bha'lir Primer Draft

-Insert Flashy Black Bha'lir Graphic-
Introduction
Even the most noble of societies has a criminal element. The CIS is no different. What sets The Black Bha'lir apart is that the conduct in which they employ their trade mimics the ideology of those who place them outside the law.
We are a society in our own right, unified by our desire for profit, governed by our code, and the idea of equality and independance for all beings at the forefront of our thoughts. Smuggler, pirate, and scoundrels alike are all welcomed with us.
-Super Neato Break-
Overview

The Black Bha'lir is a smuggling syndicate primarily operating within and at the leisure of the CIS. Based on Socorro, it's primary criminal activities are the manufactoring, storage, transport, and distribution of illegal contraband through out the galaxy.

Piracy, Gun Running, Extortion, Credit Laundering, Gambling, are also means by which Black Bha'lir members make profit.

The society supports itself with member dues, contributions, returns on legal investments, and large scale operations. Staying under the radar, the Black Bha'lir give back to the planets who house them and the CIS by both monetary and....other means.

Membership & Benefits

Membership

Membership is voluntary. Adherence to the Smugglers Code is not. Be Ye Warned. Members are encouraged to 'influence' other undesirables to follow our example and the principles we've set.

Ethos of the Black Bha'lir
1. Never Profit From the Weakness of Others
Consider the implications. Action against an entity that would cause harm to the Society in any form is to be forsworn.
2. Honor the Vyvya
Selflessness, charity, give back to the Bha'lir and society in whole. This is the oath you've taken. Uphold our reputation and protect our own.
3. Prepare the Way of Retribution
Should member dishonor or betray the Society, the Rite of Retribution decrees a Bha'lir must be prepared to take the life of a former friend, family, and ally.
4. Respect the right of aa'kua
This edict, and this edict alone supercedes all ethical ethos in the galaxy. No matter the race, the occupation, or standing, respect the individual and the individuals space.
The Bloodied Bha'lir, they who seek out and enact the Rites of Retribution on they who violate this ethos are held in the highest esteem.

Pveric'ell or To Do Penance, is a rite given at the discretion of the Tribunal for minor infractions. A temporary exile is enforced until crisis or issue is averted.

The Society

The Tribunal

Elected by the Society via silent ballot, three Bha'lir are given the power to convene and make decisions on the Bha'lir entirely as well settle disputes between individuals themselves and outside rivals.

Titles

Apprentice - The newest members, still inexperienced in the Bha'lir ethos. Usually first mates.

Pilot - Few apprentices reach this point. It requires both skill and business acumen. And a ship.

Prince - These are the most renown of the Black Bha'lir, their deeds legendary in all the seedy cantinas of the galaxy. These are the Captains and Crime Lords that ensure the Bha'lir is both feared and respected. No, there is no feminine variation.

Master Smuggler - The Jabba's and Calrissians of the society. Supplies, ships, Info, nothing is out of their reach. The most influential of Bha'lir.

Honorary

Old Guard - The dead and infirm of society, past their prime but honored still.

Mentor - Those who educate and ensure the future of the societies ethos.
