Always Watching, Sometimes Canon
In a quiet cantina, in a quiet town, on the quiet planet of Kayri III, a droid is waiting. It sits at the table quietly, ignored by waitress and proprietor, drinkers and families at other tables, humans and humanoids and nonhumans all alike. It has been sitting there for the last half-hour without moving, the only indicator that it is even active the slight whirring from its massive humanoid chassis, the faint flickers of light across its holographic dome. If the droid were organic, its sheer size and mismatch to the table at which it sits would result in some discomfort, but it is calm in the way only beings incapable of discomfort can be calm. It sits placidly, almost as if its surroundings barely matter at all.

And indeed they do not, to a certain extent. This cantina, this town, this quiet little planet on the borders of neutral space, are all incidental. The droid is there to meet a man, and it is on this man and his history that the droid has given its absolute focus. By the time he arrives, the droid will know everything on the Holonet that can be known about both this man, and the deal he will be arriving to make.

It is another benefit of being such a being, being so thorough. It is why droids can be trusted to carry out deals of such weight as this. And this deal does have weight--terrible weight, should it go badly, for so many.

That is why the deal will be concluded in a quiet cantina, in a quiet town, on a quiet planet: to ensure that the deal's conclusion follows suit.

On the holo net there was information that Taji was 17 years of age. He was an up and coming inventor who had produced a wide range of scientific innovations including cloning, fear toxin, and many other innovations. Taji was also an ex vigilante who had worked on the world of Denon and tried to protect the public from Corpos there. He'd developed many creative weapons and technologies. He was armed just in case the situation should be problematic when he arrived. Two canisters of Horror, Darlene, and several other inventions were on his person.

The droid's attention shifted as the boy made his way into the cantina. He certainly looked his age, but she had learned very easily over the years that age was no limit on danger. "The Voice of Abbaji," she said in a smooth, mellow voice, "Wishes me as his representative to thank you for accepting this meeting. I hope the trip was not too difficult for you."
She gestured to the seat on the opposite side of the table. "If you wish to eat while we discuss our business, I can call over a hostess for you. This location is highly regarded by the locals."

"Yes, I would like to eat something while we have our conversation." He stated, as he looked at her for a moment. While he was tense and on guard the smooth and mellow voice lowered his worries to a degree though he wasn't inclined to let his guard down entirely. Just in case of trouble, he was armed with two of the hand guns and a hard light blade should he actually need to employ one. One of his newer inventions was also on his person should he need to employ it as well. "So what is it that the Voice of Abbaji wishes to talk to me about?" He asked, as he looked at her for a moment.
