ADVANCED SYSTEMS

• Laminanium Coating - The self-correcting metal coats most of the hull of the Bildog's Beard, both for the practical effect of making the ship more durable and require a little bit less maintenance, but for the symbolic purpose of emulating the animal the Captain is often hunting for sport.

Strengths:

• Predator like Prey - The Bildog's Beard isn't the most impressive ship to exist, likely hundreds of years old and eroded by time, but whenever the shields fail it, it can remain somewhat hopeful it will survive relatively unscathed, as its durable armor repairs itself over time much like the way the Bildog regenerates its edible tissues. It is also capable of submerging under the waves.
• Predator like Prey II - Although the ship's crew hunts animals after its own namesake, they also make a habit of hunting Purrgil, and like the Purrgil the ship is hyperspace capable and very fast to catch them wherever they go.

Weaknesses:

• Ancient - The Bildog's Beard is an ancient model of ship, likely not intended to be flown in this day and age. Yet it flies anyway, but as a result it can sometimes become expensive in those rare instances where something breaks, it becomes very difficult to repair or replace. Often times, this leads to improvised "improvements" which may not be improved or functional at all. It's fuel efficiency is terrible too.

The Multi-environment Space Boat was designed to operate in all environments, and the Bildog's Beard is one of them. It was found ancient and decrepit, but after a number of repairs, reworking its internals, and finding the capital to put down Laminanium coating on its hull, it became a bit more than that.
