The Bha'lir Jacket is made of Gundark Leather, woven with Phrik to protect it against plasma and lightsaber attacks. It's light weight, and flexible. It holds little protection against the elements, and EMP/ION weaponry. It has a low amount of protection against kinetic weaponry or attacks. It was created for use by The Black Bha'lir to provide protection to their torso. It's not made to be indestructible, constant blaster fire will definitely destroy it, but it is powerful enough to block lightsaber strikes. One downside is that it only protects the wearer's torso, nowhere else.
