Between Rivals

She noticed him cutting the flora beneath them. Then he began to try and taunt her. She looked at him with a calmness in her face. She wasn't going to let him get her all flustered, and enraged. Then she would be distracted by her emotions. Holding true to the Jedi of old, she wouldn't allow that. She remained stationary as he began to backup. She tilted her head up slowly, when he pointed his lightsaber at her. Utilizing the Force Form Force Potency, she was beginning to strengthen her force based attacks, making them more stronger than they were usually. She opened up her arms, and began to generate a a white sphere of compressed air above her head. After she felt it was ready, she launched her force sphere in his direction. The air around it started to kick up as it closed in the distance.

He formed the bubble of protection around him when he felt the surge of the Force from her. When the ball of fire came towards him, the blue light from the sphere formed around his whole body, and he tensed himself just as the attack was seemingly split in half across the front of the protection bubble.

He smiled to himself, and started to send the bubble of protection towards her. It was in no means an attack, it was more of a means to repel her attacks. And when it moved closer to her, it started to move around her and try to encompass her itself. It wasn't a dangerous thing, she could still breathe of course, it was more or less to be used so that when she delivered force based attacks, they would simply be deflected right back at her.

He doubted that she would fall for that and so he decided it was time to begin building up the Force and waited for her next attack.

She launched herself into the air using the force, jumping over his protection bubble. Landing in a crouched position on the ground with her right leg bent, and her left straight, and out to her side. Her lightsaber held tightly in her right hand. She slowly stood up, and presumed the Niman low guard stance once more. After a moment, of standing there watching him, she decided to take some steps back. He was standing there, she assumed he had an strategy, she didn't want to launch herself at him. She knew he wouldn't be caught so easily in a mere force pull. She awaited his attack. She was still taking steps back, small, slow steps.

He as well backed up away from the Jedi Knight until he had reached the edge of the clearing. The way he had entered, and underneath his mask, he grinned evilly. "Say goodbye to this planet." He said with a smile and he disignited the lightsaber in his hand, still in his hand and he backed away into what Felucia called her forests. He would destroy every single village, city, town and the like that he could find before the Jedi Knight could catch up to him, he would have to bait her into chasing him.

He was force speeding through the forest and he figured the Knight would be following him. For it was her duty to stop him.

Seeing that he took off towards into the forest was rather surprising yes, but what could be his purpose? To possibly bait her maybe? There was nothing in the direction he was heading, the villages were hidden, and in the opposite direction. Surely he didn't want to head to the rancor Graveyards. Hmm, she ran behind him. She couldn't just let a dark sider roam free, and though she was already behind, her fellow tribesmen would try their best to halt his advance. She unlighted her saber as well, and resorted to her native Togrutan ways, she was now going to hunt him down. She took to the trees above, naturally speeding up her movements aided by her montrals.

He continued on in the direction he was going. With his force presence expanding out and sensing in the area around him, he made sure he avoided as much encounters with the tribes upon Felucia. They were quite aggravating when he did meet up with them.

At one point he stopped to engage another group that tried to attack him. They were just throwing themselves at him, they definitely knew they were going to die before they killed him. But it only enraged him even further why there was a loud grating sound when he barely avoided a hefty strike and his robes were torn to reveal a strike that had nearly torn him open. There was in fact barely any more left in that spot, and so in response, he force blasted the being through the trees and positioned his black robes to cover the 'scratch.'

He couldn't let her know of it.

She followed the direction running, and jumping from translucent pedal to translucent pedal. Coming to a large opening in the tree line she hopped through, and landed on the the jungle floor. She noticed the bodies of some of the tribesmen, some seemingly uninjured. She took off behind him once more. Where was he going. Using the force to call vines from above they came down just ahead of her, and she jumped gripping it and swing ping forward to gain more ground. Although she was right behind him, it definetly allowed her to close in some distance, he was just meters ahead of here, atleast in her line of sight now.

He sensed her presence drawing closer and he continued to run forwards before he force leapt into the air, and turning around while he was in the air, he threw his hand out to her and sent a force push towards her.

It wasn't strong enough to actually harm her, but it was just meant to knock her off of the vines so that they could resume the combat in the tree line, where neither of them would have a clearly defined advantage. "I hadn't noticed you there!" He called out once it left his hand, only moments ago.

Once she landed she was caught unawares by his force push. She slid back and lost her footing. All that ground she tried to gain was for nothing. After catching her balance she ran once more after him. Then he relayed a comment to her, she stopped in front of him, some metered away, and stood firmly in place. She widened her eyes, "How can one kill me if they run from the battle?" She asked, only responding to his comment. It was more of a rhetorical question than anything. Hopefully he hadn't prepared to run anymore, that would only make this battle drag on and on. With his presence in the force corrupting things, she couldn't allow her promise to the natives to be broke.

When he landed he rolled and then landed in a crouching position with his lightsaber hilt in his hand. He ignited the blade and dashed towards her, with the aide of the Force he moved in a blur. He swung to her right, feinted, and then tried to bring his blade up along the back of her leg.

Whether it worked or not, he threw his hand to her chest, mostly to just push her back with the power of the Force behind it, and his physical augmentations behind it. It would definitely hurt if she was hit it.

Utilizing Nman, she had a relaxed blade work this time. She expanded her senses with the aid of Force Channel. He dashed for her and fainted to her right, she was a Makashi specialist, and feints were some of the most basic maneuvers of that form. She quickly utilized the Ataru side of Niman, and did a acrobatic back flip, quickly landing on her feet. She spun around, and dodged his hand, stepping to his side she began to revert to the Shii-Cho variant of Niman, and quickly brought her blade down in a vertical slash directed at his hand that he just used to land an attack.

When she flipped backwards he rolled backwards away from her. He knew there would be a counter attack in that flip and he was right. Losing a hand wasn't that good for duelling.

He leaped up directly into the air so that he would come down upon her with an angle and he swung to her head on his way down, though he wasn't nearly close enough to actually hit her. In the end, it seemed the Force exploded from his lightsaber, when in actual fact, his free hand had been close to his hilt to give the semblance of holding it, but had actually been directed to her.

When she came in for her attack, she didn't notice that he moved, then he leaped up and came down vertically upon her. She brought her blade up horizontally, it was just in time, she barely made it. The relaxed blade work made it a little harder for her to hold her guard, but she pushed herself. Then she was lifted of her feet and throw to the ground some feet away by a force attack. She slid and came to a halt. She quickly got and assumed her Jedi ready stance once more, "You caught me off guard, I applaud you for that." She said praising that feat,

He walked towards her. It was clear he wasn't going to finish her off within moments. He would have to break her defenses if he wanted to kill her. And so...He will do what must be done. Once he came within range, he swung his lightsaber towards hers in an attempt to take her down aggressively. Whether or not she blocked it, he was already delivering a torrent of attacks with his lightsaber, left right, up, up, down, feint, right, feint left, lunge. And throughout all of his attacks he was using the Force to push him further to let him move faster, hit harder, and recover in time to block her ripostes.

She utilized Ataru, utilizing acrobatic feats along with her strikes. She blocked some of his attacks, and some proved to fast to block which prompted her to perform some type of acrobatics to block, the entire time she was on the defensive, moving backwards. She was closing in on a tree that was coming up close behind her. Still being pushed back, she was caught off guard by one of his strikes that she was going to be quick enough to block, she projected a force barrier at the last minute which force her into the trunk of the translucent plant. She hit her back with a considerable force, and let out a subtle scream in pain. She haunched over for a second, but force herself to get back up.

The moment she had slumped over the tree his hand had appeared at her neck, and by raising up, she only moved herself to meet his hand, and from that, he tightened his hold over her throat for a few moments. And he tilted his head to the side for a moment, before throwing her down across the floor from him. "Get up. Jidai." He said in disgust as he looked to her stand to her feet slowly.

He was only beginning, and from her being knocked back in such a way, he knew she wouldn't be able to hold him off for much longer. All he would need to do is keep up his onslaught of attacks, and he did. Already striking at her again, bringing his lightsaber down low, and up along her vertically, threatening to cleave her in two.

She was caught off guard by his hand making its place around her neck. She placed her free hand over his. Surely he caught her off guard, but this wasn't going to happen again. She wouldn't be so easily discarded. He threw her to the ground and she slid. She slowly got up, and had a determined look on her face. When he made his attempt at attack her, she called for the vines from the tree to reach out and wrap around his hand, stopping his attack. She called for more in attempts to bind him to the tree itself. The vines getting stronger and growing an a increased rate. She jumped back and put some distance between them.

"You might have thought you had me beat, but your surely mistaken sith. Regardless of if you kill me here or not, the light will prevail. Just give up your hatred for peace." She said standing straight up, holding her lightsaber towards the ground. The tip just inches away.

He formed the Force around him when the vines grabbed him and pulled him away from her to hold him. His head snapped to the side, and from the Force that he had gathered he willed the vines to be broken, willing them to completely explode and release him. It took him but a few moments, and when the time came the vines disintegrated with a quiet sound, and he was released and fell down to the floor. "But you see...I do want peace." He started out quietly, as if it were a whisper. "You don't get it do you?" He started to get up to his feet, slowly. "We fight for the same thing, but on different sides." He said, and a grin broke out from behind his helmet. "Join me, Togruta, and you will see a galaxy filled with peace. Join me, if you do not want to see this planet fall." He said, and he spun his lightsaber in his hand, and turning sideways to present a smaller target, he fell onto his back leg, bringing his lightsaber up so it was in line with his shoulder, he looked at her and waited for his response.

She stood in her ready position, watching him break his way through the bindings. She squinted his eyes once he began to talk. Nothing good could possibly becoming from him. She prepared herself for anything. She watched him slowly stand to his feet. He claim that they fought for the same thing was ridiculous. It wasn't near the same thing. He was trying to persuade her to join him, to turn her back on the light and go to the dark. She wasn't going to give in, nor was she going to allow him to destroy this planet. She squinted her eyes slowly.

"You couldn't possibly think I would join you, your low path leads no where." She said, pointing her lightsaber towards him.

Darth Naefas shook his head with a mock sadness. "Hardly Jidai like? You think your path is so high and mighty?" The Sith Lord laughed quite loudly at that. "Look at Manaan Jidai. Your path is the only low path out of the two." He said and he stepped forwards to her and swung his lightsaber around his back, swapped hands and when it came along in front of him, the lightsaber was shot forwards to his now free hand, and the hand where the lightsaber had been located previously, and he swung at her hand to try and relieve her of a hand.
