Private Between a Rock and a Weird Place

NABOO'S ORBIT

As still as swallowing midnight, and as quiet as the ceaseless void, a transport ship hung along the planetary orbit. It was a solemn effigy, torn asunder, pieces and debris dressing its proximity like the haphazard placing of lawn furniture.

Despite how well it blended into the endless void, there was a faint tug from the force. A glimpse within the maddening dark, buried deep within the circuitous corridors of the transport. Jedi Master Dynas's gem-like form drifted, cluttered along the room with an assortment of mundane objects, contrasting the pristine metals with his lustrous bezels.

Still as a fresh painting, everything in its place only moved at the slimmest increments. The vacuum was all consuming in its stillness, before it was ruptured.

A mind-shattering scream filled the hallow ambiance, transcending sound and boring into the fathomable depths of one's mind. Despite his inorganic makeup, even Dynas felt some influence from it's high pitch.

He was not alone.

A transport ship had been caught drifting near Naboo and Lily took the time to go investigate what was going on. The Jedi Knight often threw herself into missions, it was a fun distraction from the more mundane and paperwork based tasks that were beginning to take up her day. Lily was not a desk person, she loved action and getting stuck in the middle of things. However, things were becoming more focused on the day to day as she accepted the council role within the Jedi Order. It was the job that Lily had aspired towards since she knew such a position existed but that didn't detract from the fact that Lily was not the most excited for the desk work that came with such a position.

So, being able to get away from it all was a positive in Lily's mind.

As soon as she stepped onto the transport, Lily knew something was up. It didn't feel normal and the silence was deafening in a way. It was strange to wander around empty halls and not sense any life. Well, almost not sense any life. There was something that called out in the Force. Something that resonated with the Light Side but the presence was not something that Lily was personally familiar with so she wasn't sure what she was trying to seek. Was it a person through the Force? A crystal? A weapon? Something was attuned to the Force but it felt strange in a way.

When Lily passed a room, the presence felt fading, as if she had passed the person by. Turning around, Lily looked into the room. There was not a soul that Lily could see around. The room looked mundane and very ordinary from what Lily could tell but the Force seemed to be suggesting something very different. "Hello?" Lily called out as she looked around the room. Puzzled by the whole ordeal as she continued to look around. Placing her hand on the desk as she tried to suppress the irrational thoughts of this being some sort of ghost ship and she was being haunted.

A silence stretched between Lily's question. Then the communication system of the transport beeping to life, as the voice echoed through the hall. And then a hollow voice responded, warm but precise. The empty hall seemed to glow with.

"Hello. I require assistance." Lights began to flicker, influences of the force to try and catch Lily's attention. "I currently reside in the captains quarters, please make your way there, with haste."

A pause, as the lights began to fade, the comms dwindling in volume as the pristine voice continued.

"But caution is advised. This ship has been assailed by creatures of the deep, that feed upon the light."

Deeper into the transport, Dynas's crystalline body continued to drift within the room, pulsing as he spoke with a faint light. The gravity in the ship was shredded and destroyed, a personal presence would be required to repair it, and Dynas currently could not move.

"They are dangerous. Especially against those who wield the force. I will be of better assistance once you secure me."

A scream, pierced the halls of the ship once more, a slithering and slick presence within the force marking this place. A choir of the same followed.

Star Weirds.
