Advanced Weapon Systems;
Tasha: While unable to effectively go against shielded targets, the Tasha-type plasma cannon is able to cause electrical disturbances.
Scorpii: A turbolaser system with enhanced stopping power, greatly enhanced - at the cost of range.
Herakles: Built to withstand extreme temperatures and deal with energy damage, at the cost of ion/emp and kinetic damage.
Nova: Built to deal with radiation/ion and thermal types of energy but does little against kinetic, and traditional plasma (turbolasers) weaponry.
Modified Sensors: Still tasked with the non-combat role of scientific data analysis the Bercey has a number of modified sensors. Seismic, weather, radiation, atmospheric and many other sensor arrays that make up the advanced sensor suite. While the Multi-Directional Long Range Sensor Suite is made specifically for long range and contains a number of both scientific and tactical sensor arrays.
Mauler: Equipped with Scorpii-type Turbolasers the Bercey is ready to make quick work of enemies in close combat range. In long range, the Bercey can make use of the Tasha-type plasma cannons.
Defenses: Equipped with a redundant deflector shield along with the Herakles-type hull plating, and the Nova-type enhanced radiation shield the corvette becomes hard to hit with traditional ion/energy weapons.
Range: Works either in short/close combat range, or long/battlefield range but is absolutely in effective at standard combat range.
Kinetic: Vulnerable on all accounts to kinetic damage.
Some Ion/EMP: The hull is vulnerable to ion/emp type weaponry.
The Bercey MK II was originally slated for production with the First Order. This was since halted when Primo Victorian Shipwright cut ties with the nation and went on to become an independent shipwright. It then sat until the MK III project came down to it, and many of the science ships. Originally a weather corvette, the MK II deemed an all-purpose science vessel was designed to endure extreme temperatures and handle extreme radiation and to this extent Primo Victorian designed new hull plating system and new shielding technology.
Offensively, the Bercey operates in short range with the new Scorpii-type turbolaser systems, or with the Tasha-type plasma cannons at long range. At standard range the ship is a dud, at best playing hide and seek with would-be opponents if caught, utilizing its sensor decoy probes to try and fool opponents away from itself. It also has the option of hiding within various planetary atmospheres or even further by utilizing its repulsorlifts and waiting for danger to pass.
The corvette is also quite vulnerable to kinetic damage from HVCs, Mass Driver Cannons and the like. The hull plating is also vulnerable to ion/emp damage just as well. A redundant deflector-type shield has been added to give the Bercey some line of defense when attempting to retreat or flee.
