STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
Luck - Benny ambles through life as if she's invulnerable. She definitely is not. It's kind of like the galaxy feels bad for her, or takes so long figuring out what she's doing that by the time it comes to the realization that she shouldn't get away with whatever it is she's already exited stage left. Probably with half the props.
Alcoholic - Benny likes her some illicit goods. Alcohol is her vice of choice, but honestly she will get into basically anything. The best that can be said is that she's generally a cheerful drunk.
Wee Little Jerk - Short for a Ryn, and VERY short compared to most humanoids, Benny can fit in some ridiculous places, on the flipside, she's also only up to some folks waists and obviously in a brawl is going to have a serious disadvantage. Also sometimes her feet don't reach the floor in standard seating and that is SUPER annoying.
Ryn - In some sectors it's perfectly legal to hunt and enslave Ryn. They're generally vewed as scum. thieves and vagrants, not to be trusted. On the other hand, she gets a prehensile tail and a nose she can play music or chat to droids with.
Klepto - Benny has a tendency to 'acquire' things. She's rarely malicious about it, she just sees something she wants and maybe nobodies looking, or maybe they happen to have left the ship open and without a ID key to keep randoms from flying away with it and suddenly she has a new Yacht of her very own. These things happen.
Questionable Ethics - Benny thinks of herself as a good person. But she is happy to lie and steal and consort with people of the very worst sort. She does have a moral compass, but it's one that only really makes sense to her.
Superstitious - Benny has a lot of beliefs that don't really make sense to anyone else. She does lots of odd things for good luck or to avoid bad luck. She doesn't much care what anyone elses opinion on the matter is. She's not particularly gullible, and is unlikely to pick up on an offered new belief, but she also doesn't give up on hers even when inconvenient.
Cleanly - Ryn are as a rule quite concerned about their own hygiene. Benny will call a time out to clean up whether it makes sense in the circumstances or not. You're doing your evil villain speech? Well that's nice, but the hand you're using to drag a Ryn about has guts and such on it, so we're going to need to take a moment here.
Extroverted - Benny will chat with anyone. Literally anyone. And until she's had it proven untrue, she will generally treat them like a long lost friend. Many people find this very baffling.
Kind of a Jerk Sometimes - When she doesn't treat folks like friends though, she doesn't much care what they think or what their opinions are.
Illiterate - She can't read the instructions unless they're in Ryn and they are never in Ryn. Instructional notes left are basically useless. She also will almost never admit to this particular failing.
Force - Benny is of the opinion that the Force is for lunatics and jerks. Trying to convince her that she is in fact force-sensitive is largely a waste of time.
APPEARANCE:
Benny is pretty typical for a Ryn, though she is on the shortside. Tells that differentiate her from a VERY short human would be slightly pointed ears, amber eyes, slightly more prominent canines, a grey tinge to her skin and a tufted leonine tail.
She tends to wear practical clothes, pants, shirt, boots. Always boots. Benny would not be caught dead in heels. What is you had to run? She often has to run. Clothing colour-wise she favours whites, greys, yellows and oranges.
BIOGRAPHY:
Benny was born to an average mother and never knew her father. Her mother, now saddled with a child, settled in a slum Ryn community set on raising her child responsibly. Which was all well and good until Benny hit around 14 years old and got the itchy feet common to Ryn and set out to see the Universe.
There followed years of serving on shady ships, narrowly escaping disaster and generally spending time in the slimiest most questionable locales possible.
The relatively recent theft of a GX1 Short Hauler has opened up rather more opportunities to Benny.
